There were 4 of us and we all had a wonderful time. A great location, well decorated and appointed condo. The owner was easy to work with and addressed all of our concerns. Very reputable and honest owner!!! Would rent from again!!

Southwest Girls Trip

Guest: Anna (Lexington, Kentucky)
Date of Stay: 07/10/10 Review Submitted: 07/22/10

We had an awesome time staying in this condo. The location is ideal for visiting Santa Fe, far enough away to enjoy wonderful peace and quiet and privacy and only 15 minutes away from most Sante Fe city attractions. As we traveled through the crowded areas of the city and looked at some of the properties we were considering, we were so pleased we chose this one. There was plenty of space for all of us and two patios, so everyone room to spread out. It was exceptionally clean and included many items we didn't expect like soap, shampoo, laundry and dish detergent and all the paper products. There was coffee in the freezer and sugar and cream in the pantry. It was even equipped with flash lights and a first aid kit. The beds were very comfortable with nice, fresh linens. The property manager was so kind to let us print our out return trip boarding passes in her office, that saved us so much time and worry. The pool was wonderful, so clean and we usually had it all to ourselves. We enjoyed hiking up in the hills to watch the sunsets and star gazing on the patio at night. I highly recommend this property. It is so much better than a hotel, an exceptional value considering the size and the location. The homeowners are wonderful to work with, very helpful with information on enjoying Sante Fe. We loved all the wonderful art in the condo and seemed to find something new to admire everyday. Some of our activities included the Sante Fe cooking school restaurant walking tour which we enjoyed very much. We drove to Abiquiu to tour Georgia O'Keefe's home and studio and had a picnic lunch at Lake Abiquiu. We went to a performance of the Santa Fe Desert Chorale in St. Francis Cathedral, make sure to see one of their shows if you can, it was wonderful, especially in the beautiful cathedral. We saw the Juan Siddi Flamenco show which had great dancers, but awful singers. And of course we shopped and shopped. We also went to the Tesuque Flea market and found lots of beads. We ate twice at El Nido in Tesuque - great mojitos and raspberry pie! We also enjoyed tapas at El Meson on Washington Ave. We got most of our provisions at Whole Foods and Trader Joes - Trader Joes had better prices, but whole food had great prepared meals. We had a wonderful time, but wished we could have stayed longer as there were so many other things we would have liked to do. We'll be back. Don't miss this property!

Aaaaaah...this is the right place

A perfect getaway for a long overdue vacation for our family of five. Everything we needed was there. It is a very 'homey' home away from home - clean, quiet and well-appointed indoors; beautiful, peaceful and breathtaking outdoors; conveniently close and at the same time relaxingly removed from town. Oh my, I could go on and on. We will have to return to Santa Fe and when we do we will work around any previous bookings to get to stay here again. Thank you Laura and Carla.

Perfect retreat!

Guest: Skiing sailor (Illinois)

My husband, son and I stayed here over the Christmas holidays, and it couldn't have been more wonderful. EXACTLY as pictured: lovely, clean, welcoming, tucked away in the quiet, secluded hillside. A real family home, the condo is better than any "managed" property or hotel you could ever find! We'd go out exploring or skiing (everything is nearby) and then come home to a roaring fire and everything we needed. Thanks to Carla and Laura for opening up their family home.

We came all the way from Australia and there was just the very best waiting for us. What an amazing piece of New MEXICO. So peaceful and quiet yet close to every thing we would ever need. Highly recommended but try and stay longer than the 3 nights we booked. There is so much to see and do. An amazing part of America. Thank you for sharing this piece of paradise.

Just a wonderful place!

Zuni is so beautiful and welcoming. We had a great time. Very close to just about everything. So peaceful and quiet. Wonderful for nature lovers and hikers. My one tip is go to town to shop for groceries. Don't miss the Foundry down the road, very interesting and I bought a glass piece right next door at the Glass Works after we watched a similar one being made. Very beautiful and ever changing scenery. We are from Oregon and we have some pretty nice scenery here, so it takes something special to impress us. Laura was wonderful and very helpful.

Boutique feeling in the midst of rolling desert

Guest: ms mrj (Minneapolis MN)
Date of Stay: 10/17/08 Review Submitted: 04/20/09

With a group of five great gal pals, I went to Santa Fe and stayed at Zuni. Upon arrival, I knew we had chosen the perfect place to stay. I enjoy boutique lodges, with plush accommodations and positioned in areas where I can set out on foot, yet be away from the crowd. Zuni fit the bill perfectly--all with a flavor unique to the southwest. Outdoors, the desert hills surrounded us as we sat on the patio embraced in tranquility, took short hikes to view sunrise/sunsets, took long nature walks, or strolled to a nearby spa/restaurant. Indoors, we couldn't have been more comfortable, from luxury bedding in both bedrooms, to a well-equipped kitchen where we cooked our meals (with Trader Joe's provisions, of course), to a cozy living/family room that invited us to sit and chat all night. I would definitely stay at Zuni again--with my family, my husband, friends--you name it.

Zuni is a Santa Fe Gem

Guest: Jewelry Lover (St. Louis, MO)
Date of Stay: 08/28/08 Review Submitted: 02/13/09

We have had two "girlfriend getaways" at Zuni -- and hope to have many more. The southwestern condo is like a home away from home -- and we could not have felt more welcome. It is beautifully decorated with just the right amount of Santa Fe flavor. It is conveniently located with many things to see and do. The Santa Fe flea market is the ultimate shoppers paradise -- and I have the coolest silver charm bracelet to prove it. Hiking, shopping, white water rafting, swimming and just relaxing -- that's what you'll find at Zuni. It is clean, well-care for and definitely loved by its owners. They could not have been more helpful, friendly and easy to work with. If you choose to stay here -- you will not be disappointed.

Zuni is Great!

We had a wonderful time staying at Zuni! It was the perfect size (2adults, 3kids), tastefully decorated, and warm and cozy. The location was great, too, not in town but not far away. The view was fabulous! We also enjoyed the Tesuque Village Market, just down the road. They served a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. I hope we can visit again someday and bring some family members and friends, because pictures just don't do credit.
