My sisters and I take a yearly trip. This year, due to some health problems, we decided to stay closer to home. Innsbrook is only about 45 minutes from where we live, but it is in a beautful area, miles from the hustle and bustle of the city. The home has a great floor plan and is beautifully decorated. The setting was gorgeous. We also rented Peggy's golf cart and explored the area. We had several deer in the yard. We baked our Christmas cookies for two days and just laughed and relaxed. It was a wonderful place. Peggy was great to work with and if she still owns this house next year, we would love to come back.Recommended for: People with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We rented the property for a weekend getaway with another couple and our 4 children. The house was perfect with plenty of space for everyone. We were able to take advantage of the nearby hiking trails, fished from the dock, and roasted s'mores in the fire pit in the evenings. Peggy was great to work with and very helpful. Already looking forward to next year's trip!Recommended for: Families with young children

The house was perfect for our 4 couples, the lake and area were beautiful. The male side of the couples really enjoyed the golf course. There are many things to do in the Innsbrook area and can see us visiting again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We had a great 3 days at Innsbrook. The house was great. Plenty of space for the entire family to relax. Lucked out with awesome weather which always helps.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

My brothers and I had rented the home for my parent's 40th anniversary celebration. We had a great time and will be back again. We had a total group of 8. (6 adults and 2 children, ages 3 and 6). The configuration of the home was perfect with the lower level having 2 bedrooms, a full bath and an extra fridge/sink and family room. Also, the kitchen had everything you needed with a good size dining table large enough to sit 12 people comfortably. We enjoyed using the paddle boat and kayak on the lake. The Innsbrook resort was great as well. The golf course was in decent shape for a public one and the restaurant had a good variety of food. I would highly recommend this home to any groups or families. It has enough space and seperation to comfortably accomodate up to 10 people. What a great home and in a close location to the St. Louis area!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed for three nights and would highly recommend this home for a family vacation or any get-away! It's on a beautiful, quiet setting on Lake Whippoorwill. We all enjoyed the lake and the peaceful surroundings. Kids enjoyed the lower level, with the deck out to the lake. The owner was wonderful to work with and helped make our stay a 5-star experience! My stay at Inssbrook was everything I expected... quiet, peaceful but with plenty of opportunity to keep active (or rest). The house was as described in VRBO, picturesque. well decorated and well maintained. Our host Peggy was gracious and helpful. All in all, I would strrongly recommend this house and Innsbrook in particulate.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

I chose this property for our Third Annual Camp Grandma because of it's proximity to St. Louis (a short 45-minute drive from Chesterfield) and all the amenities that Innsbrook has to offer. Our three older grandchildren (12, 10 & 7) enjoyed fishing, kayaking and using the paddleboat on Lake Whippoorwill. Golf, carriage rides and horseback riding were just a short distance away. Petey, the donkey at the stables, was a big hit with the children too! Everyone, including the two younger children (2-1/2 & 1), loved playing in the pools at the conference center and on the sand beach at the house. The children had full run of the lower level for movies, electronic games, arts & crafts and piano concerts. This property is also a great place for animal watching; we saw wild turkeys, ducks, deers, rabbits, squirrels and a beautiful array of birds! If possible, my husband and I plan to go back for a few days this fall just to enjoy the scenery and critters!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a great time during our stay at Innsbrook! The house was exactly as promised, clean, stocked, and well updated. We loved the use of the paddle boat, kayak, and golf cart. The kids had a great time playing on the beach area and taking rides on the boats. We used the house for our annual board member retreat. The distance from St. Louis is great. Just far enough to feel you are out of town but close enough to be in touch with needs in St. Louis. House was clean and all that is listed is true on the website. One of the needs we had was internet access and that was not available. The kitchen could use a few more pots and pans for larger groups/meals but the owner was very responsive when I called her with questions and needs. Used the golf cart to tour the area. Overall the house was well furnished with comfortable chairs, beds, linens, paper products and even a garage to park you car in. A home away from home!!! We will be contacting this home owner next year for our 2013 retreat.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Our stay was wonderful. The layout of the house is exceptional and the decor and furnishings clean and very cheerful like home. We enjoyed my husband's 50th birthday with our close friends at the house and sure enjoyed the March breeze, sunshine, lake view from the deck on Saturday. The guys loved the golf and the meal that evening at Cedar Wine Cellars was delicious not to mention the fun atmosphere and flowing wine! Laughing at old memories was a treat at your beautiful get-away from St. Louis. Thanks for stocked hospitality!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

This was a perfect spot for our golf outing with a group of 7 in October. Extremely easy to get to from main entrance and close to the golf course. Nice home with plenty of space for everyone. Enjoyed relaxing and BBQing on the deck and then moving to the firepit area in the evening. Home was very clean and had cable TV to watch the baseball game. The owner is very friendly and answered all my questions in a timely manner. We look forward to using this house again in the future and will plan on doing so in warmer weather to utilize the private dock!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

The house felt like home right away. It was very comfortable, clean and perfect for our group of eight--two brothers, their wives and 4 kids ages 5-15. We loved the paddle boat and golf cart. We spent the long weekend playing board games, tennis, swimming, feeding the horses and just relaxing together. It was lovely.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Coming here for the weekend felt like we were on vacation for the week! What a relaxing and peaceful place to stay! The house is absolutely beautiful and more than accommodated everyone's needs. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep and the beds were so comfortable! The kitchen provided everything we needed to cook all our meals and what a bonus to have the bar bq grill! The view of the water is beautiful regardless if your on the dock or on any of the other decks off the house. The kids caught their first fish, had so much fun swimming, going around the lake in the paddle boat, feeding the horses and just being out in nature! Looking forward to a return visit and will definately want to stay here again! Thanks for an amazing weekend!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
