Everything about our stay was great. The rooms were large and the natural lighting really added to the beauty of everything. This truly was a home away from home for us. A BETTER home away from home I might add! Everything is so up to date-newer full size appliances, large beds, super luxurious master bathroom and a great view from every window. We are both avid outdoors people so we really enjoyed the hiking and exploring!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

This was by far the least stressful trip/vacation I have ever taken. You go on vacation to get away from the stress/grind of daily life and undoubtedly exchange it for stressful complications with a stay or misinformation about where you end up staying. Thank you Jim for making my experience the exact opposite of this! Stress-free, everything taken care of and ready, and me equipped with all the information I needed beforehand. The unit was amazing too, with plenty of space, on site amenities, an up to date bathroom, great furniture and beds. But I really need to give KUDOS to Jim for making this such a great experience from start to finish. Cannot wait to book another trip through Jim!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks for staying!

This resort has so much to offer! The rooms were plenty big for all of us and felt more like a vacation home than a resort. We spent two whole days just enjoying the resort, its pool and the scenery! After that, there is plenty to see and do within a short distance of the resort for any interest you may haveOwner response: Thanks for staying with at the Sedona Summit - we (also) LOVE it there! The views and rooms are magnificent - hope you return soon! Cheers Jim Gioiosa

Many times what you see in pictures is a far cry from what you actually get when it comes to resorts and hotels....this time WAS NOT THE CASE! The rooms were beautifully detailed and adorned, just like the pictures showed. The bathrooms are divine and the synergy of modern with a slightly rustic feel throughout was done perfectlyRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.
Owner response: The Sedona Summit is ranked TOP 5 Resorts in Sedona - and some argue it's #1 - we're glad you loved it! Come back soon! Cheers Jim Gioiosa

I just returned from this property in Sedona after traveling with my sister and 83 yr old mother. I don't even know where to start. This place is the best I have stayed in. The condo and grounds were immaculate. In all the condos I have rented over the years I had NEVER stayed in one with a FULLY stocked kitchen, much less one with a Cuisine coffee maker, etc.! We wanted for nothing. The resort staff was exceptional. The pools and hot tubs were very clean. We noticed all different ages from young families to retired persons. The location was convenient to all we wanted to do. Jim was right when he told me before we left that we would love the place and the area. Can't wait to return. Thanks Jim!!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

I have been to Arizona many times for vacation but this was my first time staying in Sedona. I WILL NEVER VISIT ANYWHERE ELSE IN ARIZONA!! This place is sooo beautiful and personifies the state's motto Ditat Deus (God Enriches). The rooms had a very earthy but clean & crisp feel. The tub was amazing and I literally could feel all my cares washing away after using it for the first time. This place is definitely not oversold and is worth every penny and then some. P.S. Jim thank you so much for making things so smooth!! I look forward to booking with you again on my next trip if possible.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.
Owner response: You're too kind:) Thanks for the awesome review - and thanks for being our guest - we're glad you had an awesome time! See you again? Cheers - Jim

My friend and I stayed at the Sedona Summit May 4th-8th and were completely satisfied. We would have preferred a room with a view of the rocks, which we did not get, but that was no big deal; all we had to do was to walk around the building to get a beautiful view. Besides, we were out of the unit, seeing the rocks up close and personal most of the time. The "concierge" at the Sedona Summit is a salesperson, period. However, she was helpful in answering our questions and in providing us with a map of the area. As for the sales pitch, we politely said "no, we are not interested", and that was the end of it. They did call us in our rooms two times during our four day stay, asking us to come to their presentation, but again, a polite "no thank you; we aren't interested" was all it took. Our room was immaculate. We couldn't have asked for a cleaner room. We got the two bedroom, which was really a one bedroom and a studio combined. The one bedroom had complete kitchen facilities, a separate den, a bedroom with a king-sized bed, and a huge bathroom with a large tub and a walk-in shower. The studio would have been plenty of room for a solo traveler or a couple. It had a combined bedroom/den/kitchen. The only thing the kitchen lacked was an oven. It had a refrigerator, two stove burners, a microwave, blender, toaster, etc... The bathroom had a large walk-in shower. The one bedroom unit would have been more than enough for my friend and myself if we could have gotten separate beds, but all that was offered was a king sized bed. The patios were the tiniest I've ever seen, but enough room for two people and a tiny table between them. In the one-bedroom, however, the patio just faced the parking lot so we didn't use it. We didn't specify if we wanted an upstairs or downstairs unit, and were assigned a first floor. At first I was a little disappointed because I thought that if I had a balcony instead of a patio, perhaps I could see a view other than the next building. Later I realized how difficult it would have been for two women (late 50's and 60's) to get the luggage up and down the stairs, so I was grateful that we were on the first floor. The sofa in our unit was very uncomfortable, but it was a sleeper sofa and I've never sat on one of those that was comfortable. The beds were just right for us, though! Really, I would have NO hesitation recommending this resort to anyone.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This place was super fancy! We could not believe how meticulously well kept and prepared the suite was upon our arrival. Nothing was out of place and we had everything we could think of possibly needing while staying here. The furniture was very comfortable and we slept well every night. There is lots of natural lighting which greatly added to the beauty and appeal of the suite. I really liked being able to grill food during our stay. Nothing compares to a N.Y. Strip steak grilled to perfection.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks for 5 out 5 stars! We appreciate your review - and hope you join us again. The Sedona Summit is not perfect - but we're darn close. Thanks for helping make us one of the "BEST PLACES TO STAY IN SEDONA 2012" Cheers - Jim Gioiosa

The location of The Summit has great views and there are a number of different pools/hot tubs so while the place was packed, it never felt crowded. You are at the end of West Sedona so not really walking distance to anything. But walk up or down the hill for great sunset/rise views. We didnt understand that with timeshares, you are not renting a particular room. When we arrived, the had oversold so we would get bounced from one room to another. The front desk folks were wondering out loud shall we downgrade or upgrade. I suggested that upgrade was the right answer. They helped us move but 4 beers disappeared in the process, although the front desk was quick to send someone to Safeway to replace them. When we got moved, we got put in a room with the right layout but we were in a dark hole with no view and facing highway 89, so it was noisy. I suspect that the people who are owners of the timeshares get priority on nice rooms and we found out at the spa talking to others that the owners can request which building they wanted to be in. So if you want to rent this place, do your homework, push for a good location, and go during a non-peak season. The unit itself was nicely laid out with interesting angles and a large bathroom with soaker tub and separate shower. We got the one bedroom suite, I think, and it only had a patio door on one side and then a window into the kitchen, shotgun style, so there is not a lot of natural light unless you are facing a good direction. All that said, Jim was wonderful to work with. He apologized for our problems and even refunded some of our money, even though the overbooking was not his fault. He also might be a bit pricy. I was contacted by someone else with a similar timeshare there after booking with Jim and she was offering the same type of unit for a couple hundred dollars less.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Hi Darcy - thanks for the 4 (out of 5) STAR REVIEW. Since you & I have talked (many times) I'm certain HOW we could have made it 5 out of 5 stars - and I truly wish we could have! I'm glad we fixed everything -and it all worked out - looking forward to helping you next year. Have a great summer - Jim & Ashten
