Once you open the front door, and see the view of the ocean and palm trees that will confirm you made the right choice in picking our condo. It's beautiful- travertine tile throughout, slabs of Italian granite, to tropical upholstery; however, it's all over-shadowed by the mesmerizing ocean view. Take advantage of our low rates on Vacation Home by Owner. Nihi Kai Villas is situated across the road from the ocean and tide pools, in a lush setting of plantings that include bird of paradise plants to rainbow shower trees which combine to create the Island style that you will find warm and inviting.
Our condo has four lanais (patios), but there is one that's king, and that's the one off the living room. We have a tall metal table with an antique finish and four chairs. It's almost an extra room, because you will want to begin every morning with your coffee on the lanai and end the day, watching the sunset as you sip a glass of wine.
Our kitchen has new honey colored cabinets that are well stocked from dishes to cooking tools. There's a new stainless steel microwave and refrigerator. The granite on one of the counters is a work of art. It's so gorgeous, you might be tempted to take it home in your carry on. The dining room has a long wooden table with six chairs. A large flat screen TV is in the living room. The sofa converts into a queen size bed.
The stairs to the lower level are covered with hand-carved hardwood. This floor, as well as the floor above, is wall-to-wall imported travertine tile. The bedroom has twin beds that can be combined to make a king sized bed. The bedroom comes complete with a flat screen TV. The connecting bathroom has a fresh honey colored cabinets, a mirror framed in kola wood, and a luxurious walk-in shower. Down the hall, is the safe for those items that need extra security and a washer and dryer to help you pack light. The second bedroom has a king size bed and a flat screen TV. The connecting bathroom, also, has a fresh, honey colored cabinets and mirror framed in kola wood. The bathroom has a shower/bath combination.
There are ceiling fans in every room and the trade winds, too, that will keep you comfortable.
You'll have fun in the ocean with swimming, surfing, boogie boarding, and snorkeling. Remember the ocean is just steps away. There are so many activities to do from helicopter tours, hiking, take a zip-line, catamaran cruises on the Napali Coast that you won't be able to do it all; so when you return, book with us and receive a 10% discount.
We have additional fun packed in the condo with boogie boards, 8 sets of snorkeling equipment & fins, and 3 good sets of golf clubs (one is a woman's set).

I just wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed staying at your place in Poipu! The location is great and it was very clean. It was also very nice that you supplied just about anything that we would need to enjoy the beaches and island. We had such a relaxing time. Mahalo. We cannot say enough about the comforts and aminities this condo has to offer. The kitchen has all new appliances, the bedrooms are large and roomy, and beds are so comfortable. We liked the cross breeze when you opened the windows and had the smell of fresh ocean and cool air though out. We liked sitting on the front porch for quiet time and being able to see the ocean at the same time. The entire complex is so nice with the choice of swimming in the pool, playing tennis, or a quick walk to the beach. This condo was the best value, 5 star stay, all new bedding, towels and tremendous upgrades. We were very pleased with the choice of beach toys available to us. Snorkeling gear, beach towels, beach chairs, golf clubs.... the list goes on. Thank you for making our stay so nice. We are ready to go back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Amazing location! The view was beautiful. The condo was great and the kitchen is wonderful. The family enjoyed the proximity to the great beaches and dining options. We went on the kipu ranch atv tour which was great. Great place for a family vacation!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Look no further than this beautiful condo in Poipu. It was everything and more of what we expected. Very modern and the view was incredible. Everything we needed was in the condo. A highlight of the trip was sitting on the lanai every morning with our coffee and listening to the doves while looking out at the ocean. Been to Kauai many times and this was by far the best condo we've stayed in. We will be back to enjoy what we hope will become a second home to us when we're in Kauai. Had a wonderful time at the Nihi Kai Villa condo. Enjoyed the pool, bbq but especially sitting on the lanai and looking out over the ocean each day. Shopped at a local art fair, visited Princeville and Waimea Canyon. Snorkeled at Anini Beach where we saw 2 turtles and at Poipu Beach where we saw lots of colorful fish. We also went to the Smith Family Luau and had a very good time experiencing some of the Hawaiian culture and food. The guys golfed in Lihue and at 2 courses in the Poipu area. The property we rented, unit 404, was well represented in the description and available amenities. The beach was very close, 2 restaurants were within walking distance with many others not too far away. We had great pizza in Old Koloa Town and also walked to Amici's Italian restaurant. We cooked on the grill one evening... We would definitely recommend this property to family and friends!