Welcome to 'Hale Melia' (House of Plumeria Flowers), your Kauai home away from home!
A ground floor unit with an artistic and Asian flair - we are just steps away from the gardens, pool and ocean. Our remodeled kitchen has granite counters, housewares and there is a shared barbeque area in the gardens. The bedroom has a king bed with new mattress, teak furnishings and is light and airy. Sliding glass doors onto the lanai with views of Prince Kuhio State Park and the ocean are brightest in the morning.
• The acclaimed Beach House Restaurant is across the street and world class surfing at breaks just in front of the restaurant.
• A safe swimming and snorkeling cove is just off the grassy lawn where you can swim with the turtles as well as myriads of brightly colored fish.
• Less than a miles down the road is the spectacular Spouting Horn, an ocean blowhole that spouts geysers of water.
• Nearby is the Kukui'ula Small Boat Harbor for snorkel, dive or fishing tours.
• Just beyond that is the National Botanical Tropical Gardens where scenes of Jurassic Park and Pirates of the Caribean were filmed.
• Walk 10 minutes to the Kukui'ula Village, an upscale shopping resort of restaurants, shops and a gourmet farmer's market on Wednesday afternoons.
• Our lanai overlooks the Prince Kuhio State Park, a verdant and quiet park of ancient Hawaiian ruins and 'heiaus'.

Loved this place!
Loved this place!
I was a little skeptical at first since it seemed to be such a good deal for the area and there weren't any reviews for us to read. But we were very happy when we arrived and found it spotless and nicely decorated. Very comfortable and everything we needed was there in the room for us to use. This south island location was a great spot for us to stay to go to the South Island activities like Waimea Canyon and access to our snorkel tour which left from nearby Port Allen.

Lovely PoiPou Beach treasure
Lovely PoiPou Beach treasure
Great little Condo with all the comforts of home....with the bonus of being more like a hotel...The property was very lush and "Kauai like", well maintained pool etc. The condo itself was what I would call "luxurious", nicely decorated, comfy bed, great windows that kept the suite cool and airey, CLose to beach and shops. Would be nice if there had been a bit of an info sheet/maps etc in the condo explaining where shops and services were, found it a bit difficult to get the "lay of the land". Grocery stores etc.....took us 3 days to realize there was a great Big and Save grocery store in Koloa. We have a cottage we rent out and I keep a current note as to where all the great hikes, beaches, stores galleries etc are, know my guests find it very helpful.

Owner response: Thank you, Debbie! We have started a directory of grocery stores, restaurants, and sights that we email to incoming renters now. Glad you liked Kauai and Poipu - we agree; it's the best!
