  Highly recommended - apartment was as described so quite pleasant - the parking facilities were fully tested and I always found an on the street space despite the holiday and weekend - within easy driving of all that Queens has to offer:

  My friend and I stayed at this condo for 5 nights. Phoned Ghias when we arrived at the subway. He kindly came and picked us up. When we arrived I asked about the TV. He tried it but it was not working.. Returned that evening with a friend but it still did not work. Finally when we were out on Saturday it was fixed. There was no TV in the Master bedroom.as advertised. I mentioed that the F line subway did not go directly to Times Square as stated in the advert. If you wanted to go to Times square you had either to take the subway to 42 street Bryant Park stop and either walk or take another subway, It took at least 40-45 minutes to get to 42 st. We went to the Metropolitan Opera at the Lincoln Centre. We had to change trains several times and it took almost 1 1/2 hours. The condo was clean and well decorated. Met several very friendly people in the elavator. I would suggest that more towels be left for guests. We only had one dishtowel in the kitchen and one hand towel in the 2 piece washroom but none in the 4 piece washroom.. There were 4 bath towels for the 2 of us for 5 nights. Had to rinse through the dishtowel and hand towel every other day and reuse the bath towels which we would never do at home. We had brought packages of porridge with us and were surprised that there were no bowels. We went to the dollar store and bought 2. The condo was very handy for shopping. The Chinese restaurant and Pizza place on Hillside were very good. The Key supermarket was only a 5 minute walk away. Burger King and McDonalds were also very close. I was pleased that there was a beautiful Catholic church close by called the Immaculate Conception. You just crossed the road and went to the left and up a small hill. As well as going to the Opera we went to see a play called Glengarry Glen Ross with Al Pacino. The Cloisters is a very interesting museum. The walk from the subway through the Tyrone Park is lovely with lots of benches.. There is also a bus from the subway which only takes a couple of minutes. Again it took about 1 1/2 hours to get there as we had to change subways several times.. Have been to New York several times so have previously visited lots of museums in Manhattan. I would recomend this property because of its cleanliness, decor and comfortable beds . Ghias was very helpful. Personally if I had known that everything that we wanted to see would take so long to get to I would not have booked it.

  The unit was spacious and clean. Ghias was very helpful and attentive, took care of any problems quickly. Location was great for us, 10 minutes to US Open tennis, 30 minute direct train to 42nd Street. There is street parking but you have to get lucky, but there is a parking garage around the corner. Would definitely recommend to friends, and I will be back.

  Great stay! Not only the apartment is immaculate and well-stocked, it was spacious and comfortable to live in. It is located in a safe neighborhood, around the block from the subway with many restaurants, bank and grocery market right next to it. Our stay was made even more pleasurable because of the wonderful service provided by Ghias. He couldn't have been more accommodating and empathetic. He was always there if we needed him and extremely professional and nice to deal with. This rental is a gem and we will always hold very fond memories of our time there. You won't be disappointed!

  We are 3 couples in our early 40s. Ghias was very organized and contacted us a week ahead of arrival. Upon arrival at the property we were met by Ghias who graciously toured us through the neighbourhood showing us some great restaurants, delis, bakeries,and even stopped at a store while we grabbed some drinks. Now that's over and above! All are easy walking distance.The Italian restaurant we visited on our first night is amazing. The home was very recently rennovated and is as described. Each day we walked to the nearby subway station and headed for Times Square. From there we found it easy to get around by subway. In our 4 days, we did Hop on/ Hop off Tour, Top of the Rock, WTC, Chicago (Broadway), Grimaldis Pizza across Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, 5th Street, Time Square, Little Italy, Chinatown, a sunset cruise, Pier 17 and more. At the end of each day I enjoyed a cigar and a whiskey in the very nice and private backyard in Queens. I highly recommend a stay in Aamir's vacation rental for a full New York experience. Staying there allowed us to feel the culture of a Queens suburb and the friendlines and pride of New Yorkers anxious to suggest places to go and see. Thanks Ghias!   Parking is on street and hard to find, especially Monday Tuesday where street sweeps, in which case there is only one side can be parked between 10:30AM and 12PM, we were forced to drive in Manhattan for one day (which was surprisingly not too bad). Neighborhood stores are basically dollar stores without air conditioning (only fans) so if you are used to a suburban living you may not feel very comfortable. Subway station is very close, but it takes more than 20 min to get midtown. To Statue of Liberty the subway ride is about 1 hr 10 min which included on ground walk transfer. The rooms are in reasonably good condition. As other reviewer mentioned, air conditioner is old and VERY noisy, and there is no blind on the glass door in living room. Shower is a bit hard to figure out. The bunker bed is not for small children cause it has a very low edge, with the risk of falling down, so do not count for it unless your child is old enough to sleep still. WIFI signal is weak and slow even right near the modem/router at TV console. If you do driving to downtown, 59th(queensboro) bridge is toll free, just drive along queens blvd to get there. You can find free (yes, free) on-street parking along central park if you read signs carefully. You odds are better if the street sweeps that day and you arrive just after the sweep time window. Overall it is a good place for a short stay if you have right expectation. Do not expect it to be a "luxury" getaway or anything.

