Authentic Log Cabin Near Asheville

Step back in time to the 1930s, to an era when vacations were actually relaxing. This Log Cabin commonly known as the 'Double or Nothing' is a comfortable rustic icon of Americana, located just 2 miles north of eclectic and historic Asheville, NC, city limits. Visit historic sites or stay with us and live the history.
Cable TV, wireless broadband, refrigerators and a coffee maker is provided. Air conditioning is standard and along with a wood-burning fireplace. Complete accommodation setup is provided with linens, towels, and extra blankets. All you need to bring is your toothbrush and blow-dryer.
Vacation packages offered include the Biltmore House and Gardens Tour, or just sit in a rocker out front and take in the many homey touches that make the Log Cabin unique (and an annual tradition for many), cozy up at the fireplace or visit any number of Western North Carolina attractions.
Located between U.S. 25 and U.S. 19-23, the Log Cabin is a natural haven, but close to urban areas. Less than six miles to the center of downtown Asheville, with its abundant shopping, dining, arts, and entertainment, the world famous Grove Park Inn & Spa is less than 5 miles and the equally famous Biltmore Estate less than 8 miles. Take a leisurely stroll around Beaver Lake, less than 3 miles away or Lake Louise at just 6 miles. Picnic along the French Broad River at just 2.6 miles or cruise the Blue Ridge Parkway, just 10 miles away.
Other area attractions include: the quaint town of Weaverville, a few miles to the north: the 435-acre North Carolina Arboretum; and, the Pisgah National Forest, with numerous activities such as mountain biking, swimming, and hiking. Horseback riding and balloon rides are available in the area, as is skiing at Wolf Laurel Ski Resort , 19 miles away, or relaxing at the historic Hot Springs Spa, just 30 miles away. Within an hour or two drive are Harrah’s Cherokee Casino, Chimney Rock Park, Grandfather Mountain, the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, and, of course, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Make the Log Cabin your jumping off spot for any adventure in Western North Carolina. A rustic stopover that time forgot will be a treat you’ll long remember. And while you can always stay in a typical “chain” hotel, why not enjoy the unique experience of spending time in history?
