My husband, two kids ages 5 and 1.5 and I stayed here for three nights. We had a great time. There was lots of room and the kitchen was fully stocked which made cooking for the family easy. The owners even supplied a selection of spices. The grounds are lovely and we were able to see deer on a couple of occasions. The kids loved the swing set. The location is wonderful as it is a short drive to many parks. We really enjoyed Rathtrevor Provincial park and Englishmen River Falls Provincial park.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We looked it up on Google Earth to find the location but our GPS had a problem finding the street address. The owners made us very welcome. The unit was new with modern furniture and fittings, hardwood floors, and a nice big yard with lawns trees and shrubs. Good parking on site. The owners were very understanding when we had to leave early when our dog got sick. All in all it was a very nice experience which we would recommend.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, pet owners.

Delightful place! I stayed here with my 1 year old daughter for 3 days and it was perfect! Extremely nice and gracious hosts, everything you need to travel with a baby (even the place was pretty childproofed!) and easy access to anything in Parksville. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. We felt right at home! I would definitely stay again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

We were welcomed as soon as we arrived. The apartment was perfect! The kitchen was fantastic, bathroom clean and laundry available to use when needed. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. They were so sweet, they left us fresh fruit when we returned from a day trip. Location is great ,walking distance to Mooberry Farm, and short drive to the beach. We will definitely be booking again in the near future! Thanks so much Vern, Sandra, Sharon, Ian and kids!Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, pet owners, families with young children.

It was the perfect place in so many ways - we were very fortunate to have found it! The apartment and yard is better then the pictures displayed. It was exceptionally clean and has eveything you need - they thought of everything - the bed was comfortable too!. The location was perfect for us being centrally located (we took day trips up and down the island). We appreciated the friendly and personable owners and felt safe at all times. We have already recommended to family and friends and really hope go back again and stay for 2 weeks the next time!Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, adventure seekers.

My wife and I booked two weeks at the Tall Trees Getaway in Parksville not quite sure whether it would suit us but the very warm welcome we received from the owners when we first arrived could not have been more friendly and immediately put us at our ease. The apartment was spotlessly clean with all necessary facilities and the stores in the mall just a block away sold everything you might need. The owners were full of excellent ideas of places to visit and good places to eat out if we did not want to cook for ourselves. The property was well located just a short distance from the main highway going south to Victoria and north up island. However, Tall Trees Getaway itself proved an oasis of calm with deer wandering in of an evening and black beers to be seen not far away. It proved a very relaxing place to stay - away from the bustle of city life and a superb place to unwind. We will definitely be returning before many months pass.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

We had four adults here, two on the fold-out couch, as an extra room during a family get-together. It was very clean and quiet, with comfortable bedding, and the owner was available but unobtrusive. The location is convenient to Morningstar Farm (Qualicum Cheeseworks and Mooberry Winery), Goats on the Roof in Coombs, and other attractions. The TV is not very big but we enjoyed the DVD selection. We had a very nice stay!Recommended for: Sightseeing.

My sister and I stayed at this immaculating clean and charming apartment. I would highly recommend this vacation getaway to all. Lots of great golf courses, restaurants and a short drive to the ocean. The owners are lovely and helpful and give you the privacy you need to enjoy your stay. The apartment is spascious and has lots of light. The kitchen is fully functional and has a window overlooking a gorgous back gardien. It also has an adorable covered patio. There is plenty of parking and the walkway has lots of light to the entrance. We felt like it was our home away from home!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, pet owners, families with young children, people with disabilities.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2010
About the owner: Vern and Sandra Hupp moved to Parksville to retire in 2001 to get away from the chilly Calgary winters and pursue their dream of sailing the Gulf Islands. Sharon and Ian Todd moved to Parksville from the United Kingdom in 2009.
Why the Owner Chose Parksville:
We bought the large property at Wembley Road because of the multiple accommodation suites as we wanted to live close to our daughter and her family after they moved back to Canada from the UK in 2009. We loved the property immediately as it also had the extra accommodation to set up a vacation apartment, which was a long-standing ambition after moving to the beautiful Oceanside region.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
You will feel right at home as soon as enter Tall Trees Getaway. Our guests enjoy all the space and tranquility surrounding the property and love the added perks such as a swingset and badminton net out front if they come as a family, and the huge front garden area for our doggie guests. If you come in the summer, expect to get deliveries of fresh fruit and veggies straight out of our extensive gardens!
