The Vitamin Sea can give you that healthy dose of coastal comfort that you’ve been missing. This 4 bedroom/2 bath home is a throwback to more classic beach cottages and sits just across the street from the sands of Folly Beach. The wood used throughout the home provides a whisper of childlike memories that have been wonderfully aged by seasons of salty air. At the front of the home is a wooden, screened-in porch with limited views of the ocean. On the backside is a larger deck with a sunshade and plenty of room for gathering or grilling on the gas grill.
Inside, everything is classic wood. This is a beautiful example of a classic Folly Beach House. The owner supplies the best linens, comfortable bedding and our assurance of a clean and comfortable stay.
The home is equipped with a full kitchen and living room with a small dining area set between the two. In addition to the three bedrooms mentioned above is an adorable, little bunk room that overlooks the back deck. The room is furnished with a bunk tucked into the corner and some closet space. This little gem completes the sailing ship illusion. The public beach access is just a few steps away from the Vitamin Sea so you get to mix all the luxuries of a day on the beach with the convenience of having the Atlantic Ocean at your fingertips. Stargazing, beach combing, sun bathing, swimming and any other beach activity you may be looking forward to is right outside your door.
The Vitamin Sea is located ten blocks away from the crowds on Center Street so the peace and quiet of a the ocean breeze rustling the fronds of the Palmetto trees while waves lap on shore is yours to savor. However, all of the shopping, dining and entertainment of Center Street is only a short drive or bike ride away.
Visiting historic Charleston for the day? The historic district is approximatly 20 minutes from the beach.
Well behaved house-broken, flea treated dogs are welcome with approval. Please include the bred and size of the pet you want to bring when you inquire.

This delightfully, quirky beach house is the perfect place for a wonderful beach vacation. My family and I spent Thanksgiving week here and had all we needed to be comfortable. We all agreed we were looking forward to our next vacation here. Wonderful screened porch and a huge back deck were where we spent a lot of our time. The property is clean and well maintained as the listing states and the only drawback was it is necessary to go through one of the bedrooms to one of the bathrooms.Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Cozy, cute, comfortable, charming, clean cottage! It looks just like the photos describe...very well-kept! Exactly what we were looking for a family vacation. Steps from the beach! A perfect porch for relaxing and gatherings, and convenient to everything! Our dogs loved early morning and evening walks on the beach. Our (grown) kids joined us for a few days and we all had plenty of space and made wonderful memories! We will be back! We loved the Vitamin Sea! I love rustic, but well-turned-out and comfortable beach houses and this fills the bill! Comfy beds, a well-stocked kitchen and a beach access right across the street made for a wonderful time at Folly Beach. We had 2 Italians with us visiting the US for the first time and they had a blast! We loved Bowen's Island Seafood, Taco Boy, Lost Dog and McKevlin's Surf Shop - all Folly Beach classics and great recommendations.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We had an amazing experience and absolutely loved our stay! This sweet cottage comfortably accommodated our young child, our 80 year old grandmother, and us 30-somethings in between :). We loved doing puzzles and drinking coffee on the spacious porch, walking right across the street to the beautiful beach, and even hanging out on the back deck for dinner at 'home'. The house was so clean, the owner was very responsive and easy to work with, and the rooms were all beautiful. We hope to visit this wonderful home again!Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

LOVED this house. It had everything we needed to make for a comfortable stay. Owner very easy to work with and prompt in replies to questions pre-arrival. Also very quick return of security deposit. Great location on a great little big island. Small town old time feel. Wonderful beds and very comfortable and well stocked. Nicer bathroom than most. Plenty of room underneath for our beach stuff next time we could bring a small boat.(?), didn't feel like our things would be unsafe there. Highly Recommend. My family stayed at the Vitamin Sea for the weekend. The home was beautiful as well as spotless. Everything we needed was readily available. There was plenty of parking and even a backyard. We cooked and grilled on the deck. Beach access is across the street. It has a great covered front porch and large back deck. Showers are outside to rinse of from beach. We hope to come back this summer for a week. Highly recommend.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Vitamin Sea. This was an adorable cottage with all the amenities you need and plenty of space. The house was very clean, there was a lot of privacy, and it was decorated to the "T". It was in a perfect location to the beach. The wood throughout the house was so beautiful along with a charming porch and huge deck. I took my mother and 3 young teenagers and it was a wonderful place to stay. Greg was a pleasure to work with and was very helpful with the rental. I would definitely recommend it to others and I will hopefully return in the future!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I have stayed here several times,for family vacations and weekend getaways. This charming cozy beach cottage is a jewel! Only steps from the beautiful beach and a short walk to the pier. We always enjoy the short drive to shop in downtown Charleston or just stroll the streets. Let me not forget the fun we have bike riding in the Folly beach area-perfect!! Wonderful property location, just a 30 second walk to the sand! Our family spent a week at Christmas at the Vitamin Sea and had a great time! It feels like you never left home, except you're at the beach! We spent several mornings and evenings on the screened in front porch having coffee and checking emails while listening to the waves. The landscaping is awesome with Live Oaks, Palm Trees and sea shells throughout. You can be at several awesome places to eat withing a 5 minute bike ride! Our favorites were Rita's Seaside Grill and the Lost Dog Cafe! Donna was a wonderful host and we highly recommened this property, and it's cheaper than a Hotel.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.
