This was an incredible house. We rented the casita as well and we had no problem comfortably fitting 8 of us for my brother's graduation. The heated pool and grill was I much fun! We would love to stay here again.

It was a great house for the sisters and mom vacation. 5 of us had plenty of room. Exactly as described in the rental information. Great proximity for walking to Old Town. Did try the St. Clair Winery for dining and a bottle of Reisling as recommended. Very good and nice atmosphere. My Mom left a pair of her favorite shoes and the owner so kindly mailed them to me. Very good service on the part of the owners. Would absolutely recommend unit to friends and family.

My family of 4 had a great time April 12-15 at this historic house. It is very spacious and clean. The location is great for walking everywhere in Old Town. We particularly liked the Art & History Museum and the Golden Crown Panaderia, where we highly recommend the green chile crust pizza! It was not clear to me that we didn't get the studio part of the house. No big deal because there was plenty of room for 2 adults a teen and a tween in the main house, but we did expect to have one more bedroom. I had one question (about recycling) while we were there and Robert texted a reply to me pretty quickly, so he is available for things like that during your stay. I would certainly recommend staying here to a family or group with up to six people. We don't have little ones, but there was equipment like bouncy seats and booster chairs handy for visitng juniors.

This house is in a great location so close to the sights you will want to visit. Kitchen is well equipped and the snacks are Appreciated. Master bed is comfortable. The kids enjoyed the upstairs. Our one issue was the heat in the house. The heat isn't consistent thru the house and is nonexistent in the master bath. The space heater put in there was not up to the task. Also we would turn the thermostat up and it was constantly turning itself back down.

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Owner response: Thank you for your excellent feedback. We are looking into a more efficient solution for the Master Bath. We were unaware of any problems with the thermostat but glad you brought our attention to it. We are always available to troubleshoot any issues with our guests if they call us; we can be there within 20 minutes as a rule.

With 13 family members and a baby trying to Yule together, we were a challenge to house over Christmas. This home fit the bill perfectly and allowed us all to come and go, feast and sleep, and enjoy our Christmas in New Mexico. The separate-yet-connected casita was a perfect addition, and the kitchen made our exceedingly delicious gourmet meals a breeze. Well, easier, anyway. The location was perfect, and we took several magical night walks to see the gorgeously lit-up Old Town area. The back yard tree house and play house were magical, and we thought it would be great to return in the summer to take advantage of the in-ground pool!

We stayed in this interesting home for one week with three couples. We rented the studio as well so each couple had lots of private space. The owner was very accommodating, making sure that everything in this older home was in working order. The best part was that we could walk easily to old town, wonderful museums and great restaurants. We especially enjoyed the church street cafe and the pizza shop on main. We drove to Acoma which was a great experience. Other high lights were a day at the Pueblo Museum and lunch at the Golden Crown Panaderia.

This home was very welcoming, warm and inviting! The owners have thought of almost everything to make you feel right at home. The kitchen was nicely supplied with basic condiments and seasoning to make cooking easier. The Keurig had a great selection of coffees, hot chocolates and teas. The balconies, exterior doors to patios and spiral stairs make it a little precarious for families like ours that include young children. The owner included a bassinet (for babies not sitting/rolling over yet), and a toddler cot (no sides, sets about 5" off ground), but neither of these were good options for our 16 month old and our 34 month old. I recommended to the owner that a Pack and Play or portable crib would be a good fit for kids who can't sleep in either the bassinet or the cot. This would be a GREAT vacation spot for a family with older kids (ones who don't want to constantly play on the spiral stairs) or for a group of adults meeting for an Albuquerque vacation. Thank you for being so patient with us and answering our emails and questions so quickly!

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Owner response: Thank you, good to get feedback from a young family. We do advise our guests about the spiral staircase and that adult supervision is needed at all times. A Pack and Play sounds like a good solution for those little ones that like to escape!!! We will see what we can do.

We rented the house and studio for a weekend reunion of 7 adults. The house was very comfortable, with easily enough space for everyone to sleep. The extra bed on the landing has less privacy than the other bedrooms, but was comfortable and fine for a weekend stay (or a good option for a child). The common areas were also great - spacious and with a very New Mexican feel - we were able to spend time relaxing at the house and used the kitchen for some light cooking too. The location was perfect too, with easy access to the highway, old town, and close to lots of great restaurants. The space was clean and ready for us on arrival - we had everything we needed and nothing to complain about! We'd definitely stay there again for a future reunion.

