My husband and I and our two chihuahuas spent a long weekend at the Creek House. I would certainly recommend this cabin to anyone. The cabin was very clean, spacious, comfortable and quiet. We have rented many cabins and the majority of the time we go "high end", but we were just looking for a quick long weekend getaway and this cabin is a GREAT DEAL. It was a tad chilly while we were there so we did not get to enjoy the huge deck. The little dogs loved running around down to the pond and exploring the grounds (so did we). Kevin was extremely easy to deal with, especially since we rented so close to arrival time. My husband made the comment that this getaway was "effortless". There were no complicated instructions to figure out how to work the TV and the kitchen utensils were adequate for all our cooking needs. Again, if you are looking for a great deal for your money, this place is it. The Owen FamilyRecommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners.

We spend 14 beautiful days in 2 cabins that belong to the same owner. It was a big family reunion with people from Spain, Venezuela and Miami. We were so many that one of my brother had to rent a third cabin 30 minutes from where we were to accommodate my sister in law family. However, we all met at the 2 store cabin at the top of the hill on December 24 and December 31 for Christmas and New year. In total we were 26 people. The Creek house was just perfect, full equipped, you do not need to bring anything than your close. Mr. Kevin was very helpful and so kind that we can not complain in any way, whatever we needed he was right away there always with a smile. I wish to go again because everything was perfect. The view, the landscape, so many things to see in winter, even the people at the town was very nice.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My sister and my family spent Thanksgiving holiday in this house. This house is really nice and clean and worthy to pay. I read all reviews before I reserve so I worry about the beds a little bit. But They were just FINE~!!! (Except People who like the extra soft mattress) The Grill was really nice and there are enough stuffs for needs. Also the owner is very responsible. Whenever I send Email, they replied immediatly. Actually, I could stay only 2 nights even though I paid for 3 night. But still it's worthy~! Thank you so much to share your house with us.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Me and my family were looking for a short retreat away from the city (Atlanta) and found this house listed. The property owners were great and very accomidating on short notice. April was very responsive to emails and phone calls throughout the trip. They even allowed us to bring our two big dogs who had a blast running around on the 40 acres! The property was as pictured and very well maintained. We are already looking forward to going back in the Spring.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners.

This was a very roomy and clean cottage. Our family really enjoyed our stay here. The kids loved the creek around the yard and looked forward to playing in it daily. We found everything we needed easily and enjoyed the comfort of the home. We also enjoyed walking along the trails around the back of the cottage and to the pond. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay here. We plan to return in the future.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+.

Nice and quiet and a good place to take children. However the mattresses on all the beds were old and mostly felt that you were sleeping on a boxspring rather than a comfortable mattress. The two toilets had very old soft seats. They should update these not just for looks but for cleanliness. If the owners were to upgrade these items we would stay again but for now we would find another place. The people up the road who caretake the property were very nice and accommodating.Owner response: The toilette seats and mattresses are a year old along with most everything in the house. It was fully remodeled last year and newly furnished thereafter. Given your feedback, we may consider a style upgrade in the bathroom for seats that match better with marble floors and modern Italian light fixtures as pictured. Thank you, April

This little cottage is in a wonderfully peaceful location. It is surrounded by a small creek. If you want a relaxing vacation that is also convienent to town, this is the cottage for you. I especially liked the pasture view and being able to watch the cows come in twice a day. It was also wonderful to be able to walk behind the house in the woods and down to the pond. The cottage was very clean and neat with lots of comfotable furnishings. It was also wonderful to be able to use the tiki torches at night. I would hihgly recommend this cottage to anyone looking to enjoy the mountains in a private and relaxing setting.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+.

We were very pleased with the home. I was very clean & well maintained and the location was perfect for us as it was very close to where we were having our family reunion. I would just make one suggestion and that is in regards to the steps on the bridge and entrance. At night it is hard to see because of the dark color and it might be helpful if there was a strip of white or yellow coloring on the edges. We would recomment this property to anyone else and hope to be able to rent it again next year when we have our family reunionRecommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+.

My husband, two daughters, and I stayed at this charming little house for a week and loved it! This house was immaculate and had lots of ammenities, from various kitchen gadgets to super soft bath towels. We had a few minor problems when we first arrived, but the property managers dealt with them immediately. Our daughters fell in love with the swing in the woods, and I was charmed by the cows in the pasture across the street. We were in desperate need of a relaxing, quiet vacation, and this was the perfect place for us. Franklin is a delightful town, and the house was located only a short drive from its downtown. There are also lots of other great towns close by, including Sylva and Dillsboro, which were like stepping back in time 60 years. We spent a fabulous day hiking Tallulah Falls Gorge National Park in Georgia, which was a only forty minute drive. We loved Franklin and the surrounding areas so much that we are considering moving there. As far as vacations go, this was one of our favorites. It helped that our accomodations were so great. We've stayed in a lot of vacation rentals, and this one was by far the best.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3