  I and my 2 dauthers, Jessica & Jasmin are thrilled to be in this apartment for our short 2 weeks vacation. We were dissapointed seeing one of the reviews that noice with the aircondition and cable TV, but we found the air conditions are running with any noice the owner might fixed them. We are very happy that the apartment is well decorated with modern furnintures, and all the equipments are new and the building and the apartment is very neat and clean. Our daughters like the most the views from the balcony and Macdonalds& KFC within 3 blocks. Subway with in one and half block from the apartment. We did not need to take any taxi neighter any cars to tavel to anywhere in the City, but trains run late during the weekends. We found train runs of during the weekdays. Laundry (washer & dryers) are very new and they are located right in the celler. The entrance to the apartment has camare view before you let anyone buss in. The apartment is very specious and we are happy to be in the apartment. We definately looking forward staying for our next visit.

  Upon my arrival I was greeted by ghias nice guy he showed me around the aparment gave me the keys and went on his way. He was hit and miss as far as being accommodating. I called about the cable not working his answer to that was call time warner I don't have any of the account information so I had no way of getting help luckily my husband is tech savvy and figured out the problem. My first issue was parking when you arrive somewhere the last thing you want to do is spend an hour looking for parking especially when you have small children. we went out to eat the first night upon return it took us 30 mins to find parking 3 blocks away with sleepy children not fun. my second issue the a/c in the master bedroom was very noisy so noisy that we had to turn it off to fall asleep in turn we were very uncomfortable sleeping because it was of course hot. So back on it went to cool off the room but again hard to sleep with a loud clinging noise at your bedside. Last but not least the deal breaker that prompted me to write this review so quickly the shower is broken to come in from a long day and fight with a shower was not ideal at all!!!! Also if you are a very private person there are no window coverings on the door in the living room nor the window in the master bathroom which I did not like. The bathroom where the shower is located is across from a big open window not my cup of tea. There is no WIFI in the apartment it belongs to the building so if your using your own laptop in order to connect to it you need the pin from the router that you do not have access to nor does ghias his answer was my phone connects to it. Overall this place is not what I expected and I would not recommend it for a family. I only gave it two stars because it was decorated nicely but that's all it has to offer in my opinion.

  This lovely, clean apartment on the 5th Floor, with a very nice elevator, is just as shown in pictures. A taxi from La Guardia airport cost $21, and took 10 minutes. Very convenient. The owner, Ghias, is quite accomodating, & even purchased a new hair dryer for my use while there. The kitchen has modern hardware, a microwave, toaster, etc; all look new. All cooking & dining utensils are provided. Lots of cabinet space. Bring your own condiments, paper towels, napkins, dishwashing machine soap and you're all set for the week. There is a small table with chairs on which to dine, play card games, etc. The balcony/views are not much, but the apartment is situated in a pleasant, safe neighborhood & the F train is literally around the corner (it's the last/first stop, Jamaica Hills/179th St. Hillside Ave. station) The ride to NYC takes between 40 to 60 minutes depending on what area you intend to visit. You'll need to purchase a refillable Metro Card at the station. The train is $2.25 one way, per person. There is a half bath in the Master bedroom, and a full bath opposite the kitchen. The air conditioning systems in each room are fairly loud, but the noise from the Master bedroom unit was almost intolerable. Ghias was very willing to address this, and will fix it for the next guest. My schedule was too tight to allow him time to do it during my stay. The trash room is on the same floor, which was convenient. The washing machines are in the basement & require the purchase of a card to use, so I did not. But it is convenient to have the option available. There is ample street parking, but cars must be moved at certain times on certain days, so those with cars should be prepared for this. The apartment was perfect for me and my girlfriend and sister, who each stayed a few days. A family of four, or two couples would be comfortable in this cozy home away from home. There is a supermarket very nearby, a dollar store, lots of fast food places, and a sweet little pizza place around the corner on Hillside Avenue, also serving italian pasta dishes, which I enjoyed. I left their brochure. I believe they even deliver. If you want elegant dining however, you'll need a car, as we found none nearby. Advice: eat in city, bring back leftovers or takeout. All in all, while not luxurious, or in a fancy neighborhood, this apartment is a very conveniently located, safe, clean, comfortable place to stay while visiting the Big Apple. I recommend it highly.

  We live in New York and our in-laws came over to visit us and we rented this wonderful place from VRBO. The space was perfect for accommodating the 6 of us, the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of individual privacy when needed; the kitchen and supplies were perfect for us; and the spacious bathroom a delightful surprise. It worked perfect for those of us who get up at different times in the morning so we could enjoy breakfasts and sometimes evening meals here at the apartment. The train was a short walk away and we quickly connected to downtown/midtown/uptown Manhattan as needed. The area is very safe and close to everything. There are plenty of options for groceries and great restaurants nearby. We'll be going back! The owner is also very welcoming and helpful - he is the best! I highly recommend you consider this as a first choice when going to New York
