We had a wonderful time at the lake house. Great views and the house was just as described. We were able to rent a pontoon boat for the day and actually see the house from the lake. This rental will definitely stay bookmarked!

Good view, clean home, plenty of room, easy rental process, quiet area, nice trail to lakefront, and more. We had a real mini-vacation/weekend getaway!

Lovely home for a quiet getaway

We stayed there over Thanksgiving and through the weekend--lovely location, home is very nice, comfortable, and well-decorated. It is way off the beaten path--perfect for those who really want to get away. There were 4 adults--the max for enjoying an evening together around the fire in the living room. Our only complaint was the inability to have good cell service and lack of wifi.

Recommended for:Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We arrived a couple days before Thanksgiving to spend the holiday at the house (half the group from DC, half from Dallas). While the house is nice, there were several issues that could not be overcome: First, there is no wifi at the house. There are 900 channels on the television but no internet access. The homeowner informed us of this the day before we arrived with the explanation that "it is by design - the house is meant for relaxing." He continued, that if we require internet access we can get it at the pool/rec center up the hill. There is wifi there but it is very slow and unless you want to sit on a workout bench to use it then it's worthless. By my own admission, this is my fault; it says no where in the description that it has wifi - poor assumption on my part. Second, the oven broke while we were cooking on Thanksgiving. The heating element arced and broke and rendered the oven useless. This is bad most days, but especially on Thanksgiving. When it was obvious the oven was not going to work for cooking the rest of the meal we headed outside to use the grill on the deck. What we found was a rusty old grill with only half function of one burner. That wouldn't work so we put everything in the refrigerator and ate what we had. The next day we drove 30 minutes to Cookeville to find some food and a coffee shop with wifi. After four hours in a coffee shop we decided that trying to pack our evening plans into a couple hours each day in another town further ruins the "vacation." Another not-as-severe misleading "feature" is the Playstation that is offered. It's great to have but having some games to go with it would have made it even better. We had enough and informed the homeowner that we were leaving a day early because of all the inconvenience. He offered a reduced rate stay in the future but refused any sort of monetary refund. Overall it was a very disappointing stay.

We ask all guests to review and accept our home info sheet/rental agreement at time of reservation for purposes of clarification. My personal cell phone number is available for any questions or concerns. Due to the unfortunate situation with the oven, we did send a partial refund for the inconvenience. Our goal is to have our guests enjoy a memorable and pleasant stay.

Rented this cottage for 4 days beginning the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Over the weekend there were 6 of us - plenty of room, very comfortable, very nicely decorated, great floor plan, felt like home. The view of the lake is great - we will definitely rent there again. Liked the 90 minute drive from Nashvile, felt like we were in Gatlinburg without wasting the driving time.

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Great Cabin!

We stayed in the cabin for a girls weekend and it was perfect! Everything was tastefully decorated and the place was immaculate. The sunrise over the lake was beautiful!

After staying here I figured out that I will never check into a traditional hotel room while on vacation ever again! My stay at Center Hill vacation home has been an amazing experience for me. Thats all I could say, see for yourself! Thanks guys! I will definately be back. ;)

Peaceful Tranquility in a Gorgeous Home

The "Center Hill Cottage" is a beautiful escape for couples or for larger groups. My boyfriend and I shared our 2 year anniversary here and the view from the top deck was gorgeous! Hearing hooting of owls and howling of coyotes in the distance at night was awesome, as well as the close up view of a star filled sky--simply amazing!! The house had all of the necessities for our trip. The living room was SO comfortable for cozy movie watching in front of the fire! The pool table provided a great competitive break. We enjoyed a short walk down the lake trail to peaceful days of fishing. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this home. This shorter drive from Nashville is a welcome getaway from the longer drive to the Smoky Mountains and this location is much more serene and quiet.

Relaxing Vacation

We rented this home on Center Hill Lake for a week in October of 2011. We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation, and the views were spectacular with all the brightly colored leaves. The neighborhood was peaceful and the house was just as described in the listing. We loved the spacious living area, and our son loved the pool table. We had a wonderful time. Thank you!

Nicer than Florida condos

I spent a weekend here when the weather was dreary, but it had no effect on my stay. This lake home is a higher quality than any home or condo I have rented at the beach (Seaside included). Cozy atmosphere, 4 private bathe, lots of decks, it was the BEST !!

Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us for our trip to Center Hill Lake. The cottage was beautiful and had all the comforts of home. We were at the lake, but certainly weren't "roughing it". It was a perfect welcome after a day on the lake or a canoe trip on the Caney Fork River. we spent days on the lake and late afternoons at the pool which was just the ticket for our six year old with boundless energy.

"Thank you so much for the beautiful "cottage". The space and beauty of this place is hard to describe with all the bathrooms, the great kitchen, the size of the decks, the only thing you need is food. The early morning walks were so quiet and peaceful . It was the BEST and most RELAXING vacation we have ever had. The pool table and resort size pool was icing on the cake. We can't wait to come back.

Thank you so much for a great weekend getaway! The lakehouse and location were perfect! We loved the peaceful views from the decks! We could not have asked for a more beautifully decorated place to stay- we especially loved the artwork... the house was so special and so comfy cozy for the entire family. The fishing was fantastic, and we didn't even get out on a boat!! Thank you for the Burgess Falls recommendation- it was refreshing and breathtaking! Truly we could not have asked for anything better- beautiful home, beautiful surroundings, and a peacefulness we all needed! Thank you and we look forward to visiting again!"
