  The condo had a great location and was very functional for our trip. A crib and high chair were provided for our son which was very helpful. The knives were very dull in kitchen which was inconvenient and the vacuum hardly worked either so those need replacing. I'd also recommend a second key to the condo so that guests can separate if they choose and still have access into condo. The balcony was a great place to sit and relax. We had to call the owners for a question one time and they were very helpful.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.

  Overall our stay was good. We were disappointed at the level of cleanliness upon entering the unit. The bathrooms looked like they hadnt been cleaned. Everything felt dusty and there was dust and food left behind the lounge chair. The towels were marked which was ashame as they were white and were cleaner after we washed them all. On the positive we had a problem with the insinkerator and the owner was lovely, prompt with getting the problem fixed and we appreciated this very much. the views were lovely expecially at sunset. We loved our time in Hawaii and would love to come again.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway.

  I rented this condo in May 2012. We stayed 2 nights and moved elsewhere - losing the full cost we had paid for it. It was NOT spectacular, luxurious and does not have a panoramic view - it's a peek-a-boo view. The condo was not clean, the living room is not spacious. The bathrooms are high steps up from the bedrooms - one has a hanging curtain for a door. The bedrooms are called "suites" - please don't be fooled - the pictures are very deceptive. I have rented many, many homes from VRBO and this is the first disaster. Please look elsewhere.

  We rented this 2br apartment for a week in which my wife's mother was to join us for 5 days in the other bedroom. It really is an outstanding location: directly across the street from the Wakiki Prince Hotel, meaning it is a five minute walk in one direction to the Ala Moana Shopping Mall, and five minutes in the other direction to Waikiki Beach. The kitchen is absolutely gorgeous and well appointed with a five burner glass cook-top, microwave and oven, full sized fridge, washer/dryer and plenty of counter and cabinet space. The 2 full baths also helps with privacy and makes each bedroom feel like the master bedroom. The generous lanai overlooks Ala Moana Blvd, with nice views of the harbor from the 11th floor. The place was spotless when we arrived (less so when we left, with apologies for our rush to the airport) with access and exit as simple as can be. The owners are available if you need them, but invisible if you don't.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

  My husband and I stayed here with our son, daughter-in-law and three month old baby. We were there for 19 days and found that it offered all the amenities of home. It is a well laid out condo which allows for complete privacy between the two bedrooms and bathrooms. Comfy furniture and great chairs for the balcony. The kitchen is lovely and the fridge, stove, microwave very clean. We found the Keurig coffee maker handy to have. We LOVED the washer/dryer and made good use of it with the baby. We never had a long wait for the elevator and felt that the security system was excellent. Owners live right on the island and were good to respond when we had requests. We suggested a small vacuum would be handy to have for the area rug and they bought one and brought it over that day (along with more bowls and storage containers as suggested). I see that the other review suggested blinds. We loved the open view and there is no real need for privacy on the 11 th floor. Only reason one would want blinds is so they can see the tv better (which is a pathetic way to spend your time in Hawaii). Instructions for arriving and leaving the condo were clear and easy to follow. Location is the best as you can walk to many places from here. Definitely a place to return to!

  My husband and I had the luxury of being the first to rent this condo. With this, there are definite pro's and con's. The condo itself is absolutely beautiful. Everything has been updated - including the stainless steel fridge, stove, front-loader washer and dryer, beautiful flat-screen TV - we even had to take price tags off of some of the furniture. :) The location of the condo is quite nice as well. You are within walking distance from the Ala Moana Shopping Mall - and only minutes from downtown Waikiki. Now, the only downfalls were primarily not the fault of the owners of this condo. During our stay there was extremely loud construction 24 hours per day. It was horrible and made for many sleepless nights. The construction on the street directly outside of the condo began at 8:00pm and did not end until around 7:00am - however more construction took place throughout the day at the hotel across the street. We stayed at the condo for just over a month and we were told by neighbours etc that the construction had been going on for several months and was to continue for several more months (however we never confirmed this with City staff.) We would only have a couple of minor suggestions for the owners - who, by the way, were incredibly kind, accommodating and easy to reach if needed - curtains on the big bay window would not only keep the condo cooler during the day, they would also give some privacy at night. We felt that the kitchen needed just a couple of every-day things such as; a pizza cutter, small bowls for dip etc, sharp knives (including a bread knife and paring knives etc) - otherwise it really was fully stocked. Even with the construction, we would recommend this condo to anyone who is looking for a modern and comfortable rental in Waikiki. And we thank the owners for being so wonderful.

  Owner response: Thank you for your comments - we appreciate all feedback as it is a wonderful way for us to make sure we keep up the needs of our guests:) We have now purchased additional knives and a pizza cutter to ensure our kitchen has everything you need. Personally, we never wanted to close out the fabulous view of the marina and beaches, but your suggestion is a valid one, so we have ordered custom blinds which will be installed in due course. The construction you mentioned is, unfortunately, ISLAND WIDE at this time, and not in our control. It is part of the Hawaii Beautification Plan which has been "fast-tracked" due to the upcoming APEC conference (Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation) which is being hosted in Honolulu in two weeks. The APE C conference will be bringing President Obama and many world leaders to our city. The construction should be COMPLETED before the commencement of the APEC conference. Please note, anyone who is visiting Honolulu during the conference period (Nov. 7-13) should expect heightened security, road closures, increased traffic, flight delays - (inbound and outbound) and general inconveniences. Again, we are sorry about this, but it is out of our control and effects residents and visitors alike. We would like to stress that we live on Island, and are available if you have any questions or concerns during your stay with us.
