Come stay in your own private floor of our brand new high-end log cabin home. The lower level is all yours, with a huge walk-out deck, 9' ceilings, a huge bedroom and bathroom, and brand new furniture, appliances and electronics.
You'll have the property all to yourself (we will only rent when we're not there to bother you!). Enjoy the upper deck of the home as well as the lower deck. Bring your computer for free wifi. Enjoy your own private theater with surround sound and an Apple TV loaded with tons of the latest movies!
You can...
-- Go mountain biking at Tsali (15 minutes away)
-- Rafting the Nantahala or Tuckaseegee Rivers (15 minutes away)
-- Explore the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (tubing at Deep Creek is only 15 minutes away, Clingman's Dome is only 45 minutes)
-- Drive the Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherohala Skyway or 'Tail of the Dragon'
-- Visit the fabulous little downtowns of nearby Bryson City, Murphy, Dillsboro, Waynesville or Franklin
-- Ride the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad
-- Visit Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest (awesome easy hike) and Fontana Dam
-- See the many waterfalls in the area and splash in the clear, rocky creeks
-- Take a day trip to Asheville to enjoy the Biltmore Estate and shop at the Asheville Farmer's market
-- And so much more -- take your pick from our binder of 'tried and worth it' activities!
After a fun day out, come home to a grilled dinner and drinks on the deck while watching the sun set behind the mountains, or snuggle up on the futon to enjoy your very own surround-sound movie 'theater.' Or play a game of Scrabble, Yahtzee, Jenga or cards, or do a puzzle. Then sleep deeply in the most comfortable, peaceful bed!
The cabin is only 15 minutes -- door to door -- to the grocery store and so many other activities. Don't waste your vacation trekking in and out of a cabin that's too far down winding roads. Get treetop seclusion with a fabulous view that's also so close to the best of everything to do in the western North Carolina mountains! 4WD or AWD is recommended; it's not always necessary but it's best to have it.
Some amenities worth mentioning:
-- high-end construction: ceramic tile, berber carpets, excellent sound-proofing insulation, beautiful wood trim
-- well-equipped kitchen for those who like to cook (including a good chopping knife!)
-- brand new high efficiency front-load washer and gas dryer
-- 'blackout' curtains for peaceful sleeping
-- covered storage on the deck for your bikes
-- surround-sound movie theater with 37' flat screen HDTV, Apple TV loaded with tons of current movies and music

-- alarm clock
-- ceiling fan in the living room, floor fan for the bedroom, space heater for an extra-cosy bathroom if you're staying in the winter

-- laundry baskets, robe
-- rocker/recliner chair in the living room, in addition to the full-size futon
-- central heat and AC

The cabin was great. It was a perfect weekend base for myself, my wife and 8 year old daughter., who loved walking around collecting rocks. This was one of the cleanest rentals that I have ever stayed in, not to mention that the owners have it stocked with whatever you would need; from kitchen supplies, to paper products, to extra sheets and blankets. We hiked at the park all day and took the Polar Express at night. I would definitely recommend this place for small families/groups like ours.Did you find this review helpful? My wife and two small children stayed for a week. This cabin is a great place to stay, very close to tons of fun things and great hiking. The space was very comfortable, and the views are amazing. Especially the sunsets. It was just as the pictures described. We had a mini van and it was a little tough getting up the hill but we made it. If you have a low riding vehicle or rear wheel drive you will have a tough time making it up the hill. There is one big rock in the middle of the road up they need to remove. We would definitely stay here again. Owners were very nice and easy to deal with.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

My wife and I just spent a full week at this new cabin. The cabin is very clean and quiet, with spectacular views of the mountains. The cabin is well stocked with everything you need for a great stay, and is better stocked than many other VRBO units we have rented in the past. The owners were very flexible and easy to deal with, and returned our security deposit within 3 days of our departure. There is plenty to see and do in the area, as we visited many small towns and did some great hiking-all within a 30 minute drive from the cabin. We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a great escape from the "hustle and bustle" of everyday life!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We had a great time in Bryson city, and the cabin was a great secluded getaway. The view from the front porch was beautiful. The cabin was stocked with all essential kitchen appliances as well as an outdoor propane grill for cooking. It was clean upon arrival. While the driveway is a bit steep, we were able to easily navigate it with just a four cylinder two wheel drive vehicle after the first try. We would recommend this cabin to others seeking a secluded spot with kitchen and mountain views yet located in proximity to the city and mountain activities. Enjoy!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We thoroughly enjoyed our four nights in this cabin. It is off the beaten path so each day, we stayed out the entire day rather than come and go...however, we really liked the secluded feel when we were there! The cabin is quite cozy and well maintained. The owners were extremely helpful on the front end and during the trip. They were very accommodating!Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Such a beautiful part of the country and a great escape from the city. The cabin was very clean and the owners were thoughtful and attentive. It was kind of like living in a tree house and the views are stunning. The seclusion was welcome and the drive up to the cabin was no problem for our 2WD car, even in a downpour. Lots to do and see in the surrounding area and our 2 1/2 yr old loved exploring the surrounding forest. The photos and listing details absolutely reflect the cabin's appearance and amenities. Hope to come back!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Had a great weekend based at Treetop Cabin outside Bryson City. So convenient to Tsali, Nantahala Outdoor Center, Joyce Kilmer Forest and Fontana Dam. Remote feel, but not far from town. Beautiful large deck overlooking mountains and was able to make it up hill in my front wheel drive sedan. Hope to come back sometime soon!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers.

We had a fantastic time at this cabin. This is the lower level of a two story cabin, but is does not feel like a basement at all. The views from the deck are awesome, and the cabin is very clean, modern, and comfortable. No musky smell or anything like that and it is very quiet. The road to the cabin is steep, and if you are not familiar with mountain driving, getting up there in the darkness might be intimidating. We had no problems in a Subaru, but our friend's Toyota Matrix did NOT make it up the last part of the road. There is a little spot where you can leave your vehicle and walk the rest of the way, but this is definitely something to be aware of if you have a vehicle with a small engine. The owner is very attentive and the place is kept in very nice shape.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We have rented several times in this area. We have family that has a cabin in Almond so this was only 10 minutes away. The view is beautiful. The rental is a modern walk out basement with a huge deck. Although it is a drive to the rental we were fine even though we did not have 4 wheel drive. The listing & photos etc were exactly like it was. Owners were very helpful. We would rent againRecommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.
