  The cabin was really nice and clean however you need a 4 wheel drive to get to the house without dragging bottom. We didn't have time to explore the grounds because of limited time and pre-planned commitments.

  Quite remote but great to get away from traffic & noise. A little difficult to get here in bad weather I suspect & wouldn't want to have to find this place in the dark! Close to all the area attractions so overall good location to stay. Price reasonable too.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

  Beautiful, spacious cabin in a woodsy setting. (You'll need 4 wheel drive if you try to go in the winter, though--road is steep, narrow, and windy!) Plenty of fresh sheets and towels for the comfy queen beds. Great kitchen with plenty of nice dinnerware and cooking tools. Large refrigerator, nice gas stove. Oven is small for a turkey dinner, but we worked around that with no problem by staging the cooking. Pretty furniture throughout the house (including a nice big dining room table and comfy leather sectional in the l.r.), but a little spartan on the decor. Would have loved to have a couple additional chairs in the l.r. and some rugs to warm up the look/feel a little. The cleaning crew did a good job in the bathrooms, but did not wipe (maybe ever!) behind objects on countertops in kitchens and there was more dirt in the corners and under the beds than I'd like in my own cabin! Owners are wonderful to deal with when you're arranging your stay.

  The photos do not do this property justice, it is even better than we thought. We were impressed by the cabin and the area it is located. The property is very clean and well maintained, the owner and property manager were great to deal with too. Our 2 year old loved the cabin, outdoors, and the games that were there. Wonderful local restaurants and hiking trails nearby. We will definitely be back.

  what a place in the mountain !!!!! we had so much fun . the house is beautiful ! so clean and updated. if anyone is looking for a quiet perfect place this is it. the trip to grandfather mountain was a blast. did see some restaurants nearby the property but we didnt have a chance to eat there , we were just content doing our own grilling on the patio while enjoying the sunshine. we will definitly be back !!!! this is an awesome place and is highly recommended.

  If you want to get away from it all, this is definitely the place. A home away from home in a very secluded area. All of our questions were answered and our needs promptly attended to by the property manager. We very much appreciated the pet friendly home and all of us had a great time. We will be back!

  we absolutely loved the house!!!! Didn't want to leave to go home... The house is very clean, has everything we needed and even more.... The property manager was very helpful guiding us to the address sinse our GPS failed to work in the mountains. Will definitely recommend this house to our friends.
