  I would agree with others that said this place was even nicer than the pictures even though the pictures were very nice. This was my first trip to Amelia Island and hopefully will not be my last. I absolutely loved it. It was just my mother and I. The weather was colder than we expected (and wanted) but still very nice. We saw dolphins and I think a manatee although others said it was a whale:) Excellent place for running and bike riding which it did. We visited Fort Clinch and T-Rays. T-Rays is a must for cinnamon rolls (i heard burgers were great but we didn't make it to lunch). Also Barbara Jeans has great southern cooking. I highly recommend it. Beautiful full moon every night that we could see from the balcony. The place is very clean and I would love to stay there again:) Tim was very easy to work with and very timely in his response to my questions. Could not have asked for more. Go Vols <--- For you Tim:)

  It was with heavy heart that we departed from this condo this morning. Everything was impeccable in the unit. We felt at home immediately, and Tim was responsive to anything we needed. Whether walking on the beach or on the streets, we enjoyed it, and people were friendly. If only we had come when the weather was a little warmer..We had sunshine on the balcony from mid-morning to mid-afternoon and we could watch the ocean from every window in the condo. We especially enjoyed having the sliders open all night and hearing the ocean sounds. We do know that this is an area to which we would like to return.

  Pros: Great location - very close to downtown and several state parks. Secure - Pass code required for entry to the building as well as a key to get to and from the beach. Clean - the condo as well as property were very clean. In the winter you can see the sunrise and sunset from the balcony. The large shower in the second bath is nice. Cons: NOT OCEAN FRONT! The windows of this condo face an empty lot, not the ocean. Not a two bedroom. It is not advertised as such, but the pictures make it appear to be one. There is almost no privacy in this bedroom. No shower in the master bath. Dishwasher stinks...a lot. Couldn't change the temp on the thermostat. We were hot at night. Pets not allowed. My dog makes less of a mess and is better behaved than most children I know. When are people going to get with the times and allow pets without penalty? I would rate my overall experience at the property as a 3.5, not a 3, but VRBO does not allow half stars. That being said, I would still recommend this place to anyone going to the Amelia Island area. The owners were great to work with. My husband and I were looking for a quiet getaway and that is what we got. I hope this review is helpful. I tried to be fair and honest. If we had known the condo was not ocean front, we would have stayed somewhere else. I feel that we were mislead on that. If being ocean front is not a big deal to you then this is the place to stay.

  Owner response: Leslie, thanks for the review and the heads up on the dishwasher. The dishwasher has been repaired, there was something stuck in the screen that was causing the odor. Our building is Ocean Front, our unit is on the Southeast corner of the building facing south down the beach. There is a great view of the ocean and beach out of every window in the unit. Our listing says clearly "open second bedroom", meaning not totally private. We love pets too, but our building has a "no pets" and "no smoking" policy that is clearly stated upfront on the listing and also on the rental agreement. Our first rating below a "5" in over a year.

  The condo was neat and clean and perfect for 2. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking at the ocean and reading our books. We walked the beach every day and an added bonus was the restaurant located next door which was great for burgers and drinks. They even had tables on the sand. The location was about 5 minutes to the beautiful little town for shopping and great restaurants.

  Just what we needed. Even with the winds of Hurricane Sandy blowing on the beach, we really enjoyed the stay. Especially liked the location and the ease of getting in and out. Thanks so much for the hospitality.

  This was the first Vrbo where the actual condo was better than the pictures although the pictures were great. This is a place where one can escape responsibilities for a while. We were so lucky to find your home. How generous you are to share this wonderful spot of joy. This was a last minute getaway but Tim was the most accommodating host on the phone and online. There could be so much more to write, but I do not want to detract from the experience as I sit on the balcony and the morning sun shimmers on the sea. Must get down to the beach. Cheers. G&G Black

  We thoroughly enjoyed our first trip to Amelia Island. Our group consisted of 4 adults and the condo was perfect - plenty of space, very comfortable and exceptionally clean. It was exactly as described and the owner was extremely helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. The location was great as well - right on the ocean and convenient to everything. We would definitely recommend this condo and hope to return again.

  Although short, this trip to Amelia Island was everything we hoped it would be. The condo was exceptionally clean, exactly as described, and very convenient to everything. The beach was beautiful. The owner was very helpful and responded quickly to any question we had. We would definitely recommend this property.

  We had a wonderful vacation! The condo is in a perfect location. It had everything we needed, plus more! I was so impressed with the entire facility. This is no doubt the cleanest and best decorated condo I have stayed in at Fernandina Beach. I can't believe all that it offered for the money. Beautiful views of the ocean, lots of windows, beds were superb, and close to everything. We will definitely stay here again. Just for info.....we didn't use the pool, but if you are a big pool person, you might be disappointed. Very small and not much sitting area, but that was not an issue for us at all since our goal was to spend all of our time on the beach! Beautiful place! Highly recommended!
