Our exceptional villa is the perfect retreat for the recreational interests of the whole family: golf at any of Shipyard's 27 holes; tennis at the world-class Van der Meer Tennis facility; morning walks or sandcastles on the white, sandy beach; relaxation at the pristine Greens' private pool...all can be enjoyed at the same time!
Our tastefully decorated two-story, non-smoking villa provides you with outstanding vacation amenities. The deck overlooks the 7th tee at Shipyard Golf and the bike/jogging path which winds through miles of lush terrain. Situated across from a tennis resort (where we provide our guests with one hour of free tennis daily) and a five-minute walk to twelve miles of beautiful sandy beach, our unit can accommodate seven people in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere.
As soon as you open the door, the pride we take in our home will be apparent. Dramatically redesigned, the first floor features a bright and open kitchen. The walls have been removed, eliminating the galley kitchen and creating a custom design, new to The Greens. This has been enhanced with an island and complemented by new cabinets, appliances, and granite countertops. An adjoining breakfast nook with slider welcomes the morning sun.
The great room has been updated with a dining table and six chairs that coordinate with a queen sleep sofa and love seat, recliner, and additional seating. Double sliders, which open to the deck and golf course just beyond, make this area bright and scenic. This floor also features a large half-bath, perfect for guests using the sleep sofa. In addition, a new porcelain tile floor accentuates the aesthetics throughout this level.
The second floor has two decorator enhanced bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, day bed, walk-in closet, cable TV and DVD, while the guestroom has twin beds, double closets, cable TV and VCR. A conveniently located laundry area with new full size washer and dryer completes the level.

One unexpected visitor is featured in our final website picture. Perched on our entracnce light for an entire day, an Eastern Screech Owl sat unfazed by all activity and curious onlookers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: 1. How far is 199 Greens from the beach? Our villa is two-tenths of a mile from the beach, a leisurely 5-minute walk. 2. Do you have High Speed internet? Yes, High Speed internet is provided through a broadband (cable) connection that has wireless access. 3. Do you have a barbeque grill? No. We do not provide a grill because we cannot ensure its cleanliness. However, a grill can be rented for a nominal fee.

For many years my wife and I have rented properties at various addresses in Shipyard on Hilton Head Island. For the last few years we have stayed at 199 The Greens. Van der Meer Tennis Center is less than a hundred yards from the front door and the beach is only a short walk. Steve and Ann, you obviously take pride in keeping the unit in top shape, and the furnishings and décor are attractive and comfortable. The recently renovated kitchen makes entertaining a breeze, and the large LCD flat screen TV is great for watching tennis or movies. Whether we sit around with friends in the living area, or relax on the deck watching golfers hit a tee shot, there is always an atmosphere of warmth and tranquility that is refreshing.

Chris and I were extremely impressed with how lovely and well-equipped your villa was. We have stayed on the island a half dozen times and have never been fortunate enough to find a place that was so clean and thoughtfully maintained. I doubt that many other people would put this much effort into making visitors comfortable. I must tell you that we went (to Hilton Head) with two other families who also stayed in the Greens and both agreed that we had the nicest accommodations. Be assured that we will recommend your villa to our family and friends.

Hi Steve, Your villa is VERY nice...very well equipped and we really didn't lack for anything. You have done a terrific job in the remodel, and we have now found a new home on Hilton Head. We tried to treat it like it was our own...we were owners once. The days were quite nice, sunny and low to mid 80's, perfect for tennis, and the tennis clinics were as enjoyable as ever. Your local contact was easy to deal with and very accommodating. Steve, I am so glad that we connected. I look forward to next year and returning to your villa. We have been coming to Hilton Head every year for over 15 years, and this has, by far, been the best. Our 3 year-old loved watching the golfers tee off from your deck....
