This townhouse is clean, quiet and comfortable. It's a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the beach across the street.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

House was clean and a good place for Pet owner with lots of space. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, etc. We had one major problem which was the kitchen sink faucet was broken (could not turn off water). Owner needs to install smoke detectors inside the house for fire safety.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Had a wonderful long weekend. The property was as described and made for a very nice stay. Super quiet neighborhood and very pretty. Weather was outstanding for Oct. and the ocean was breathtaking. Unit had all that could have been asked for, very comfortable. Hope to stay again in the future!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

It was very comfortable, my daughter thought the downstairs bed comfy and the upstairs bed was fabulous. For the money you cannot beat it, the neighbourhood was sooo quiet....did see one deer in the am as well. The washer and dryer are a bonus, can do some laundry before you leave and not have a pile when you get home. Would stay again when in the area.........Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The townhouse was roomy, had everything we needed and in a great location, across Hwy 101 from Harris Beach State Park.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Comfortable and clean. Best for families with children who are not really little, since the kids will be downstairs and the parents upstairs, and the caution necessary with the loft. We put our youngest child on a mattress in the living room and our older child in the downstairs bedroom. Very convenient to Harris Beach and even better, Boardman State Park. Some great restaurants in Brookings too. So much better than staying in a hotel/motel!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing.

My parents and I decided to try renting a place for our three day weekend (it was the first time any of us had done so) and we had a wonderful time. :) The owners were wonderful and very timely getting back to any questions I had. Both beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room for us and our dogs. Also, a very short drive to Harris Beach day access that was wonderful.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The home was fabulous! Clean, Clean, Clean!!!! (very important). Great location and lots of room. Very quiet in a lovely location. Able to walk to the beach and had all the comforts of home. Could have used a few clocks that worked and a few more dishes in the kitchen, but all-in-all, fabulous. We will stay again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We were satisfied with our stay at this house, mostly because we were just looking for the best price. We spent less than a hotel would have cost, for a lot more space. The owner was easy to work with, responds to emails very quickly. A couple notes people may want to know... My husband and I stayed here with our 3 kids, ages 7, 5, and 18mos. The loft area rails do not meet safety guidelines of being less than 4" spaces, so it was pretty stressful keeping an eye on a busy toddler that could have fit between or under the railing very easily. Maybe a couple baby gates at the stairs would be in order? The master bedroom is upstairs and is exceptional. It's huge, with an amazingly comfy king bed. However, the 2nd (very tiny) bedroom is downstairs, with a queen bed that even my small children (who don't have high standards) said is "really hard". I was already feeling a little uncomfortable with our bedroom being so far away, and so when we were gettting ready for bed, I wanted to make sure the windows were locked. I was not happy to find that the latch did not work, and we could not lock the window -- of an isolated, ground floor room. So my kids all camped out upstairs in the master bedroom or loft. Also, be aware that this is a duplex, so we were constantly shushing the kids because of the shared wall/noise issue. There is no dvd player, toys, or board games. The neighborhood was nice, although the houses are all very close together, and there is really no yard are to speak of. The kitchen is supplied with a basic amount of dishes and utensils, but no extras (spices or saran wrap, etc). Harris Beach is across the highway, and there does not seem to be any walking path to the beach, so we drove, but it is a short distance. That is where we spent most of our time. So to sum up, if you just need a home base to keep your stuff and sleep in, for the best price, and don't have small children, I would recommend this house. Next time, I may choose to pay a little more for a place where it's more fun to "hang out" at, and/or be a little closer to the sand, and be able to at least see the ocean. But I felt like for the price we paid it was a fair deal.Recommended for: Romantic getaway
Owner response: Let me, as the owner, address a few things. The loft area rails were built before the new home safety guidelines that you speak of. As stated in the vacation rental, you are responsible for the people (children) staying in the rental. That second bed that you call "really hard" is a very expensive Temperpedic bed that supports the back and body much better than a conventional mattress. In the VRBO listing I clearly described the home and a town house or town home which means it has a shared wall. I'm very sorry it didn't completely please you, as it has for every other one of my tenants.

Stayed here for a few days while looking at real estate. Very comfortable beds and furniture! Nice quiet location and great little walk to the beach. Tastefully decorated, feels like a home should. This cozy home provided us with the perfect getaway destination. It's very close to both Harris Beach and Lone Ranch. The amenities saved us money by allowing for cooking in the house. Family friendly, and more than I expected. Great place and location. We had a great visit and would stay here again. We have told our friends about it being 1/4 mile from a beautiful beach and how it has many amenities to make our stay comfortable. What a great opportunity to spend time with family and have a whole townhouse to ourselves!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, sightseeing.
