My family arrived at Bear Crossing the Sunday before Thanksgiving. As we opened the front door and walked in we were enveloped with a cozy, warm hug from the homey atmosphere of the cabin! Every amenity was top notch and we were in total comfort! The beds were so comfortable and the kitchen was so well equipped that I was in heaven! We thoroughly enjoyed the snow flurries that fell one day as we ate a lovely lunch in Helen! The location of the cabin was just perfect and near enough to Helen and all the activities/sightseeing! Susan was such a delight to get to know over the phone and via text! She was ready and able to provide any help that we needed! Our dog, Isla, was welcomed at this cabin and she loved it so much that she seems to not want to leave to come home! I would highly recommend this lovely cabin to anyone who desires a calm, quiet, cozy home to spend a wonderful time! Thanks so much, Susan!

Better than your average bear!
Better than your average bear!
It was our pleasure to stay at Bear Crossing this month. It was all that was advertised and more. The cabin itself is extremely well built and well kept, and stocked with nothing that was not 1st class! We enjoyed it immensely. This is all not to mention that all of north Ga. is readily accessible from there! A great place to stay!

Our family (husband, wife, 2 canine daughters) thoroughly enjoyed our time at Bear Crossing! It was just what we needed - enough in the country to get away but close enough to Helen to keep it simple for multiple trips for Oktoberfest activities, and ample places to walk the girls. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Our favorite part was sitting on the front porch just listening to the birds. Jerry and Susan were most helpful with any questions about Helen and surrounding areas. Hoping to make it back for next Oktoberfest if not before!

From the moment we turned into the driveway, our excitement started to build. Once we stepped inside , we knew we had found the perfect cabin hideaway! The first thing you notice when you open the front door, is how perfectly decorated and immaculate it is. Walking from room to room, you realize the attention to detail, that Jerry & Susan have given to this cabin. The kitchen was fully stocked, there were games for all to play, a huge selection of DVDs' for viewing and the hot tub on the back deck, is in the perfect location for relaxing after a day of site seeing in nearby Helen. There was both a gas and charcoal grill and we cooked several meals here for our family of 5. Our 3 year old granddaughter exclaimed that she loved our new "cabinet". Our 2 daughters, ages 21 & 23 (& not easy to please), said it was the best vacation they had ever been on, and we are already picking out dates for our stay next year! We had a great time "Shooting the Hooch" and visiting the nearby areas of Dawsonville, Dahlonega and Cleveland. Be sure to stop in Betty's IGA while you are in Helen, if only to step back in time, for a moment. Thanks again, Jerry & Susan, for making your beautiful cabin available for the perfect mountain getaway. Now that we have found it. we will never stay anywhere else!!

Where do i begin? This cabin was in immaculate condition. Perfect for our family of four and my parents. Very spacious and cozy! We were Lucky,Susan and Jerry purchased new bed mattresses prior to our arrival! My husband and I slept like a baby!! We had family game night. Cabin was well stocked with games, dvd's, and poles to take with us "Tubing the Hooch". The Hot Tub was on a down due to an electrical issue and Susan refunded a gracious amt of our deposit back just for the inconvenience! Very well maintained Cabin!! Our family looks forward to future visits to Bear Crossing!!

My family and I had a wonderful time, while staying at Bear Crossing. The cabin was well decorated and very clean. We loved the location. It was easy access and although it felt secluded, it was near Unicoi and Helen. Our two daughters and granddaughter enjoyed tubing in Helen and swimming at Unicoi's beach. We went to Babyland General, in Cleveland, mining, shopping and sight-seeing in the area. The hot tub was a relaxing plus, after a busy day. Susan and Jerry were very helpful and a pleasure to work with. They were prompt in answering all our questions. I would highly recommend the Bear Crossing cabin! It is well stocked with everything you'll need. Just bring your food and clothing and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.

Wonderful Get-a-Way! Can't say enough about how nice our stay was at Bear Crossing. This beautiful cabin was the site of our 16th Annual Anniversary trip and is by far one of the best locations we have stayed at yet! It is beautifully furnished with everything needed for a perfect stay, we found nothing lacking. Centrally located for quick and easy access into Helen and the surrounding art communities; we spent our days golfing, shopping, viewing the countryside and our nights in front of the fireplace and in the hot tub. Susan was so helpful suggesting golf course options and shopping locations prior to our arrival and even checked on us after we arrived. We loved our stay and we will definitely be recommending it to others. We will be back! Thank you Susan and Jerry for sharing your cabin and for a wonderful anniversary get-a-way!

My family and I have just returned from a visit to Bear Crossing Cabin and we enjoyed very minute. The cabin is excellent! Susan and Jerry are are so helpful and easy to work with. The cabin is about a ten minute easy drive from Helen and yet so secluded and peaceful. The cabin has everything you could possibly need and then some. It is beautifully decorated, plenty of room, and spotless. You feel at home and relaxed as soon as you walk in. The large back deck is completely private and the hot tub is fantastic! I can't say enough about how perfect this cabin is. You will not be disappointed in any way. We can't wait to return! Susan and Jerry, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful cabin!

Bear Crossing Cabin
Bear Crossing Cabin
Bear Crossing Cabin is truly a great mountain getaway. Cabin is in a beautiful location, close to all the activities that Helen has to offer as well as nearby nature trails. Cabin was beautifully decorated for the Christmas season. Hot tub and hammock were extensively used on our stay. Cabin is meticulously maintained and has all the amenities of home. Susan is a great owner and goes out of her way to welcome our family members including our 2 small dogs. Look forward to my next stay at Bear Crossing.