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our stay at the Nihi Kia Villas was remarkable. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and will be returning for future vacations. The property was accurately refelected in the listing photos, very clean and well maintained. The list of nearby activities, attractions and restuarants are endless. To name a few, we enjoyed the Spouting Horn, fresh fish market in Kaloa Town, and most of all the beautiful beaches. We highly recommend this property to friends and family. The condo was immaculate and had all the comforts of home. We enjoyed several home cooked meals and wonderful oceans views from the Lanai. Our vacation was here was perfect and we appreciate the owner's making this trip a success.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We enjoyed staying at your condo! To Mary Ann and Butch, we appreciated your helpfulness, and kindness in answering all our questions. Your condo is so well equipped, clean, comfortable, and well located. This was our first time to stay at the Nihi Kai Villas, and we were pleased that we made a wonderful choice. One of our favorite places to eat was Duke's.....the salad bar is excellent! We went on a tour of Kauai with Safari Helicopters---it was so breathtaking, we purchased a DVD of our flight so we can relive that wonderful experience. My husband is a retired airline employee and we have been lucky to travel the world and I have to say that this is one of my favorite places to stay on vacation. We love that we can be out the door and within steps we are walking along the ocean and watching the sea turtles and if we are lucky we can see the magnificent whales breaching. Breathtaking!! Returning to the condo we enjoy a meal on the lanai with a spectacular view of the ocean and Poipu Beach. Cooking is a pleasure in the modern kitchen and in fact the entire condo is updated and immaculate which is important to us. If we don't feel like cooking we can walk to one of my favorite restaurants "Casa De Amici" for a truly wonderful dinner. Yes, this condo has everything we want in a vacation home. Looking forward to our next visit.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: We used to go to Oahu and Maui, until our first visit to Kauai twenty years ago. Wow! God was showing off when He made Kauai. Butch is with the Colorado Rockies, so we work around his schedule to spend time here. Go Rockies! Even if you're a fan of another team, we'll still rent your our condo! Our biggest joy is spending time with our five kids and 10 grandchildren!
Why the Owner Chose Nihi Kai Villas:
Through baseball we have traveled coast- to-coast, Europe, and the Caribbean. We found Kauai to be the most beautiful, magical place. The fragrant, gentle air is almost soft, sounds of the ocean and birds float through the condo, it is paradise. Any stress you have will squish out with every step in your flip-flops. You won't be disappointed in booking condo #404.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
A To-Do List on Kauai:
1.) Stand on the lanai and look for migrating humpback whales in the winter.
2.) Take a walk along the ocean and look for sea turtles, monk seals and the ever present chickens and roosters.
3.) Grab your beach chair and drink and walk to Brennecke's Beach, and less than 2 minutes you will be sinking your toes in the sand. (We're one of the closest condos to the beach.)
4.) Book a helicopter ride, a catamaran sunset cruise on the Na Pali Coast, or a fishing trip.
5.) Drive to Polihale Beach and stop at the Shrimp Station on the way home.
6.) Snorkel in front of the Beach House, next to Whaler's Cove, or drive to Tunnels on the other side and stop at the Tropical Taco on the way home.
7. Prepare dinner and dine on your lanai- quiet, romantic, and the price is right.
8. Dine out: Our favorites (see #7) after that: Keoki's, Duke's, Beach House, Eastside, and our neighbor Casa di Amaci.
9. Get in the water, boogie board, surf, swim, snorkel...
10. Grab your tennis racquet or paddle boards and head to the courts that are within steps of the condo.
11.) Drive out to the Kauai Coffee Co. and pick up some great coffee.
12.) Take one of the 3 sets of golf clubs provided and go hit a round. Or, take one of our boogie boards to the beach that's minutes away on foot. We also provide 8 sets of snorkeling equipment and fins in the closet by the washer and dryer! How fun is that?
