My wife and I rented this place for a week. It was our first trip to the Key's and we could not have been happier. The pictures do not do justice to how pretty the view actually is. We loved using the kayak and the fishing poles. We actually got several baracuda and snapper right off the dock! This house is very comfortable, has all the amenities you need and is located close to many fun things and restaurants. Wendy was fantastic to work with and goes the extra mile to make everything easy.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We had a very nice stay. The location was very private and mostly peaceful. The patio on the ocean was very private and a great place to read books and relax, We spent a lot of time there. When it was windy the sunroom was a great alternative. The Golf Cart was a great added feature for getting around. We saw lots of Florida wildlife, Ducks, Raptors, Pelicans and a large variety of sealife. The location and it,s proximity to Founder's Park and lots of Islamorada resturants was great. We have vacations in the Keys for 11 years and this year was one of the best.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, pet owners.

Thank you so much for a wonderful time. The place was spotless, location beautiful, neighbor"s terrific. Sharon was just so helpful and went out of her way to make us all feel like we were right at home. Our son caught the biggest Tarpin fish off the deck you can only imagine. Hopefully Sharon can post the picture for you all to see. The welcoming flowers in every room were beautiful, as was the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Thank you to your wonderful neighbor Kevin that toured us all around on his boat. We all had such a great time, both young and old. Hope to visit again soon. The place was perfect, beds comfortable and breathtaking views....Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers.

As far as fishing goes, it doesn’t get much better than Islamorada! Especially when you can catch your limit of Snapper every day off of your back porch. Not to mention all the other species you can catch right behind or within walking distance from this amazing property. I caught a 200 pound Bull shark that was over six feet long off of the back dock with the help of a neighbor, a Bonnet Head Shark, a Nurse Shark, Bonefish, two Tarpon, Stingray, Barracuda, blue crab, and as I said, a cooler full of Snapper and an aquarium’s worth of all manner of strange little sea oddities. The house is perfect with everything you’d need and there is plenty to do in the area. But if your like me the only time you’ll leave your backyard honey hole will be to get more beer and bait!!! There are Kayaks for tooling around the little bay area and a prime snook spot is a short wade across the little backyard lagoon. There is a Bar with a grill right out on the deck. I really can’t say enough about this spot or the owner. Had a chance to throw a brew back when she came down to help a neighbor out. She’s a very cool lady! My three year old had a blast wading out on the slack tide with me and seeing all the sea life. He also started casting all by himself while we were there. There is also a small Salt Water Crocodile that lives in the neighborhood boat basin!!! Be sure to take a day and drive down for the beaches at Bahia Honda State park!!!! And if you make it to Key West, be sure you eat at my Buddy Len’s restaurant, “Better Than Sex, a Dessert Restaurant!”Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

For our sons senior trip he wanted to go to the Keys fishing. I did a lot of research and found Wendy’s place through the VRBO. I had never rented through VRBO before so I was a little nervous. When we arrived Wendy helped us locate the boat ramp and showed us where to park our boat trailers. She has a golf cart that guests use and it came in very handy during our stay. My kids also enjoyed the bicycles. Camp Wendy was clean and everything is provided…towels, sheets, etc. My family loved fishing from the deck and using the kayak. Wendy’s place is right on the water and we were able to have our boat right there and go out to fish and snorkel. We were 10 minutes away from Hen and Chickens reef which was so beautiful for snorkeling. My son was so happy with his senior trip he didn’t want to leave and he already wants to go back. We loved everything about Camp Wendy and would recommend it to everyone. We plan to return as soon as possible.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

