This condo is located only two blocks from the ski lifts at Angel Fire. Walk or Catch the ski shuttle in front of condo. Convenient to utilize the resort's overnight equipment storage at the slopes. Less than two miles from the fabulous Angel Fire Resort Golf and Country Club, where guests can enjoy the fitness center, indoor swimming pool and 18 hole championship golf course.*
We love the convenience of Angel Fire skiing and think others will too. A day of skiing is so enjoyable when catching the shuttle just outside the condo. By utilizing the resort's overnight ski storage, lugging equipment is a thing of the past. We can get you a 15% discount on your rentals through our referral service.
Our family's goal is simple. We want to provide a clean, safe environment for you and your family to come and enjoy Angel Fire and all that it has to offer at a price that is affordable to all.
We bought the condo in April of 2011 and immediately did a makeover on the unit by installing new fixtures, window treatments and flooring to modernize the unit. The previous owner bought the unit when it was brand new and took extremely good care of it, so the unit is in excellent condition and shows no signs of pets or smoking in the unit (neither of which are presently allowed).
The condo has 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a Queen bed, private sink, walk out balcony and 19 inch, wall-mounted flat screen cable TV. The second bedroom also has a Queen bed, but has a twin bunk bed in it too, as well as a wall-mounted 19 inch flat screen cable TV. The condo has a full kitchen including dishwasher, refrigerator, oven/stove, microwave, coffee pot and full kitchen utensils. It has a full bath and a living/dining room with a Queen size sleeper sofa and a fireplace with a 42 inch flat screen TV mounted over it. A washer/dryer is available to use in the complex, about 20 yards away.
If you have never been to Angel Fire, you are in for a treat. Situated at 8,600 feet, the climate is perfect. The temperatures are mild enough to ski comfortably in the winter/spring and yet cool enough in the summer months to enjoy being outside as much as you like. Unlike the sweltering summer heat in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and other surrounding states, Angel Fire rarely sees temperatures above 80 degrees. Another advantage to Angel Fire is the travel time, being about 3 to 4 hours closer than any other ski resorts in Colorado if you are traveling from the east.
Summertime activities are plentiful in Angel Fire. As of July 2012, you can zipline at Angel Fire. Or, take a ride up the ski lift to see the beautiful Rocky Mountains around you from the top of the ski mountain. The trip back down can be as easy or as challenging as you want it to be. Hike, bike (yes, you can hang your bike on the lift and ride it down) take a casual stroll or just stay on the lift and enjoy the ride back to the bottom. Regardless of what you choose, you can't go wrong.
If you like fishing, this is the place to be. Eagle Nest lake is about ten miles away and is full of trout, Kokanee Salmon, yellow perch and even a few unwelcome pike. If you prefer streams, drive about five more miles and fish for trout in the Cimarron River or head 30 minutes over to Taos to fish one of the many streams in that region.
Need more options? How about whitewater rafting just down the road in Taos or renting four wheelers or horses to ride in the mountains around Angel Fire.
If you like to shop, you will find plenty of places to browse in Angel Fire, Eagle Nest (10 minutes), Taos and Red River (45 minutes). Whether you are looking for something new and shiny or prefer the rusty old antiques, there is something for everyone.
As for wintertime activities, skiing is the obvious choice for most visitors. But, if you want a change of pace, try the tubing hill or rent snowmobiles to ride in the mountains.
No matter whether it is summer, winter, spring or fall, another thing you can always count on at Angel Fire is GREAT SUNSETS and TREMENDOUS AMOUNTS OF WILDLIFE. The sunsets are truly spectacular, as you can see from some of the photos. As for the wildlife, it is not uncommon to see several hundred elk and a few herds of mule deer as you make a quick drive around Angel Fire. You might even catch a glimpse of a black bear, mountain lion or bobcat. Bald Eagles and other birds of prey are also common in the area, especially around Eagle Nest Lake.
Regardless of what you are looking for, you will find it in Angel FIre. Come stay at our cozy little condo and enjoy the mountains.

Our family had a great stay at this condo. It's just a short walk to the slopes or there is a shuttle stop right outside the building. Great that there was a Wii and lots of games to play, although my children were so tired after a full day skiing that it wasn't used as much as we thought it would be. The owner was very timely and helpful. I wish it had its own washer/dryer - but have to admit it wasn't too inconvenient to use the communal facility which is just across in the next building. We never had to wait to use it (and we used it every night!) I would recommend this condo :)Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Extra sheets and towels were a definite plus, the kitchen was well stocked for cooking( although a larger skillet would help). Easy drive to Chili Express lift. For our family of four, the place was just right. Tried the Elk Horn Lodge restaurant which was great and highly recommended. Discount lift tickets came in handy. Our 12 & 11 yr olds first time skiers enjoyed the ski school x 2 days and were skiing from the top on day 2!! Overall a good experience. Easy drive up from Austin!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

This condo has employees that work at the resort staying in the condo below. They have yelled and carried on every night this week to as late as 3AM. Not what we are used to. The beds are rock hard! The shuttle never ran on any schedule and some days didn't run at all! It is 400 yards to the lifts and half of it is up hill.Recommended for: Pet owners.
Owner response: It is our goal to make every guest feel special. As a result of Mr. H's suggestions, we have replaced the mattresses in the condo and taken care of the noisey tenants downstairs. We appreciate his comments.

