From the moment that you step into The Merlot House of Halle’s Grove, you will be awestruck by its beauty, located on 5 acres in the middle of an expansive, sunny, blooming garden, and adjoining redwood grove in the heart of coastal wine country. The house is a perfect getaway for singles, one family or multiple families, who desire a country quiet setting. This is a bright, sunny oasis among the tall trees, and the Merlot House can be rented separately, or with the Zin House, a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath house located on the same property. Between Sebastopol and Occidental, it is located 15 minutes from the spectacular Doran Beach on the Sonoma Coast, 3 miles from, Osmosis, the number one ranked Spa worldwide, just 25 minutes from the Russian River Jazz festivals, or 15 minutes from Graton and it Zugat-rated restaurants and galleries and walking distance to at least a dozen Art Trails ranked artisans.
The house comfortably sleeps 8 people with 2 bedrooms, a loft, and 2 baths on two levels. There are 2 master suites, with king sized beds. A queen bed is on the loft, and two twin beds are located in the great room on the ground floor.
The ground floor includes a light and airy great room, with cathedral ceilings and skylights, a cozy wood burning stove, and kitchen. The great room has 8 foot glass doors that overlook a sunny flagstone patio, redwoods, and serene meadow, that borders 250 acres of redwoods.
There are multiple places here to lounge and read; on the patio, and the upper deck that overlooks the garden and fish pond.
A majestic 30 foot diameter circle of second growth redwood trees, also known as a fairy ring, is another special place on the property. The fairy ring, with potable water, 110v power, indirect lighting around the trees and a fire pit, provides a spot to roast hot dogs, make s’mores, and play your musical instruments.
