This is a nice place with plenty of room. We had three couples and 4 small kids- which is about the max for this home. The owner was very nice and accommodating. Bandon is the best. The walk to the ocean beach is about 10 minutes or so as is the walk to old town. The house worked great for us but its not for everyone.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children.

About the owner: I am an artist, educator and director of a non-profit organization, Artula Institute for Arts and Environmental Education. I also am the director of The Washed Ashore Project, a local community project and a globally touring exhibit. I have decided to offer this house as a way of bringing people to Bandon to learn more about Artula Institute and say thank you to our generous donors. When not making art, I love mushroom hunting, berry picking, tide pool watching, photography, and being on the beach even during a storm! I have a wonderful Rottweiler companion that goes everywhere with me.I love Bandon and would like you to love it here too!
Why the Owner Chose Bandon:
I fell in love with this house when I saw it.
The views and wind protected back yard are like nothing else around. My hopes are to move into town as I get older and live in this house full time.
I currently live out in the country and hike everywhere I can..This home has been used as a guest house for visiting artists and scientists and now is available for all patrons of Artula.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Leave the car in the driveway and head to the beach! After you are done with your agate hunting and seal watching, stroll on down to the boardwalk for luscious locally caught salmon! Walk a few more blocks to do the free tasting at Cranberry Sweets and Treats where you will want to take some home as well! Don't forget to also check out the world class chocolates at Coastal Mist and the local Umpqua Ice Cream served up the old fashioned way at the Big Wheel. If you are in love with delectable food, Bandon has a lot to offer... fresh Dungeness Crab caught and cooked to order right on the docks, shrimp cocktails on the boardwalk, and much more. We also have some amazing coffee shops and bakeries that can keep your tummy happy!
Alloro Wine Bar is a MUST if you love gourmet food. And Tiffany's is the best wine shop for miles around.
Nature, peace and solitude is all around.
Bandon's beaches are the best on the entire Oregon coast with sea stacks, tide pools, caves and beautiful driftwood. Our lighthouse is a wonderful sight and the sunsets just keep going and going with hues of salmon pink and bright orange.