Four of us rented the house for a week and couldn't have found better lodging or location. The home is clean and roomy. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds very comfy and it's on a quiet street (very little traffic). Excellent restaurants and the Old Town plaza are within a short walking distance and of course the New Mexico weather is perfect this time of year. The owner is very responsive and easy to work with.

We really liked the house and enjoyed the pool, I swam every day. The bed in the studio was super comfortable with loads of pillows and it was nice a quiet back there. The main kitchen was really well equipped - maybe a big salad bowl would be nice. Also instructions for Euroupeans not familiar with the shower system in the studio (or maybe it was just me being stupid).

We stayed for three nights in this house with our children (aged 4,6,9). We thought it was very cute, great location and well equipped. There was lots of space, the kitchen was great and we loved the Southwest feel. There were a number of things we didn't expect like liquid soap in the shower that made it much easier to arrive. The staircase is as advertised. If my kids were any younger I would have found it extremely stressful to have had them going up and down because of the rope railings which have large gaps in between. The only downside was that the curtains in the upstairs bedroom were quite thin so it was hard to get those rooms dark and the kids woke up pretty early. It's a very lovely house - Thanks!

A group of friends opted to stay in this beautiful casita as opposed to getting several hotel rooms. We rented the house and the studio for the weekend. The Mtn. Road house is a great way to get in the spirit of old time New Mexico and its rich history. It is a short walk to Old Town in a safe and friendly neighborhood. We went to a fantastic wedding in the Plaza under the big shade trees and I felt like was in a Spanish fort in Mexico. If you're chilling at the house the pool is great for a soak and the kitchen makes the stay very comfortable and fun to prepare your own meals. The owner was very friendly and helpful and there was good communication throughout the reservation process to the check-out. All of us were happy and would stay here again.

There was a party of 7 of us and a small dog, ages 10 to 78 and we all really enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room when we needed it and room to get together too. The pool was great! My kids where able to swim when we were done with the day so there was something there for them too. This house was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The girls enjoyed the fact that the house is only a block from Old Town, so we where able to get shopping in whenever we wanted. The next time we are in Albuquerque I will make sure and see if the house is available!

Our party included 8 adults and one toddler, so we rented both the house and the studio. It was perfect for us. The location, only a block or so from Old Town, was quite convenient. The house was clean, well-maintained, spacious, airy, and comfortable. The pool right outside was definitely a plus. We cooked most of our meals, but we did try a couple of restaurants recommended by the owners and they were quite good. The owners were very helpful and very active in seeking ways to improve the house. (Some of the suggestions that we made had already been addressed.) I would definitely stay here again and would recommend the house without hesitation to a friend or relative. It is a perfect place to stay in Albuquerque - close to major attractions, yet feeling quiet and secluded.

We rented both the main hose and studio. I feel the price was very reasonable. We stayed in this rental with young children and 4 adults. There was plenty of room and amenities to cook and entertain. The pool is just behind this property, and it was great to cool off in it after a day of sight seeing. We were able to walk to Old Town, museums, the park, and the zoo, Botanicle Gardens, and Bosque were a few blocks away. Downtown and Knob hill were a 5 minute drive. We could see the Sandia mountains from the back balcony. There is also a treehouse and adobe playhouse near the pool that our kids enjoyed.

My husband and I stayed for two nights in the studio unit and it was perfect for us. It offered much more than a standard studio. There was a separate living area as well as a kitchenette, which was so convenient. The water pressure in the shower was great and the bed was very comfortable. Although we did not use the patio/swimming pool area, it looked very inviting. The location of the home offered privacy, but was close to many attractions such as old town, the zoo and aquarium. I would recommend this home to anyone. It was authentic to the architectural style of the area and we truly enjoyed our stay there.

Great stay at a comfortable, convenient location. I was in town with a co-worker for a week-long meeting at the Hotel Albuquerque Old Town and the house couldn't have been more convenient. Though only 2 of us were in the house, there's plenty of room for a group. Great kitchen, comfy living room and restful beds. Fit the bill perfectly! Old Town is a stone's throw away with downtown and other sights just a walk or cab ride away. If you arrive without a car as we did, hop the bus on Rio Grande going north to stock up at La Montanita Food Co-op just to the north for a great selection of produce, local cheese and awesome NM lamb. Thanks to Robert & co. for making it easy and enjoyable.

