  Sunriver is a beautiful family friendly resort! Sarazen Lodge is very comfortable and tastefully appointed. The four-split-level home is actually larger than it appears in the photo, and was clean and well maintained. Although there are many different activities available, we took advantage of the 30 miles of bike paths (with the bikes in the garage). The ride to Benham Falls was challenging, but well worth it! Our meals at the village restaurants were tasty and well priced, and we also appreciated the well-stocked grocery store. The High Desert Museum, just a 10 minute drive, with their special Raptor show, is a must! We would definitely reccomend this property to friends & relatives--great for a large group!

  We have enjoyed the Sarazen home and the "Seven Doors Down" home on several occasions! The layout of this property is so great whether you are a family of four or fourteen! Everything from the huge deck for entertaining, the hot tub, pool table and overall, just the large space to spread out. The homes were always ready for us and the decor is so warm and welcoming. We always hate it when our time comes to an end, because it truley feels like home. We have had nothing but great experiences at both properties. The owner was always on top of getting us everything we needed and was available for any questions, if necessary. I have told everyone I come across that wants a quality stay in Sunriver to stay HERE! Thank you for a fun time at your home(s) in sunriver and we look forward to another great time there this summer!

  We had SUCH AN INCREDIBLE TIME in Sunriver! I'm serious Mel...I can't Thank You enough!! Such an awesome place!!! We LOVED everything about it! We rode bikes so much...and swam and canoe'd and BBQ'd and just had so much fun!!

  Dear Leonard & Melanie, I wanted to express my appreciation for letting us stay at your beautiful home in Sunriver. The location is just wonderful for us with small children--just a jaunt to the North Pool. Everyone was quite comfortable with the bedroom layouts and bathrooms! The kitchen was so well equipt it was a pleasure to cook in. The best was the main floor and how the wrap around deck is incorporated! The family could be all together cooking, reading, enjoying the sun all at the same time. And when we were not doing that, we were enjoying your plentiful cruiser bikes!   We were blessed to have spent 4 nights at this lovely high desert home. WOW, what a property! Lots of room for all of us, yet our bedroom was quiet enough that we didn't hear all the activity going on on the main floor or the other bedrooms. That, in itself, sets this home apart from others where we've vacationed. Everything you'd want is there from the fluffy towels in the bathroom to the hot tub on the deck to the bikes for all of us on site... and everything in between. We couldn't have been more comfortable! The house was clean, warm and inviting. The pictures on your website didn't do it justice. Will definitely be staying here again... and bringing other family with us! Four generations of us next time :-) So close to Mt. Bachelor, hiking biking and golf. Something for all of us! Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

  I felt compelled to provide this review for future travelers to this home. We have stayed at several homes in Sunriver through the years, and this was by far the worst experience. Our party consisted of 4 families (grandparents, three couples and seven kids total). First, this home's "5th bedroom" is a room off one of the master bedrooms with a pocket sliding door between the two. This combined with big skylights/windows (and no covers) did not make it a reasonable space for kids to sleep (or anyone for that matter - it is billed as a kid's room). Next, if you are staying in one of the two rooms on the bottom floor, you will hear extremely loud creaking from normal walking on the main living area directly above (living/kitchen). There were several incidental issues: broken (and beeping) smoke alarm, mold/dirt in second garage refrigerator (we did not use), garbage disposal was cracked (right side of sink was completely unusable), upstairs bathroom had plumbing issue (overflowing toilet, slow-draining tub), TV in upstairs room was broken and unusable, and a few key items in the kitchen were unusable (broken blender, both can openers were very rusty). Worst of all, when we politely alerted the owner to the incidentals above after our return home (did not even mention the bigger issues initially), there was no apology, and we were promptly assessed several "fines" that came out of our deposit (to fix the smoke alarm that was somehow determined to be our fault and to get rid of "stains" on the carpet - we never wore our shoes on the carpet as requested, but we did eat at the big dining room table that sits on top of light-colored, apparently-non-stain-resistant carpet). And then there's the pool table. Because of the poor bedroom configuration, we slid the pool table over 4 feet to make room for someone to sleep (since we were stuck there for four nights, and feeling the house had not been represented accurately, we had to get creative). Unbeknownst to us, this caused it to become un-level when we moved it back to the starting location (for which we feel badly of course, and would not have done it had we been warned in the owner's home documentation). And it was (again mysteriously) determined that we somehow damaged the slate in the moving process (as it was neve actually used being pushed up against the wall). More "fines" and therefore no more deposit. Bottom line: there are a lot of options in Sunriver for this type of house. Choose wisely.

  Owner response: I am in the business of making beautiful memories for my clients. . .providing a clean, comfortable, safe, relaxing venue in which to experience those memories is my top priority. I am available 24/7 for all of my renters. I have a crew in Sunriver that is available for you! Call me! Let me know if there is something wrong! I will do whatever I can to help. This renter neglected to communicate ANY displeasure with my property. . .on the contrary,- he raved about his experience until I informed the group that they would not receive their deposit back because of the amount of damage to my house that was caused during their stay. This renter damaged a smoke alarm by trying to remove it from its hard-wired position in the wall when all it needed was a new battery. Our electrician had to replace the unit with a new one. A simple phone call to me would have prevented this situation. our handyman could have been at the house in minutes. The more serious damage resulted when the group picked up and moved our slate-topped pool table across the game room. The pool table was left seriously out of level, resulting in our pool table tech having to dismantle and relevel the table. The renter also left two wine stains in the carpeting which had just been installed and attempted to conceal the damage. I had inspected the house only two days prior to this guest's stay and the house was perfect. We have made our home available to guests for over 10 years and this is our first experience with a negative review. We are continuously upgrading our premises and furnishings and have great relationships with our guests with this one irresponsible and inconsiderate exception.
