This was our 5th year to gather in Red River for a reunion of family and friends. What better place to stay than Dream Catchers? We are all able to stay together in one place and enjoy home-cooked meals and happy hour on the deck yet close enough to town and country that folks can choose to do their own thing. The owners have given great attention to detail to provide every comfort of home. This is a great place to stay.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities.
Owner response: Thank you, Cheryl, for your comment. That warms our hearts. Please come back for year number 6!

My husband and I have chosen “Dream Catchers” on several occasions. The home - I can’t call it a house because it feels more like home – has everything one could ask for including a full kitchen and all the amenities you would dream of finding in a lovely place like this one. We always share it with other friends and family because it is so spacious and is such a great place to vacation and visit with those you love. Though all bathrooms are great, everyone fights over the wonderful shower on the first floor - you have to experience it to know! We have rented many places across the US and I can truly say this is the best bargain we have found. Since we are getting up in age, our favorite past time is sitting on the comfortable deck where we look at the mountains and listen to the stream as it flows by the home. What a peaceful place the “Dream Catcher” is for us.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities.

My husband and I try to come stay at Dream Catcher once a year without the "busy-ness" of our life with our kids. He is a golf-lover, and it is fairly close to golf courses at Angel Fire and Taos. After we play golf, we sit on the porch with a beer and enjoy the scenery. Because we come at a time of the year that is generally slow in Red River, we've sat in the living room and watched a family of deer pass through the yard on several occasions. We love the quietness of the house and surrounding area, and the close proximity to shopping, restaurants and activities in town. Dream Catcher has everything that a big--or small--family would need in order to have a perfect vacation; it is well worth the rental price!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities.
Owner response: We hope you and your husband both shave off a few strokes after having relaxed at our home. Best wishes for lower scores and cool times in Red River and the surrounding areas. We hope you will choose our home during future visits.

My family and I have been coming to Red River for years and years and years and have stayed at many places, and Dream Catcher is by far our favorite! It's an easy walk to town, close to the river, and a beautiful place to sit outside and just do nothing, or get up and go find something fun to do. The house is spacious enough for more than one family, which makes it a bargain! And it has everything that one would need to feel right at home. I would recommend this highly.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you for choosing our Dream Catcher home. We hope to maintain the comfort and welcoming environment so you'll choose our home again!

This is a beautiful house! Lots of room, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. It is a great place to enjoy the cool mountains and vacation (whether that is reading, hiking, fishing, etc.! It is all right there!) There is a group of us ( usually 9 or 10) that try to go every summer. We spend lots of time on the patio where you can walk a few steps to the river for fishing or just sit and share stories and laughs with friends and family. We love watching the many hummingbirds, some deer and even an occasional bear.We will definitely choose the Dream Catcher every summer - cannot be beat!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: Yours is a large group and we're thrilled you find our home comfortable with this many people. We can accommodate a few more so if you have more from the Arlington area, bring 'em on! We'll welcome them, too!

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2003
About the owner: We both are retired and live in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. We enjoy spending time with family and friends, participating in church activities, and watching sports events, especially the Texas Rangers. We have two children, one grandson, and four nephews whom we believe are really ours. We all enjoy spending time in Red River!
Why the Owner Chose Red River:
We first visited Red River in 1996, hoping to help heal dad's broken heart after mom's passing. We found it to be a place of beauty, comfort, and rejuvenation and have missed vacationing in RR only one summer since then. In 2003, we bought this home, naming it Dream Catcher which is a symbol of pleasant experiences in Matt's Native American culture. We continue to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the mountain surroundings along with the fun and family-oriented activities in the town of Red River.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
From our river-side porch, we enjoy the daily visits of deer, hummingbirds, and other varieties of wildlife AND an occasional night-time visit by bears or other nocturnal creatures! Just steps away from the deck is the river (stocked with rainbow and brown trout) where kids of all ages and sizes have landed 'big' fish. Ski slopes, hiking trails, dining and shopping are an easy walk from our front door. (Shuttle transportation is provided by the town for those who prefer to ride.) We often park our car upon arrival where it remains unless we choose to travel to Taos or other neighboring attractions. Because Dream Catcher can so comfortably accommodate large crowds, it has been the site for Taylor family reunions every summer since 2003.
