Tall Trees is surrounded by stunning gardens and bordered by tall trees - so you can be surrounded by the natural beauty of the island yet still be within walking distance of a shopping mall, the fabulous Mooberry Winery and Little Qualicum Cheeseworks, and all the facilities at French Creek marina including the Creek House restaurant. Only 35 minutes by car from the BC Ferries terminal in Nanaimo and 2 and 1/2 hours from the Swartz Bay terminal in Victoria, Parksville is also accessible by air from Comox, and Nanaimo.
Tall Trees Getaway is a well-appointed one bedroom ground level apartment suite with private entry. You can watch the birds in the trees from your own little deck area and enjoy the views of the gardens all around you.
The apartment accomodates 2 guests in one bedroom with a Queen size bed, and can accomodate additional guests on a double sofa-bed with pillow-top mattress. For children or babies, we provide a portable crib and high chair on request free of charge.

Parksville is home to some of Canada's best beaches! We enjoy a lovely summer and mild winter, so we do get visitors throughout the year. Local attractions include the sandcastle competition at Beachfest every year, a huge Canada Day celebration, fantastic parks, charming village shopping in Qualicum and your choice of beaches which are all fantastic for children to investigate tide pools and safe for swimming. Englishman River Falls is close by for fabulous hiking and a great summer swimming hole that all the locals use! Parksville has a surprising amount of great local and ethnic restaurants for a small town, so you won't have to look far for great food. Our beachside town has fabulous scenery all year round, so we welcome guests to visit any time!

About the owner: Vern and Sandra Hupp moved to Parksville to retire in 2001 to get away from the chilly Calgary winters and pursue their dream of sailing the Gulf Islands. Sharon and Ian Todd moved to Parksville from the United Kingdom in 2009.
Why the Owner Chose Parksville: We bought the large property at Wembley Road because of the multiple accommodation suites as we wanted to live close to our daughter and her family after they moved back to Canada from the UK in 2009. We loved the property immediately as it also had the extra accommodation to set up a vacation apartment, which was a long-standing ambition after moving to the beautiful Oceanside region.

Our guests enjoy all the space and tranquility surrounding the property and love the added perks such as a swingset and badminton net out front if they come as a family, and the huge front garden area for our doggie guests. If you come in the summer, expect to get deliveries of fresh fruit and veggies straight out of our extensive gardens!
