This two-story prow-front chalet is just a short walk from the beach and marina. It is rustic and homey, but features every contemporary convenience you will need. Ideal for one and two family vacations, small reunions, retreats, or business/vacation getaways. Here, the pace slows, but the heart comes alive.
Big Bass Lake is a secure, upscale, private community in quaint, historic Gouldsboro, built around three pristine lakes popular for swimming, fishing, and boating (no gas motors). It features two beaches, indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, courts for tennis, basketball, horseshoes, shuffleboard, and bocce, a recreation center with activities for all ages, a slope for beginning skiing and snow tubing, and much more... all on site. Deer, wild turkey, birds, and waterfowl abound. And, within a 30-minute drive you will find the prime attractions of the scenic Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania's vacation paradise.
BIG BASS LAKE IS A 4-SEASON VACATION COMMUNITY. In the fall, visitors enjoy spectacular fall foliage(usually best Sept. 20-Oct. 20), hiking and biking, fishing, hunting, and excursions to local attractions. This is probably the best season to enjoy tens of thousands of acres of state parks and gamelands accessible within less than 10 miles of Big Bass Lake. Winter enthusiasts find this a prime area for skiing, snow-boarding, tubing, cross country skiing, ice-fishing, and hunting; there's usually lots of snow. Spring is for those who like surprises, as it can seem like winter one day, sunny and warm the next. And summer is delightful: warm days for water sports and other outdoor activities, cool nights for refreshing sleep. OWNERS HAVE 2 ROWBOATS AVAILABLE ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not normally allow pets, and we do not permit smoking inside our properties. Also note that 12 is the limit permitted for this property. Rentors must be at least 21 years old.
Weekend rentals run from Friday to Sunday (2 nights), often with flexible check-in and check-out times. ADD 15% TO POSTED RATES FOR RENTALS INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING HOLIDAYS OR HOLIDAY WEEKENDS: NEW YEAR'S, PRESIDENTS' DAY, MEMORIAL DAY, THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS WEEKENDS. Additional days can be negotiated when available! Midweek rentals are often available; call and ask.
