Our cottage is bright, spacious and clean, perfect for a family vacation. It is a great blend of modern and rustic to give that "cabin at the lake feel" with knotty pine walls & cathedral ceilings, and a wood burning fireplace in the living room. We are a two minute walk to one of the best beaches on the island "Cocktail Cove"; with unquestionably the best sunsets. We are also less than a five minute walk to the community center (pool, air hockey, entertainment) as well as tennis and basketball courts.
There are decks in the front & back, as well as a beautiful 3 season screened porch in the back of the home.
The first floor includes a nice size master bedroom with queen bed, full bath, laundry room, kitchen, living room and three season porch.
The upstairs includes 2 bedrooms (each with 2 twin beds), a sleeping loft with a twin bed, and a 3/4 bathroom with stand up shower.
There is a small, private lawn with a chimnea that can be used with permission from the on island fire department. There is ample parking.

My husband and I stayed at this cozy Chalet in the woods and it was such a wonderful experience. We were truly able to relax and forget about the hustle and bustle of everyday living. Everything was clean and well maintained. The chalet was spacious and quaint and had all the creature comforts of home. It was far away from neighbors so we really felt like we had alot of privacy. The furniture was all very comfortable and the atmosphere was just what you'd imagine a lodge should be. We really loved having the back room for the girls to watch TV and play while we relaxed in the front room or on the balcony but knew they were safe. Also, the back sun room was really beautiful int he morning with the sun pouring in. The great room was so bright and inviting. The owners were wonderful as well. Very helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be going back again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

Why the Owner Chose Frye Island:
We rented on Frye Island one summer and were hooked! The natural beauty of the island and the lake, the community, and the sense of going back to simpler times. Stress melts away when you arrive on the island! This is just a wonderful place for kids and dogs! Homes are nicely spaced for privacy and there is loads of open/undeveloped space, and many island amenities including 13 beaches, golf, tennis among many others.
The Unique Benefits at this Chalet:
This place just makes us relax. We don't worry about the kids playing outside, or the dog getting loose! This is just a great, laid back community.
