Start your morning with kona coffee watching the sunrise over Maui from the beachside gazebo. View the ancient fish ponds and waves breaking on the reef.. In the winter months whales breach beyond these breakers. Take a morning dip or a lazy beach walk. Shower off the salt and sand in the outside shower. The day ahead is yours to fill. Lounge in the large yard or travel the roads to see the sights.
As evening comes, barbeque and picnic in the yard and then return to the gazebo for the late flight of birds returning to the shore.
This is the place to relax and breath deeply..

If you enjoy simple pleasures, book this house. You will not be disappointed. The house, the landscaping and the property were all well appointed, added to that was the beautiful oceanfront views of Maui and Lanai. We have stayed at several VRBO rentals on Kauai and Molokai and this house was by far the best for the two of us. It would also be good for young families. From the first inquiry to the clean out everything was thoughtfully considered. Marty will share "sage" advice about her experiences on Molokai and will lead you to the "best" adventures. Have fun!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

What a fantastic spot. A touch of paradise at your fingertips. We have already spread the word to friends and relatives to make sure Molokai is on their "must-do" travel list. We hiked, swam, drove to the far reaches of the west, east, north and south of the island. I don't think one road was left un-discovered. The twisty & windy road to Halawa was well worth the trip, and the hike down to Kaulapapa was spectacular. Saturday markets were so much fun, and the locals are soooo friendly & helpful. The best part of the entire trip however was our accommodations. They exceeded our expectations. With four adults to share space it is sometimes a challenge, but NOT this home. It was perfect! close to the water, huge yard, great views, gazebo for morning coffee & lunch time snacks, having a washing machine right on sight was a huge bonus. Saw lots of whales on the ferry boat that got us from Maui to Molokai, however, next time I think we will fly as the water was pretty rough, and my husband is a true "land-lubber". Friends are already planning their trip to this superb rental home.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I request a 50% deposit to hold a date. This deposit is refundable less $35.00 if I am notified of your wish to cancel at least 45 days before you are scheduledto arrive. Otherwise the balance is due 45 days prior to arrival. If your redquest to book is made with less than 45 days to the arrival date the entire amount is required.
Additional Fees and Taxes:
In addition there is a 13.25 % Hawaii tax to be included in the total cost.
There is a $100.00 out cleaning fee as well to be paid upon departure.

About: Len and I built the first phase of our cottage in 1976 when our first two children were 4 and 5, We have been returning to Molokai to spend a month or more each year since then. . In 2002 we renovated the house for the third time. Our youngest daughter was married in the gazebo in 2005. Our family now joins us each year to celebrate the holidays and enjoy the sun and the sea. It is a great break from Alaska winters. We all feel very much at home here..
Why Waialua:
Our family has always enjoyed the ocean and beach life. We love to fish, swim and relax by the shore. Hawaii gives us a break from the Alaskan winters and renews our energy so returning is always a joy.
