Located in Hawaiian Beaches (about 20 miles south of Hilo), Hale Ehu Kai is a 2-bedroom, 2-bath handicap accessible and wheelchair accessible vacation rental house on the Big Island of Hawaii in an area with magical views and other beautiful homes. Relax in the hot tub on the lanai and see whales and spinner dolphins (in season) as well as Hale Ehu Kai’s resident turtles Humphrey, Hilda, and baby Hubert. The lanai is extra wide for outdoor dining and barbecuing. The name Hale Ehu Kai (Sea Spray) is very appropriate for this home as you watch the waves splash against the rock cliffs. You’ll see unobstructed ocean views from the living and dining rooms, kitchen, and oceanfront bedroom. The living area is spacious, with beautiful floors and a tiled kitchen. Ceiling fans help keep the house cool, and the owners have thought about your comfort by providing a TV, DVD, VCR, stereo with CD and cassette, along with a collection of video and audio tapes. The home has high-speed Internet and there is a washer/dryer. The master bedroom offers a king bed, the oceanfront bedroom has a queen bed, and the living room has a double futon. There are two baths, an en suite master bath and a second bath with a Jacuzzi tub. As an extra touch, the house was built to be handicap accessible and wheelchair accessible, with a ramp to the front door, wide interior doors, and roll-in shower. There are many interesting areas nearby where you can go snorkeling, swim in a thermally heated hot pond, and see recent lava flows from the Kilauea Volcano. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is less than an hour away. For an island-wide experience, ask us about the owner’s other vacation rental home on the Kona side of the Big Island. $200-$500 deposit required to confirm, balance due 60 days prior to arrival.