This is a very unique place, in that it's right on the Atlantic Ocean, yet private, Wendy was very helpful and accomadating as was Sharon, who's just right down the road. We had everything we needed. Camp Wendy was clean and the walk-in shower was a nice surprise. Kitchen was equipped with the essentials for cooking and the grill outside was great to have. Refrigerator in the sunroom was very handy, right next to the bar for bait and beverage. Can't say enough about the sunroom, that we enjoyed so much. We were still finding things on the wall that we had not seen before on the day we left. Interesting, Interesting. Washer/dryer was great to have because we travel light. Patio, dock and view was awesome. Taking the trash was an adventure, using the golf cart to tool around the neighborhood and see the other interesting places there. We spent our days fishing off the dock, cooling off in the ocean and taking an afternoon nap on the patio. If you like massage, Sharon is a massage therapist at a reasonable price and it is well worth the the money to get a massage on the ocean. Fishing rods were there for our use, cable channels were abundant with movies and books that gave the history of the Keys. Just what we needed for a week of R and R. Thanks Wendy for sharing your place. Look forward to coming back.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Hello, This place is awesome! Wendy was so helpful and patient in answering all of my questions and concerns, of which I had several because I had never rented a vrbo before. It isn't easy to do all the planning via the internet and sending money to people that you don't know. I researched 100's of places, up to and including verifying ownership and year purchased. I just wanted to let you know that I am tenacious in research and Wendy was truthful, honest and up front with everything. She is amazing! Now about the place. It was everything and more than we hoped for! There is no fancy editing of the pictures of the property. What you see is exactly what you get. (and more) If I am being honest, when you first pull into the trailer park, you wonder for a second, but her place is out on the point and very well kept and clean! You will spend most of your time out back sitting on the dock and relaxing! It is beautiful and well lit if you want to fish at night. We fished every day and caught several species of fish including, puffer fish, box fish, sting ray, bonnethead shark, mangrove snapper, and porgies. One morning I went out to the dock to take some pictures of a storm moving in and I caught movement in the corner of my eye and when I turned to see what it was, a huge dolphin surfaced not 5 feet from me blowing water on me!! Yes, I had to change my britches, but it was magical!! We saw some snook running through, but didn't catch them. (couldn't keep them right now) If you are fishermen, this is the place for you! If someone paid me to stay at the Ritz Carlton, I would pay to stay here! When you sit out back, the rest of the world doesn't exist. Very private and beautiful. Her neighbor and friend, Sharon is amazing and will answer any questions that you have. We had the most amazing Captain chartered for 2 days of fishing. Brian Gwilliam of Serenity Charters went above and beyond to insure many dreams fulfilled, including a 153 lb Tarpon. We commisioned a local artist, Pasta Panteleo to paint an original oil to immortalize our Tarpon catch and it is just stunning! We also had the World Wide Sportsman ship 17 lbs of redfish and sea trout home so you can save your catch! I could go on with all the amazing memories but you get the idea! Awesome place, Awesome owners, Awesome neighbors and another thing checked off of our bucket list!! ENJOY!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

This rental is right on the water--the bedroom window might as well be a porthole! 4 steps down from the patio into the water! The listing description was accurate, the photos exact (though they didn't show the pretty garden), everything was clean and orderly. The owner was helpful in answering questions before and during our stay, and she came by to greet us on arrival day. She also had a neighbor there who was always ready and willing to be helpful. I'd definitely recommend this rental to others. The place is homey, the furniture is comfy and great for sprawling, and she had a kayak, fishing rods, swimming noodles, zero-gravity loungers, hats, towels, sunglasses all at our disposal, as well as a basket of brochures on local attractions. We added 2 inflatable water rafts, and were all set! Founders Park, across the road, is a great town park. If owner provides a rental agreement, you can show that and get a discount on the entrance fee there. Islamorada is close to everything--supermarkets, drug stores, restaurants, bars, water rentals, etc. 'Robbie's Marina is great for lunch on the water, as well as feeding the tarpon, going out on a fishing boat, or renting other water equipment. Note: bring or buy water shoes, as swimming in the Keys has either rocks, shells, or plants on the bottom. And the best beach with sand and deeper swimming that we found was Sombrero Beach, in Marathon. Has a clean change house, outdoor showers, some shade, and lovely swimming. Great place to stop for a swim on the way to a day or evening in Key West. Oh, and the Rum Barrel, a bar on Somerton in Key West, has great open mike bands at their roof-top bar on Thursday nights. We heard Larry Baeder, a great lead guitarist, among others. Hooked on Books is an excellent independent bookstore just a couple of miles south of this rental on Hwy 1.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

I really hesitated to write this review because I didn't want anyone else to find it and possibly take my time next year. I have nothing but good to say about this rental, from the owners to the location. So many things to do and see or just relaxing on the patio...clean, well furnished. Very, very relaxing. We used the kayaks and also brought our own swim rafts. Saw several kinds of fish swimming right off the patio. The area has great restaurants near by but the kitchen is fully equipped and you would never have to leave...also enjoyed grilling outside...my only regret is I wish I could stay longer.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

About the owner: We are a couple who loves fishing and Islamorada. We live in Miami and this is our weekend get away, as the fishing is much better is Islamorada than Biscayne Bay. We have 2 kids and 4 grandkids that live up North and visit mostly in the winter months. :) Our home is very clean and reflects our fun personalities. If you choose to stay with us, you'll keep coming back. It is private, tranquil and has a million dollar view, day or under the stary stary nights....In the 1800's they used these waters for medicinal purposes, the RX was written for 'healing waters'
Why the Owner Chose Islamorada:
We love the keys and are both fisher people and divers. This location is quiet and has some of the best fishing in the world. My husband has been in many tournaments and is full of good fishing spots and suggestions.
The Unique Benefits at this Mobile Home:
We enjoy all of our neighbors and friends in the keys, we say Islamorada is where the fishing is great, but your friends better.