We just returned from our wonderful Christmas ski/snowboard trip. The condo is great, we were able to walk to and from the slopes each day, there is a shuttle, but it's quicker most days to just hoof it. We really enjoyed being so close to come back for a quick lunch or hot coco warm up. The condo is a good size for our family of six that stayed there, four adults and two kids had plenty of room. A big plus of the condo was the huge amount of pots/plates/etc, we were able to feed our crew for the whole day before we had to do dishes, really love that! Also took advantage of the discount lift tickets/ski rentals, thanks! The biggest plus to renting this condo over another? Besides the discount, which is great, being able to contact the owner and her prompt reply is the cherry on this sundae. Before we got there, she answered my questions well, but even while we were there she answered! Also she was ready and willing to help with a noisy neighbor problem, so appreciate the help! The only thing we think they could change is the wifi, it isn't good at all for mobile devices, but maybe that's a good thing..... All in all, we hope to come back next year, loved it!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.
Owner response: So thrilled you enjoyed your stay! We try to treat our guests as we would like to be treated. Thank you for the kind words.

The condo was clean and accommodated our family of 5 quite nicely. We arrived on our first day late and easily found the rental office to pick of our keys. We really enjoyed our stay in Angel Fire and found lots to do in the Enchanted Circle. We will return.Recommended for: Families with teenagers.

Loved proximity to ski lift and restaurants---can walk everywhere. Zip line at top of ski lift. Nice recliner lawn chairs to enjoy large deck for morning coffee, middle of day sun, and early evening sunset. Quiet area. Visited Taos and saw marvelous sights such as Rio Grande Gorge and Taos Pueblos. Took a hot air balloon ride. Viet Nam Memorial about 5 miles away. Owner has notebook with activities and restaurant menus. Condo is comfortable and convenient.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful visit to Angle Fire and the condo was perfect for us. We arrived very late the first night and had no problems picking up the key, etc. The condo was well stocked, plenty of towels, blankets, etc. There is plenty of sleeping room. It was also very close to the lifts so we were able to take a mid-day break from skiing when the kids were tired. The owner responded quickly to our question regardling the location of the laundryroom (we had some wet gloves that we needed to dry). It snowed almost the entire time we were there...just an awesome family vacation!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

If you are looking for a great place for up to 8 people to stay next to the slopes this condo is for you! You can literally walk back and forth to the ski resort in a few minutes, but there is also a shuttle stop just outside the building if you want to ride. The condo was immaculate and was well stocked with just about everything you need, but might forget to bring with you, including all the kitchen utensiles needed to make meals. It was great having TV's in the bedrooms in addition to the big flat screen above the fireplace. The owners and property managers were extremely nice and attentive to whatever we needed. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance so you don't really need to drive anywhere, but the downtown area is close as well. All in all, it was a great place to stay and definitely worth recommending.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our stay at this property was enjoyable. The property was as described, a little short on toilet paper and kleenex but owner was very helpful when I brought that to his attention. Easy to get to slopeside because they were running shuttles, often enough that we never had to wait more than 5 minutes. Shuttle stop was close to condo so we did not have to walk far. Great ski resort moderate skiers, blues ranged from fairly easy to pretty challenging, don't know about the blacks-we don't ski those-yet. Not a lot to the town so if you like to do anything other than ski, this is not the place for you. Definately recommend the Roasted Clove, a bit pricey but the food and service were excellent. Enjoyed it so much we are planning on purchasing a condo there.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: Our family loves the outdoors and all that it has to offer, including skiing, hunting, fishing and hiking, which made Angel Fire the perfect choice. As far as drive time, we can be there in 10 hours, compared to 14 for most places in Colorado, so that was a big attraction too.
Why the Owner Chose Angel Fire:
The climate is wonderful. Angel Fire and the surrounding area is beautiful. The condo location is perfect for all there is to do in the Angel Fire area and seemed like a natural choice.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Be on the slopes in under five minutes when you walk out the front door. The free ski shuttle runs directly in front of the unit and drops you off at the lift within a few minutes of boarding the shuttle, so there is no need to walk or drive anywhere when it is time to go skiing.
