Accommodations: Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1.5 Baths (Sleeps 4)
Keywords: Condominium
This apartment has a lot of sun and light and the master bedroom is very QUIET. It has beautiful panoramic views of the city. The location could not be better. Its walking distance to Recoleta, Santa Fe, Florida, Retiro. Barrio Norte/Recoleta, is the most sought out upscale and safest area in Buenos Aires. We had a professional interior designer furnish and decorate this apartment with designer furniture, original art work and new appliances. There is free High Speed Internet service. A cell phone is also provided.
The apartment has two bedrooms; a full bathroom and a half-bath. It is equipped with every amenity imaginable. Your rental includes cleaning once a week. Daily maid service is available for $15 extra a day.
As you exit the apartment you'll see to your right, the Four Seasons Hotel (You can book your sightseeing trips through their concierge and you can use their pool/spa/gym for their daily fee.) Walk two blocks up the street past the hotel and you'll be on Alvear Street. Lined with designer boutiques and beautiful French Style buildings, Alvear is the most prestigious address in Buenos Aires. Close by there is a spa, a bank, a hair salon and a farmacy and dozens of other stores and boutiques.
Walk five blocks on Alvear and you've arrived in Recoleta. Famous for its cemetery, its fine dinning restaurants and its night life, Recoleta is the most visited area in Buenos Aires. If you're up for shopping, you'll find "Patio Bullrich," the most beautiful mall in Buenos Aires, just a block away from the apartment. You're also walking distance from Plaza San Martin where Florida street, famous for its leather goods, begins. Parking is available across the street for an extra fee.
Across the street you'll find four of the best restaurants in town, including "El Mirasol," known for its great choice of Argentine beef. There is also a cafe, an Avis rent-a-car and a parking garage. Feel free to email me with questions. Our prices are lower because there is no agency involved!
I grew up in Buenos Aires and go back there at least once a year, and it will be a pleasure to help you enjoy this wonderful city. Best wishes, Oleh.

We spent several days in this apartment. We are a family of five, including 3 kids ages 14, 11 and 9. This place highly exceeded our expectations: location, amenities, maintenance..etc. Camila, the property manager is always on call in case you need something extra. There are so many good places to eat within walking distance, and buses, train station...all very near. So, you really do not need a car. We will definitely come back to this place. Thanks so much Oleh and Camila and apologies for this late review!
Owner response:Maria, thank you very much for your kind review. I am glad your family enjoied the visit and it was a pleasure to have you as guest in my apartment. Oleh

I travelled to Buenos Aires with my family and we had an excellent experience with this apartment. The location is great, full of restaurants and ATMs around. The property manager was very helpful and gave us all the information we needed. I recommend this property for any travellers in Buenos Aires.

A Lovely Apartment

My husband and I were fortunate to spend a month in this lovely apartment. The location was perfect for us, within walking distance to everything and safe and quiet at night. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were wonderful. There were plenty of good, thick towels. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, glassware and all necessary utensils. The apartment was very clean and there was always a doorman to greet us both coming and going at any hour. Camilla, the property manager, was a big help. She provided suggestions for restaurants our first day or so, gave us good advice regarding taxis and even helped us arrange transportation to the airport at the end of our stay. The owner of the property also checked in to make sure everything was satisfactory—an unexpected and appreciated touch. The only fly in the ointment was that the washer/dryer– a combination machine, did not really work properly. It would wash the clothes pretty well, but we were unable to dry any clothes. Since we were staying for a month, having laundry facilities was very much a deciding factor when selecting a rental, so we were a bit disappointed. That being said, everything else exceeded our expectations and we would certainly stay here again if it is available. We have already recommended it to our friends Tony & Kristy - Bellevue, Washington
Owner response:Tony & Kristy, I am very glad that you enjoyed the apartment and had a good time. Thank you for the suggestion and I will take care of the dryer problem. Oleh

