Wake to the call of the loons on this pristine lake. Our family started spending summers on Ell Point in 1955. We all loved it so much that our parents bought lakefront property and had a cottage built in 1958. The fishing is great, the scenery beautiful and the nearest lobster pound is only a few miles awaywarm sunny days. The weather in Down East Maine, is ever changing, personally, I think September is the best, warm sunny days and high cuddle factor nights.
The cottage has a large living/dining room with three bedrooms off of it with one queen and two double beds along with a pullout sofa, it sleeps eight comfortably. The bathroom is off of the fully equiped kitchen. There is a canoe and a kayak which can be launched right off the float at the end of the private dock. We have made a conscious decision to not have wifi or cable TV. It's always been a place to get away from the ratrace of our everyday lives, to read, play games and talk to each other. Our cottage is not fancy, but we think it's perfect and hope others will too.
