  My wife and I have just returned from a weeks vacation in Breckenridge. It was ouir first time in CO and had a wonderful time thanks to a combination of the local hospitality, wonderful scenery,excellent snowfall all of which was complimented by our accommodation. We chose Falcon Lair as it fitted in well with our schedule and our preference for peace and quiet being elevated from the town whilst only a few minutes drive to all amenities. Although only the two of us we knew that the property could accommodate several adults and children, however despite the size we had that all important ‘home from home’ welcoming feel as soon as we arrived. This is a superb property, with all you would expect and more for large families or couples. The house was spotlessly clean and tidy with classic furniture, styled bed and bathroom linens, the largest collection of cooking pans, plates and food prep equipment, flat screen tv’s in almost every room, billiard table, hot tub, double garage for storage of ski, biking or hiking equipment and of course magnificent mountain views. The owners have made every effort to provide you with the correct proceedures for working the heating, humidifiers, hot water, hot tub, trash removal etc and they even telephoned during our stay to check if everything was as expected. We would definitely recommend to friends and collegues and can’t wait to return later this year.

  We stayed at this location over the New Year's holiday, and everyone enjoyed their stay. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable upstairs living room with fireplace and downstairs living/TV room with pool table. Comfortable bedrooms. Beautiful views from the porches, and generous sized hot tub. Owner provides all necessary info and contacts for potential hiccups (the water was slightly low in the hot tub, we called a service that was there within the hour to top it off, on New Year's Eve!).

  The house was very roomy and comfortable. The lower level was fun and comfortable for our 4 adult children who enjoyed the pool table. The older adults stayed on the second floor with plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The house was clean and we really enjoyed the views from each of the decks.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

  Each year I organize a group ski trip to Breckenridge, Vail and Keystone with 12-15 people who mostly fly in from out of state. I found this location for our 2012 trip on short notice and was very pleased. Not only was the owner easy to work with via email, but the descriptions were spot on. If you are looking for high luxury look elsewhere. This place is nice, has everything you need, but is not over the top. Our group is made up of early 30's individuals who wanted a place to relax while we enjoyed a long weekend of skiing, and for that, this place is perfect. We used both garage spots as well as the driveway for our vehicles, so it had ample parking. The main level has a nice dining room and balcony with fantastic views of the ski runs at Breck. The kitchen was big enough and was equipped with everything we needed. There is a basic TV in the living room but to be honest we turned it on once as we were skiing and enjoying the hot tub more often. The upper level tends to get very warm as the thermostat is downstairs where it tends to remain colder. Also if you aren't used to how dry it is be prepared. There is a humidifier downstairs, but if you are sleeping upstairs your nose will be dry. Drink lots of water. The basement has a nice pool table and a great sectional couch with a nice TV with DVD player, again we didn't use too much. Also off the basement is a walkout patio where the hot tub sits for great views during the day and privacy at night. The house was large enough for our group, clean when we arrived and even the neighbors were great. It sits up on Baldy Mountain, so grab your groceries before you head up as it takes a while to get back down. The views are worth having a place farther away from the traditional ski in-out and for the price, you can't beat it. We will look to rent The Falcon Lair in 2013!

If the reservation is cancelled less than 60 days and more than 30 days prior to arrival than a 30% cancellation / administration fee is payable.

If the reservation is cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival a 75% cancellation fee is payable. However, should it be possible to obtain a new Client for the period cancelled then only a 30% cancellation / administration fee will be charged.
