From this 800- square foot apt. you can gaze across the valley at the Dundee Hills and view the western coastal range. We’re told it’s one of the prettiest views in the valley. Or, you can sit beneath the covered patio and simply enjoy the gardens and vineyards at hand while sipping a glass of local wine, or a cup of coffee from one of the many NW coffee roasters.
Two freshwater springs run through the property offering tranquility and nurturing the local wildlife. The owners occupy the upstairs of this vineyard home. The apartment has a private entrance, patio and parking area. There are no children or pets.
We are close enough to the Portland (36 miles) to enjoy the best of both worlds making this the perfect place for you to call home away from home. We are located 6 miles from historic downtown Newberg and minutes from Allison Resort and spa, great dining options, numerous regional wineries, art, hiking, and biking trails. Hot air ballooning, massages, horseback riding, daytrips to the coast or Mt. Hood are easily accessible.
The Home: The spacious studio apartment is brand new. It’s open floor plan and loads of natural light contributes to the country gentleman charm of this secluded get away. The living area has a wide screen TV, and oversized reclining leather couch & chairs for hours of reading and relaxing. The memory foam Queen bed and natural non-allergenic bedding will make you want to linger in bed while listening to the morning songbirds. What a gem! My husband and I were delighted when we arrived and saw this apartment with our own private entrance with big windows overlooking the vineyard at Wits End! The owners have thought of everything! The apartment is furnished with a huge TV and leather sofa as well as a very comfortable bed and high quslity bedding. After a great night of sleep, we sat outside on the deck drinking coffee and watching the birds in the beautiful gardens.. Just a short drive to winery's and the coast. The perfect getaway. We will absolutely be back.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing.

Thank you for a wonderful vacation in Oregon! The listing description and photos were accurate. Actually, the place is much more spacious and pretty in person. The suite was well-appointed, clean, and nicely decorated. The location could not be beat - comfortably isolated, with serene views of the valley from the property, short driving distance to downtown Newberg and lots of vineyards. So quiet at night - slept well. The owner was quite helpful via email and phone in pre-stay questions we had on the area and the property. Thank you, Corby, for a lovely stay!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you for sharing our little piece of rural beauty. Delighted to hear that you enjoyed yourselves. Sorry we missed you at the winery. I hesitate to disturb anyone during their stay, but next time I hope to meet you coming or going. Cheers.

The views and peace and quiet were spectacular! Tons of great wineries and restaurants made the days very fun, and the scenery can't be beat. This trip cemented Oregon as one of the most beautiful landscapes I've seen. The owner's were very nice and greeted us as we arrived, then gave us our privacy to enjoy each other and a few bottles of Pinot.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.
Owner response: We are so delighted you started your honeymoon at Wits' End. Congratulations. We hope to see you again. Ask for a returning guest discount. Cheers to your long adventure together. Corby Soles

The pictures cannot accurately capture how beautiful the setting is, nor how unique and nice the suite is. A great place to relax and feel like you are away from the rush of the city, while still being close to activities and sights (wine tasting, shopping, restaurants). We loved walking through the vineyard on the property while drinking our coffee in the morning. You can't really beat that. We will definitely recommend this place to family and friends.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Just returned from a wonderful stay at this great wine country escape. Convenient to everything we were wanting to experience. The accommodations are just as described if not better, wonderful open layout with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the great vineyard views. Quality furnishings, local art and a super comfy bed just add to this well planned vacation rental. Owners were very easy to work with and provided great information to the surrounding areas, wineries and restaurants. If you are looking for a great getaway don't hesitate to book. we will definitely return.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks for the great review. We sure loved meeting you. We'll be in touch.

The pictures don't really begin to reveal how comfortable and lovely this home is. Here, you are truly in the country with vineyards before you. After days of touring and dining this was the perfect place to kick back with some local cheese and a bottle of wine to watch the sun set at the end of the day. Thanks for making your place available to us. We'll be back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Location
Owner info
Year Purchased: 2002
About the owner: The homeowners, Rollin and Corby Soles, own ROCO Winery a small family owned and operated winery located 6 miles from their home. When time allows-Corby wanders from her office at ROCO to her glass studio on the property where she transforms glass into art. Some of her work can be viewed at Art Elements Gallery in Newberg and at Argyle and ROCO wineries.
Why the Owner Chose Newberg:
We've owned this property since 1986 and finally built our home in 2002. The location is stunning year round. When we return home from vacationing around the world, we often wonder why we ever left home. Since we entertain a fair bit, we thought it was time to make a place available to other appreciative travelers seeking the Oregon wine experience.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
We're happy to recommend wineries, tour guides, things to do and places to see and dine.
