Hike the North Face Trail which starts right from the Alyeska Resort. For the more active, hike the trail up and rest on the way down by catching a complimentary scenic tram ride. For the rest of us, get a ticket for the scenic tram and take the North Face trail down at your own pace. Sea Kayaking in Prince William Sound - Just 25 miles from Alyeska and separated by a 2.5 mile one-way tunnel, Whittier is the gateway to Prince William Sound. Once a popular port of call, and a former military facility, glacier and wildlife cruises and kayaking tours depart from Whittier daily in the summer season. We had a very comfortable, enjoyable week's stay in this cozy condo. The condo was comfortable and nicely updated and we loved how close it was to the lifts. It was all the space we needed and having a kitchen for some home-cooked meals was so nice. Thanks so much for letting us stay!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful condo with us. Convenient location and plenty of room. My teenage boys loved it. Nice to have a kitchen. The jet tub was a great way to end the day! We had a great trip to Alyeska, and were really pleased with the condo. The closest lift services the bunny hill and the terrain park, which was perfect for the kids. When we needed a break, we could go home and they could walk back up and lap the park. Beds were comfy, and the condo had everything we needed. Awesome location that you can ski in/ out of. It was very convenient & the kitchen was outstanding. The only downside was the bed was poor (seemed to maybe be a feather tick mattress). Overall the condo was a great one that I'd consider staying at again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The mattress you are referring was actually an older tempurpedic that we just replaced with a brand new tempurpedic on New Years weekend 12/31 when we were able to enjoy our condo for a few days. Being from the Anchorage area I have taken many day trips to Girdwood and this time I wanted a weekend getaway. This was the perfect place. The location was just where I wanted and the pictures are exactly what you get, and could not ask for more. Skiing, restaurants, bars, and coffee shops all walking distance. Also, the renter was very helpful and if I had not been from the area the information they left in the rental would of been very helpful to make sure I enjoyed my stay and did not miss any of the sites or activities in Girdwood and surrounding areas. I will use this little get away again because, I love going to Girdwood and this is perfect.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Clean, cozy and comfortable. Nicely furnished. Easy access to ski lifts. Perfect location in Girdwood - close to restaurants, hiking and other activities. Only negative was a shortage of hot water in the shower. Could have been a temporary issue. I recommend breakfast at the Bake Shop, lunch/dinner at Chair Five. I will, most definately, try to book for my next getaway.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This was JUST what we were hoping for on our ski trip to Alyeska, the condo was cozy and warm yet roomy, we LOVED sitting around the fireplace after skiing and it was great being able to walk to the lift-and ski right to the condo. The place was everything we were expecting, and the owner's description is accurate. Everything is very new and clean and functional. 3 can sleep comfortably, 4 would be okay but crowded, 5 would be a stretch.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.