We rented both the casita and studio for 5 people so we had room to spread out. It was fabulous! We could walk to virtually everything - museums, old town, aquarium, zoo, gardens, restaurants, Starbucks, etc. Beds were comfortable and it was quiet at night. Street noise was not an issue. Kitchen was nicely stocked and towels were nicer than mine at home! Love the Keurig coffee - nice touch. Wish there had been a TV in the "master" bedroom, a shade on the skylight there and that the inside laundry facilities had been working (there were communal ones, but not as convenient) , but other than that, we had a great time and would rent this property again.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Owner response: Thank you for your review, it was very helpful. We love to get feedback that helps us. The inside laundry in the studio is not one of our advertised features as it is not in working order and will soon be removed, however the communal laundry has two washing machines at 50 cents a wash and a huge drier which can dry two loads for a dollar.

The house was very pretty, lots of skylights and vaulted ceilings. The kitchen was modern and had all the amenities you could want including a good supply of keurig coffee. One note, we had the main house only, which has two bedrooms and two baths. There is a trundle bed upstairs in a separate room. So the main house sleeps a maximum of 6 in three rooms. The owner was very accommodating and helpful. It was easy walking distance to old town and very near the museums, downtown and the highway. I would recommend to others without hesitation.

Several family members gathered for this year's NCAA basketball games at UNM. The men attended while the ladies did other things. The rental was our highpoint of the visit. Clean, well furnished, and in a very central location for Old Town easy walking to/from various sites. To early in the season for use of pool, of course, but everything within the rental worked as advertized and our stay was very enjoyable. Loved the place enough that all of us would stay there again on next visit if the property was available and we will recommend it to friends and other family members. The house was really nice. The only problem we had is the house is actually 2 bedrooms and a loft. Which would have been fine if we had kids with us. We had 3 couples and thought we would have 3 rooms with doors for privacy. We made it work by hanging table clothes that we purchased from the beam that ran across the top of the room. We had a wonderful time anyway. I would stay again when the weather is warmer to make use of the pool and patio area.

It was a very comfortable venue for both situations and the location and ambiance was perfect. The kitchens were well stocked with appliances and cooking dishes and utensils The sleeping accommodations are better suited to just five adults in the main house and two in the studio but we made it work. We would definitely rent this again should we meet in Albuquerque!

We came from Northern Europe and Southern Florida to spend Christmas together. The house was perfect for the occasion: warm, cozy, quiet, spacious and perfectly located- within easy walking distance of Old Town. A lot of time was spent on the sofa in front of the fireplace. For a one-day excursion, we took the train to Santa Fe - a relaxing, interesting trip. Since we are serious tea and coffee drinkers, we enjoyed having an excellent teashop and a very good coffee shop right on Mountain Ave. We also had excellent New Mexican food in Old Town. Both kids and adults enjoyed the local science museums. The property is highly recommended!

We spent Christmas 2011 here and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The house is SO soundproof, you don't hear anything or anyone outside! The fireplace in the central room/ living room really made it very cozy and warm. There are plenty of rooms to spread out in, and each is very private and comfortable. The kitchen, too, was great to work with. Very conveniently located, walking distance to Old Town, and everything you need (try Church Street, the restaurant!),plus a lot of the museums. My family was in Albuquerque for Christmas and rented this beautiful property. We felt so at home, comfortable and festive in the house. We had many long evenings filled with good meals around the big dining table, and time hanging out in front of the fireplace. Being so close to Old Town allowed us to walk to museums, restaurants/cafes and on Christmas eve, the Luminaria tour. The furnishings and dishes are tasteful and the owners are friendly, attentive and quick to respond to questions. This is a jewel of a rental, and we look forward to coming back!

We stayed in the studio for 3 days and loved being able to walk to old town to eat and shop. The studio is charming and quaint for a romantic get away. The restaurants were terrific that Robert suggested, especially Church Cafe. It sure beats staying in a motel and having to drive and find parking places. The space is great for two people and the amentities were greatly appreciated.

An ideal 3 bedroom house. The pictures listed gave a true sense of this homes' style It was spacious, well lit, (sky lights) and had all the necessary amenities to make our short stay enjoyable. The best part is its location, a quiet neighborhood and Walking distance to old town Albuquerque. We would highly consider revisiting this home. The attached studio was not available but we got a chance to view it. It is a quaint addition to this vacation home and very doable for a couple. Anyone who considers renting this property will not be disappointed.

My girlfriends and I loved our stay at this charming house, a five minute walk from Old Town. It was like staying in an old hacienda but with all the modern conveniences. The excellent location, a few blocks off I-40 and about a mile from its intersection with I-25, made getting to every destination we chose very easy. A lovely pool on the property but a little too cool for us to make use of it. Charming decor, great amenities, and very helpful owners. The restaurants they recommended, all within walking distance, were excellent. There were no negatives as far as we were concerned. Highly recommended!