This time only 2 weeks, but we spent 3 months here last year. Fantastic location, close to all important sites and in walking distance to the obelisco, the center of the city. Apartment is clean, has AC and heating and internet. We hope to be back next year, and though the building is one of the older ones on this block it is well maintained and clean. The restaurants right across from it are all very expensive, but the LIBER cafe around the corner has become our favorite hanging out place. They offer a full menu and waiters who will recognize you once you have been once. Don't miss the empanadas at Tradiciones Criollas, see sticker on refrigerator. Best ever empanadas made to order and delivered if you don't want to walk there Also make sure you visit the Museo Fernandez Blanco, it's 2 block away and offers weekly free classical music concerts as well as lovely small museum and house Fritz and Carmen
Owner response:Fritz and Carmen, I am very glad you enjoyed your stay in the apartment, and thank you very much for the great tips for future guests. I hope everything goes well with the operation. I am currently in Ukraine. Greetings from Kyiv, Oleh.

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending three nights in this Apartment, this past week in Buenos Aires. The location and amenities made us feel like we were home. It was very comfortable, safe, and the view was amazing. The description is accurate, the apartment is very clean, and Camilla was there when we arrived and gave us a terrific overview of the apartment and recommended some great restaraunts, which there are many within walking distance. Recolleta is a very charming and trendy part of the city, and you are in the heart of it if you stay here! The 4 Seasons hotel is right across the street, and the concierge is very helpful with help in navigating this huge city. If you stay here, you must try the Disco Supermarket, just a short walk away, very fun, amazing foods! What a great place, we will recommend to all our friends and you won't go wrong staying here! Thanks Oleh & Camilla, you made our stay a very memorable one!

Great location, very comfortable and spacious. View at night over the city from the apartment is mesmerizing. We had two children and they had plenty of room to play without us feeling crowded. Kitchen is fully equipped if you need to cook. Also very close to lots of restaurants and cafe's. You can walk pretty much anywhere in the center of the city from here. Very good value!

We’ve enjoyed living in Buenos Aires and getting to know the Argentine culture for five weeks during February 2007 and the first week of March 2007. This apartment has been a terrific base for us not only because it is comfortable and nicely decorated but because its location is so great. We appreciated close access to a variety of restaurants, shopping areas, and different kinds of transportation. It was also centrally located for walks to the nearby barrios. We would recommend the restaurants in the La Recova area, especially Juana M, as well as Liber and Posades Café. All are within one or two blocks of the apartment. We can also recommend several excellent one day trips from the city: Colonia, Uruguay via Buquebus, Tigre via the Coastal Train, and San Antonio de Areco via a bus from the Omnibus Station. Several days in Mendoza to visit wineries and travel into the Andes are a treat if you have the time. Thanks to Aileen and Camila for helping make our stay so enjoyable. We loved our stay in Buenos Aires! This apartment was excellent in every way and we would recommend it without hesitation.Galen and Marilyn HadleyKearney, NE

Being a native from Buenos Aires made the search for a good spot quite easy. I wanted a comfortable and well located place close to most points of interest (my wife is from the UK and my kids were made in the USA!). The apartment surpassed all our expectations and made our stay in Buenos Aires far more pleasant than we had anticipated. There are several good restaurants across the street. Plaza Mayor (spanish food-excellent seafood, fish, paella, the grilled octopus with chimichurri sauce is a must!), Parrilla El Mirasol (excellent steak house try the Provoleta with oregano as an appetizer), Piegari offers an extensive menu). Camila was very efficient and thorough. No complaints.

Thanks so very much for the suggestion of traveling to Buenas Aires in December. What a fabulous city! A bit like Nice and bit like Paris. We had a great time shopping the Recoletta and San Telmo markets. The location was perfect for walking around and seeing BA. Cabs were always available as soon as we stepped out the door to take us to Palermo. There were several restaurants across the street and fairly close that were wonderful. Camilla was terrific with any English/Spanish help we needed and with making sure everything in the apartment was in order. It was great to have such a lovely spot to call home during our stay in wonderful BA. Many thanks, Kathy Buda
Owner response:Dear Kathy, I recently bought this apartment from Aileen, and plan to continue her wonderful work helping people enjoy Buenos Aires. Thank you very much for graciously agreeing to publish again your comments about the apartment; it is very helpful. Regards, Oleh
