  My husband and I just returned from our stay at Sandy's Place. We found it to be everything just like it was described to us and better. Every room was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Sitting on the deck in the quiet, cool mornings, drinking our coffee and enjoying the deer and turkey that came to visit made such a nice break from our hot, dry Texas weather. We will definitely stay here again when we get to return to Ruidoso.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway.

  Sandy's Place was just what we needed! It was clean, comfortable, and just as advertised. The owners were great to work with and answered all my questions via email before we went. The deck was comfortable with a beautiful view and a great way to enjoy the amazing weather! Then entire cabin was very clean. The hot water heater must be huge because there was always enough hot water for our family of four to shower, do dishes, cook, or whatever we needed. The owner provided great directions to get to the cabin. I would highly recommend this cabin and these owners to anyone!

  My husband and I booked this cabin last minute for the Memorial Day weekend. It was just as the pictures represented. No frills just a clean cabin with a great view thanks to the extended porch on the front. The neighborhood was quiet and removed from the bussle of the town although in just a few minutes you could be eating, shopping, or wagering at your favorite venue. The owners were very helpful with detailed driving instructions. It is a great break from our Texas heat.

  Thanks to "Sandy's Place" and it's friendly owners, my husband and I were able to experience one of our best vacations! Our needs were not only met, they were exceeded!!!! "Sandy's Place" cottage is very reasonable, well-appointed, attractive, comfortable, quiet, cozy and offers the best view...a spectacular view of the forest and mountains...including the peak of Ski Apache!! The view is enhanced by the most refreshing breeze and the dearest deer!!! From the porch, you're enjoying the amazing view and the sound of the wind through the pines when suddenly, you realize you have visitors...beautiful, graceful deer visitors! I believe they enjoy being around "Sandy's Place" as much as we did!! I know this review includes a great deal of superlatives, but they're warranted! Before departing the cabin, we agreed on two things...we do not want to leave and we will return to "Sandy's Place" as soon as possible!!!!

  We truly enjoyed our stay at this rustic cabin in Ruidoso. Although there are a lot of vacation homes in the area, it still retains the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of the mountains. There was just enough snow left for the kids to play in and we hiked and saw more deer than I've ever seen from so close. It is very convenient to town and restaurants, so if you aren't into the "cook your own meals while on vacation", you can still find numerous places to dine without driving a long ways. Cabin was clean, sufficiently stocked with cookware, dishes, etc. and we loved the wood heater for the extra warmth and charm. We'd highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, yet not have to drive a long ways to find it. Ski Apache is a reasonable distance away (about 15 miles), so you can stay and still ski too. We may be back another time. Thanks for everything. The Brinsons

  My family and I couldn't ask for anything more. The notion that going on vacation to recharge and spend some quality time with family, sometimes gets lost in the mix of multitude of activities, when going on vacation. We got the best of both worlds ! The cabin is set in a tranquil location, where you can enjoy mother nature at its best. If you like, smelling the scent of wild crisp mountain air, go for a hike, cup of joe/hot chocolate, or simply enjoying some talk time with family with a bottle of wine, This is the cabin for you. Not only was the amenities as advertised, but the close proximity to town, shopping, ski resorts, tubing park was all within striking distance from the place. The best part of it, is when you are in the cabin, it seems like civilization is miles away. Never had to contact the owner, when I was there, which is a great sign, no questions from the get go, and all the information, was provided all within promised time frame. A great value all around.

  We were a party of four and our puppy over the labor day week end 2011. The cabin was very cozy, had everything you needed to have a restful long week end. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy place to stay. Property owners are awesome, make you feel you are part of their family.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, pet owners, sightseeing.
