This beautiful, newly decorated home has hard wood floors and is located on a secluded dead-end street, surrounded by large Live Oak and Palm trees. It's a perfect family home with a large central kitchen-living room- dining room area, but yet has all the privacy you might want too. Many simply stay at the house by the pool, rarely leaving and others use this wonderful home as a central point to venture out for beach walks, kayaking and biking. Whatever you do at Kiawah, this comfortable home will welcome you back home.
Conveniently located in the West Beach area, it's about a five-minute walk or three-minute bike ride to one of the least busy areas of beach on the island. A maritime forest nature walk next door adds extra privacy to the back yard. Also nearby are the West Beach Tennis Club, Cougar Point Golf, Night Herron Park, and the Straw Market. The NEW, PRIVATE 32 x 16 FOOT HEATED POOL (pool open April 1 - November 1) is one of the largest home pools on the island. The large, 50 foot long back deck is perfect for grilling or simply relaxing on rockers that overlook the pool and a large, private back yard, which enjoys a woods-view and is just off a bike/walking path. The covered front porches have old-fashioned porch swings and there's also a screened-in porch, which leads down to a 2-car garage. There is a surround sound stereo system in the living room and a wireless high-speed broadband internet connection. The open, fully equipped modern kitchen connects directly with the dinning and living rooms and all look out over the large private back yard.
The Upstairs Master Suite has a king-size bed, sitting area, TV, DVD, VCR, large walk-in closet with a single fold up bed, private bathroom and its own balcony porch with a swing. Two other Upstairs Bedrooms have two extra long twin beds in each bedroom (four total extra-long twin beds) and TV in each room. The laundry room completes the upstairs. The Downstairs Bedroom has a queen-size bed and TV and DVD player. The large fully equipped kitchen opens to the dining area and living room, which has large comfortable sofas and chairs. This house is all you would ever need. The pool is a major bonus for us. Another couple with two kids go with my husband and two kids each year and we won't go to another place. We have found our golden spot. The kids play on the beach until about 1:00, we take them to the house to feed them, and then we put them in the heated pool until supper. It can't get much better than that.Recommended for: Families with young children.

This is the perfect house for families--right on a bike path, privacy and protection from the Kiawah wind, 5 star accommodations and heated pool. The location is perfect as well, as you have wonderful access to all of Kiawah but have the easiest access to Charleston and the surrounding area. The owners do a wonderful job maintaining the home and all the essentials you need are there. There is not a better home to rent on Kiawah.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We enjoyed this home for it's comfort, it's hominess, and the privacy. It's a great location to the beach and shopping. The bike trail is in the backyard as well as an interesting nature trail identifying different plants and trees of the maritime forest. An overall perfect place and location to stay on the island, close to the beach but yet out of the wind and protected by the forest around you.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

A wonderful family vacation spent at the pool or at the local beach. House in excellent condition and well-maintained. I would recommend this property for families. We enjoyed jogging along the bike paths or along the beach. Only recommendation would be to have bikes included in the rental as renting them was very expensive.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

This has been my favorite place to stay after visiting Kiawah for 15 years. The location is ideal and the facilities are excellent. I was extremely pleased with the pool. We loved spending our 2009 Family Christmas Holiday at this special house on Kiawah. Even in the winter we enjoyed beach walks and trail rides on bikes. The house is all we hoped for - great kitchen space for cooking our Christmas dinner and ample living room space for the grandchildren to open gifts and play with toys. Great stay for our entire family. This home is very comfortable - perfect for a family. Pool was super... very private. Easy access to everything, including golf, beach, and trails. WOW!!! I can't say enough about this house. I have been going to Kiawah for the past 11 years and this house is by far the best house ever. The pool was a HUGH hit with our kids. We would go to the beach in the morning until about 1:00. Then it was back to the house for lunch and then the pool was next on the list. The kids stayed in the pool until supper. We loved kiawah and the house! The pool was great, although we didn't use it that often. It was nice to have. The kitchen had what we needed. we rented a boat one day and got crabs and I didn't know if we would be able to fix them but the house had everything we needed. We have stayed at Kiawah since 1982 in various accommodations. We have been at this location for the last two years and would not consider another rental property. It is perfect in all aspects.
