Ready for some adventure but safety is still very important! search no more the Cocolobo Lodge in Roatan got it all! a Home away from Home! a kitchen with all the gadget you need, a short walk to the best restaurant... snorkeling/ diving/walking or just relaxing with a good book...it's a prefect place for a worry free holiday! Thanks to Haidi (the manager) she was very helpful to make our holiday a great one, my only regret it's we were their only for a week...next time will book 2 weeks for sure!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

What a dream! I will definitely recommend this place to anybody who is planning a vaction. The lodge is gorgeously furnished with a fully equipped kitchen. Being able to relax on the balcony while looking at the ocean is also a bonus! The place was clean, well kept, and most importantly: safe. The property manager was very kind and helpful when it came to island resources as she herself was born and raised in Roatan. It is so easy to access all that Roatan has to offer as it is only a five minute walk away from West End where there are bars, restaraunts, dive shops and activities. The nicest part is that it is also easy to get away from it all - the actual lodge is located in a small and quiet community. Hopefully I will return to Cathy's lodge soon!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, age 55+, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

We stayed at this beautiful property for 4 nights in July and thoroughly enjoyed the home, the happy hour at the quiet Cocolobo main resort (1 minute walk) and the location. The lodge is absolutely beautiful, comfortably furnished, and has everything you need to enjoy your time in Roatan. The beds are super comfortable and the unit is meticulously maintained. It is only a short walk to the West End (3min) where you can enjoy wonderful cuisine, scuba diving, and beach. There is water access within about a 1 minute walk where the snorkeling is out of this world. We loved the quiet island so much that we can't wait to return and will definitely recommend this place to all of our friends.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, age 55+, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

About: I consider myself as a world traveller and adventurer who has discovered scuba diving with my husband on the Bay island of Roatan, Honduras in the spring of 2011. I work as a geologist in Calgary and enjoy all season outdoor activities. Our two daughters have followed into their parents footsteps by getting hooked on Central American Caribbean travelling and beachs.
