The home is a gorgeous custom home that is located on a secluded and wooded property with gorgeous views. The home is only 15 miles from Colorado's world-class Breckenridge ski resort. Copper Mountain, Keystone, and A-Basin are also less than 30 minutes away. Access to the main highway (Highway 9) is about 5 minutes so there are no long drives on dirt roads to get to all of the fun activities in the area. The trees surround the home and you walk on a bridge to get to it. It is truly like a dream come true 'Treehouse'.
This stunning home has a 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Upstairs, there is a large master suite with a private bath. It has a king size bed. On the main level there are two bedrooms and a bath. One bedroom has a full size bed and the other has a large full size bunk with a twin bunk on top. Downstairs there is a bedroom with a queen size bed and a bath. There is also a game room and sitting area which has a large game table and a juke box. The great room has a wood-burning stove and lots of comfortable seating. The home has lots of windows that show off the beautiful views. The property is very wooded. There are windows with gorgeous views of the white-capped mountains and surrounding woods. The kitchen is large and modern. It is fully stocked with everything you would need to prepare a gourmet meal. The dining table is roomy and comfortable and seats 6-8 people, Outside is pure heaven. There is a deck with acres of surrounding woods to explore. There is a nice gas grill to cook your favorite meal on. If you are planning a ski trip, this home is in a fabulous location. It is just 15 minutes from the Breckenridge lifts. There is a spacious garage to store you skis and boots in. The drive is only 15 minutes and it a gorgeous way to go to Breckenridge. The roads are always open and county maintained. Four wheel drive is recommended for the winter but not required. We do get frequent snow storms and sometimes it takes a couple of hours for the plows to come so it is a good idea to have four wheel drive.
If you can think of an outdoor activity, you will probably find it within 10-20 minutes of the cabin. It is a great area to call your 'Base Camp'.
This is a beautiful home to spend any season of the year. The access is easy and 4-wheel drive is not a necessity in the summer but is advised in the winter months. You can find all of these activities within minutes of the home:

My family and I absolutely loved this beautiful mountain home. The house had everything we needed. Surrounded by beautiful views never hurts either. The home is a short 15 miles to beautiful Breckenridge. Really can't beat it. Nothing but good things to say about this home. Working with Hilary was also wonderful.Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

Our family stayed here this summer and it is even more beautiful than the pictures show. Every room looks and feels like a cabin with handcrafted log beds and dressers. Lots of room for us to spread out with a huge game room for the kids, a private downstairs suite with bathroom and an upstairs master bedroom en suite with the best picture window of the trees and mountains you could wish for. The "tree house " is a perfect name as you literally walk across a wooden walkway through the trees into the house. Plenty of dishes, glasses ect in a well stocked kitchen. We loved being on the mountain with a short ride to Breck , river rafting in Buena Vista and bike riding everywhere. Highly recommended especially for a family who doesn't want to pay those main street prices.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

About the owner: Home was purchased in 2006, this home belongs to Hilary Lyon and Scott Kory who have a blended family of 5 children who are now all grown and living in various parts of the country.
Why the Owner Chose Alma:
We decided to purchase this house as it was centrally located in Colorado and within a short driving distance to most of the world famous ski resorts, fly fishing, hiking and biking that Colorado is known for. This is a surreal location surrounded by trees , wildlife , dark skies with many stars that light up the night, and privacy that allowed our family to be themselves in and around the property. We are surrounded by national forest, hiking trails and reservoir and mountains, and get sunshine almost every day to warm up the house.

Our family particularly likes snowboarding at Breckenridge's family friendly ski resort, long hikes into the national forest, watching the moose, elk and red foxes run across the snow and river rafting in the summer in Buena Vista and the Royal Gorge.
