Charlotte apartment description
This home is part of The Home Collection--Charlotte's Boutique Furnished Residences. TheHomeCollectionCLT.com
One of the best, most walkable locations in Charlotte! Convenient second-floor apartment with off-street parking.
Located on a quiet, tree-lined residential street in the Historic District of Dilworth, 1.5 miles from Uptown, you'll be able to walk to 3 parks, two full-service grocery stores, a health-food market, 40+ restaurants from casual to fine dining (including raw/vegan, Indian, 3 Thai restaurants, Italian, burgers/pizza, sushi, etc.) wine shop, wine bar, yoga and massage studios, coffee shops, art galleries, consignment shops, neighborhood pubs and other amenities.
A transit stop 1/2 block away provides bus service directly to Uptown and SouthPark (upscale shopping) every 15 minutes. The light rail stop to Uptown is only a 15-minute walk away. Carolinas Medical Center is 4 minutes away by car, or an easy 15-20 minute walk.
This super-comfortable, spotlessly clean, stylish, large two-bedroom apartment is in a historic 8-plex apartment building that we own, built in 1920, and has been completely remodeled with attention to all the details. High ceilings, refinished original hardwood floors, original 2-panel doors with glass door knobs help the apartment maintain its original character. It is furnished with a mix of new, midcentury modern and antique furniture with lots of original artwork.
The large balcony off of the living room provides a comfortable outdoor living area to take advantage of Charlotte's wonderful climate, whether for breakfast in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.
We've recently undertaken a complete GREEN renovation on the building, including dual- pane windows, high efficiency HVAC, energy efficient lighting, dual-flush toilets, ceiling fans, tankless water heaters and new insulation for comfort.
In the fully-equipped kitchen there are brand new cabinets, quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances, including a gas range and refrigerator with ice maker. A washer and dryer are also included in the apartment for your use. There is a large flat screen television and small stereo system in the living room and smaller flatscreen tvs in the bedrooms.
400-thread-count linens are provided for the King size bed and the second bedroom includes a desk for business travelers. Free wifi is included. Thick Egyptian cotton towels are provided as well.
There are 2 reserved parking spaces, and a community outdoor patio with gas grill, recycling facilities and composting. The grounds are well-landscaped with native and drought tolerant plantings. You'll feel safe and secure, with keyed access required for both the main entrance and the apartment.
Most of our guests are repeat clients who book in advance, so please book early. We think we've thought of everything you'll need for your visit, but if not, we live right around the corner so can help with anything you might need.
The apartment comes stocked with a complimentary assortment of food, snacks, wine, etc. I'm a native Charlottean, so am happy to provide any help during your stay, including restaurant suggestions, art openings, events, etc. Just ask! You'll love living like a local. We look forward to hosting you.

Service was GREAT!!!
Service was GREAT!!!
Jim and his staff did everything they could to make our stay trouble free. Before we arrived they discovered an AC problem in one of the many condos we were renting for a large family gathering to celebrate my son's wedding. Jim contacted me before we arrived and made adjustments so that our family would be comfortable during our stay. Of the four condos we rented everyone was clean, well supplied and very comfortable. Lisa the manager kept us up to date on the AC situation throughout our stay and made sure all our needs were being met. All my family enjoyed every condo and we highly recommend people to stay at these well located condos. Every event that took place over the wedding weekend was very within only minutes of these condos. Thanks for all the hard work Jim and Lisa.

Owner response: Thanks so much for the compliments and recommendation Greg! I know weddings can be stressful with high expectations, and we're very glad everyone in the wedding party enjoyed their stay. We've hosted many wedding guests, and it's nice that everyone can be together, but have their own space. An owner or manager personally inspects each of our residences before guests arrive, and fortunately we were able to detect the problem with the a/c before your arrival, and I'm glad we were able to get it resolved! Thanks again for staying with us. Jim
We had a family wedding in Charlotte and my niece (the bride) sent her out of town guests links to hotels & condos. My family decided to reserve 2 of your Dilworth condos. We could not have been more pleased! They were very comfortable, from bedding & linens to an outside space for morning coffee. We loved the thoughtful goodies you left for us too.. We didn't even have to run to the grocery store when we arrived. I would not hesitate to recommend your beautiful condos and we will definetly stay with you again! Thank you for everything.

