This home has been recently renovated and includes lovely views of the beach and bird watching. This is a split duplex with a permanent resident on the other side. The master bedroom contains a queen sized bed and is perfect for a couple. The other large bedroom contains 2 beds and a futon. The view is great and the sounds of the ocean can put me to sleep no matter how stressed I am. The living room includes plenty of seating with a brand new flat screen TV (not pictured). Also, the home comes with WIFI but no phone. All appliances are new and the range and oven are gas. New and comfortable restroom includes a tub. The yard has been raised and offers views of the beach while the lower side of the yard includes a picnic table, propane grill and outdoor shower.
The home is located in a beautiful neighborhood with great year round neighbors as well as other guests. The home will include 2 parking spots and access to a private beach, great public beaches, as well as a secluded beach that offers trail hiking and wonderful beach running/walking. Such a great area for running and walking. I personally love a walk through the village or around Lake Elizabeth.
There is so much to do in this part of the cape. Plus, it is in a convenient central location so you can get anywhere on the cape in under an hour. Ferries leave regularly for Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. The ferries are so close you don't even have to pay for parking. The new train line goes to Boston. Speaking of trains you should visit the Murder Mystery Dinner Train for some fun and mystery.
This is a pet friendly home that will be great for a family or some friends.

So much is close by it's hard to list it all. Here are some of my favorites.
Main St Hyannis, great shops and restaurants There is also an arcade and carousel 3.5 mi
Puff The Magic Cigar Lounge 3 mi. Say hi to Dave for me!
Cape Cod Beer 4.2 mi. The local beer is great! Tours and tasting. Beer events regularly.
Cape Cod Potato Chip Factory 5.3 mi. Best chips ever! Even better when you get to take some home from this family fun tour.
Cape Cod Winery, it's about 20 minutes away but worth a visit.
Four Seas (1 mi) World famous ice cream (and a nice sandwich for lunch) This ice cream shop has been here since 1934. Images of President Kennedy sitting outside with a cone has become of American iconography and my wife won't leave the cape unless she has had her cantaloupe ice cream.
Great Kite flying right across the street.
Provincetown is an hour away and totally worth the day trip!
The Melody Tent 2.5 mi has weekly headliner performances! 2014 will bring ABBA, Martina McBride, The Fab Four, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Scotty McCreery, The Temptations and The Four Tops, Trace Adkins, and Little Big Town as well as several live theater acts.
If you like music you'll also love Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra.
I have been to sushi restaurants across the country, including Boston, yet the best I have had by far is Misaki Sushi less than 2 mi away and I have to visit each time I go to the Cape. Make a reservation for the full course chefs dinner. You will be served amazing foods that are not even on the menu. Their selection of Japanese whiskey and sake are unbeatable!
Hyannis has two ferries, you can take a trip to Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard and have a vacation within a vacation!
Or take a trip deep sea fishing or world class whale watching.
If it rains there's still great things to do. We have a great movie theater and decent shopping mall with a Barnes & Noble. (3.5mi)
Even the choice for breakfast has many options, Persy's Place (3.6mi) and The Daily Paper (1.7mi). There's even an IHOP and Panera's a bit further away.
Want something a bit more mature? There are 2 nude beaches on the lower end of the cape. If that's your thing a day trip to Truro and Provincetown can get you all the sunburn on those sensitive areas that you can handle. The restaurants and shopping there are great. Not to mention the museums and people watching.
The cape has dozens of wonderful towns and villages for day trips, one of my favorites are Woods Hole, with great museums, an aquarium, boating expeditions to see the local sealife. Woods Hole is also the home to the now famous Woods Hole Film Festival July 26-August 2. Woods Hole is about 40 mi away.
The list just keeps going on and on. I have been coming here for 15 years and I still haven't seen all the good stuff.
Did I mention the golf? There are several great courses for all levels of experience. You may even end up rubbing elbows with a Kennedy. Oh the celebrities you may see. Try getting a picture of Taylor Swift for me!
I could go on and on. A good day for me would be going to Persy's Place with the family for breakfast, then spend the day playing golf or hitting great shops on Main st. Then in the evening meeting back up on Main st to see some street entertainment and blow off some steam at Puff The Magic or grab an ice cream.
I can't imagine a better place to spend a day, a week, or a month. Hope to see you there.
About the owner: Elisabeth and Steven have been married since 2008 and live in Central Massachusetts. Elisabeth has earned her B.Bus and M.Ed and currently works in a laboratory in Boston. She is a certified scuba diver and an avid skier. While in the Cape it's nearly impossible to get her out of the water!
Steven is the opposite. He would rather curl up with a book or his laptop. He is a videographer and web technologist who up until recently worked in Boston. While at the Cape it's nearly impossible to get him out of Puff The Magic Cigar Lounge.
Why the Owner Chose Centerville: This property has been in Elisabeth's family since she was about 5. I met her when we were both young and I would vacation with her here under the ever watchful gaze of her father. Even with the fear of death always lingering I slept like a baby to the sounds of the ocean and the comfort of being with the woman I will love forever. Recently it was decided to renovate the home. It was bittersweet as it was the place I spent the most time with Elisabeth during our youth. Change is always difficult but I will always have the memories of the quaint little beach house where I convinced Elisabeth to marry me.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage: This home is in a very central location in Cape Cod. There is so much to do that you might spend years trying to do it all like I have. With the beaches, the book and antique stores, the museums and amazing restaurants, the boat access and the horseback riding, there is something here for everyone.
