What a joy it was to stay in Britton House again this year! Last summer, it was the perfect homebase for an active family reunion. From there we explored the many treasures of Highlands and the surrounding area. This year, my husband and I returned for a bit of quiet time alone. This peaceful house was just right for walks, naps, tea on the deck and spectacular views of the nighttime sky. With comfortable beds, welcoming living spaces and a well appointed kitchen, the house has everything we hoped for. Britton House provides all the comforts of home in a resort setting. We will definitely return, and recommend this beautiful house!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

We enjoyed our stay at the Britton House. The house had everything we needed. The large living room with our nightly fire in the wood burning fireplace provided a very delightful place. Both the mounatin range view from the living room and deck by day and the sunsets by night glowing in the mountains were gorgeous. We loved getting away from the Florida heat and breathing in the cool mountain air. In just a few minutes we could be in the charming town of Highlands having lunch at the gourmet grocery store or dinner at the Ugly Dog Pub. Our favorite dinner spot was Wild Thyme.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing.

Everything has been thought of to make our stay enjoyable. We came to escape the heat and the weather has cooperated. Such a lovely spot for a cottage nestled on a hillside. We hope to return.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The view is amazing. The neighborhood is quiet and secluded. The house is clean and well appointed - has everything we needed: corkscrew and wine glasses. The nicest touch was the bottle of sparking wine that Lori gave us!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.