Unique Urban Apartment
Unique Urban Apartment
The experience surpassed our expectations! One of the most unique places we've stayed- cool modern art decor provided the city feel we were seeking, tucked away in a beautiful neighborhood close to Uptown. The hosts provided excellent communication and all around attention to detail. We were even greeted with a welcome tray of snacks and toiletries. It felt like a cross between a swanky hotel and bed and breakfast, with all the comforts of home. I highly recommend renting from the Funderburks.

Can't do better!
Jim and James are great hosts. They responded to every email and request very promptly and with great advice about where to eat and what to see in Charlotte. The apartment is a little gem--very clean, very charming, and very comfortable. My friends and I enjoyed it greatly during our mini-reunion. You can't do better, IMHO.

Second stay!Guest comment entered by owner
We stayed here after having a wonderful visit in Jim and James' Queens Terrace building in nearby Myers Park. Great apartment - very comfortable and everything was close by. Much better alternative than staying in a hotel - it really felt like we were staying in someone's home. The restaurant recommendations were spot-on - 300 East should be on everyone's list of places to eat and their cocktails, especially the Wong, are excellent. Would recommend staying here to anyone and would defnitely look Jim and James up next time we are looking to stay in the area.

Impeccably Stylish Dilworth Apartment
Impeccably Stylish Dilworth Apartment
If you are planning to visit Charlotte, you can do no better than staying at one of Jim and James' amazing properties! They have a keen understanding of what guests want when away from home, and they have created a stylish, welcoming and comfortable home away from home. They are the quintessential hosts, and M3 reflects this care and attention to detail. From the fully stocked kitchen to ample towels and soaps in the bathroom to carefully selected food and beverage awaiting guests upon arrival, they've thought of it all. My dog and I stayed for more than a week while repairs were being made to my home, and I only wish I could've stayed longer. Magnolia Green is located in a wonderfully walkable area that's close to uptown, restaurants, shops and all sorts of things to do. If you visit without your own transportation, a bus stop is a block away, and light rail access is within walking distance--so getting around without a car is not a problem. Very convenient. I would highly recommend Magnolia Green and M3 to anyone looking for a wonderful place to get away while on vacation, business or visiting family. You won't be disappointed!

We loved our apartment in Dilworth and felt at home almost immediately. Jim and James were very helpful and had left us food so we wouldn't have to go out the first night we were there- I also found the fact that I could make myself a gin and tonic a nice surprise. If we need to rent an apartment in Charlotte again, we will have no hesitation in staying here.

Nice home away from home
Nice home away from home
We enjoyed our week in Dilworth. The city is charming and very close to Uptown. As soon as you turn the corner at the end of the street, you can see the skyline. Our hosts left us kitchen basics, wine, and snacks and had everything we would need for the kitchen. There were plenty of linens and we did not need a thing. There is no DVD player, so you may want to bring a portable player (there is Netflix). The water pressure throughout was weak and the temperature was on and off with controls, this was a minor inconvenience. We recommend this apartment to out-of-towners looking to be close to everything and have a furnished, clean place to enjoy while away from home.

Why the Owner Chose Charlotte:
Historic Dilworth is among the best and most walkable locations in the city. The neighborhood is made up of a nice mix of people who value the convenience of living so close to Uptown, but in a quiet setting with tree-lined streets, wide sidewalks and non-cookie-cutter homes. We do most of our errands on foot or by bike, and enjoy being out and about in the neighborhood.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
Located near three parks, several grocers, a farmers market, wine shop and dozens of restaurants, it's a great place to park your car and explore on foot or by bike.
