We searched for a villa that could house our entire family for our wedding weekend and everyone was blown away by this place. The level of quality of the villa far exceeds the website pictures and the location is serene amongst the hills and wilderness. The quality of furnishings and layout of the chateau is very nice. Bedrooms are all well sized with huge beds and the master bedroom is spectacular. We enjoyed the fire pit on the patio and hammock. The 2 heads up for future travelers is the bottom bedroom does not have a true door to it so it can be loud. The location is exactly what we wanted but definitely off the beaten patch, a good 15min from Cloverdale downtown for supplies. The villa is incredibly well stocked in the kitchen with all plates, wine glasses, utensils etc along with tons of towels and nice Whole Foods bath products in the baths. I highly recommend this spot. It definitely exudes sophistication and will not disappoint.

Great experience renting this Chateau. The place was very nice and clean. The contact person was very helpful with questions and booking. The house is located in a nice secluded area away for a nice stay in a nicely furnished house. It is alittle harder to get to, but well worth it. We would definitely stay again.

I was simply blown away by this house, and I must thank the owner for providing such a beautifully decorated and organized house. We booked this house for a weekend getaway for 12 through this site for the first time and were not disappointed. When we first arrived, I couldn't help but think "Is this real"? The house is a mansion with plenty of space, two decks, an enormous kitchen, and the best open views of wine country I had ever seen. We spent our time taking the short drive to wineries (with a sober driver), cooking, BBQing, hiking, and just relaxing in the back yard taking in all that nature had to offer. When not hanging out with everyone I had a little alone time relaxing in the upstairs Jacuzzi and taking a bubble bath. I would recommend this rental to anyone and everyone.

We rented the property for our visit at the Alexander Food and Wine Affair...the property was nice but a couple of items should have been disclosed.....First when we arrived the Fire Alarm System was activated due to the batteries in the smoke detectors....we called the number provided and he told me to get the ladder in the garage and basiically take care of the problem myself, which luckyly I was aomewhat familiar with the system so it only took 45 minutes to get the alarms off in the house. There wasn't a microwave nor stereo for our CD's. The home was nice as I said but it really needs some tlc....When you charge top dollar for a rental it should be cleaned and all systems tested the day of the rental and not leave it for the buyer to put a bandaid on the problems......I will need a lot more info on a property prior to using your services again.....we visit the area every year and I would not reccomend this property or use it again

Owner response: Thank you for the four star review. Chateau de Sevres is a highly-rated destination and for good reason. We strive to provide discriminating travelers with the very best value in luxury wine country accommodations and our guests have spoken. We always appreciate what guests have to say about our beautiful Chateau. We listen carefully and constantly implement improvements. However, as with any product or service, it may be impossible to please all of the people all of the time. We're sorry to hear this guest arrived to the sound of a smoke detector. It was an event beyond our control. We found the circuit had been accidentally tripped by an electrician who checked our systems just an hour before arrival. For the sake of expediency, we suggested to remove the battery from the offending alarm, instead of enduring it for the time needed to arrive on site. It's a country setting and would have taken much longer than simply removing a battery. The guest agreed and the issue was resolved. Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. To address the other comments, although we do not provide a microwave oven, we do offer a huge list of other amenities including a CD stereo system. Our flat panel TV's feature built-in DVD players that also play music CD's. In addition, all bedrooms feature clock radios with iPod inputs. Please refer to our long list of other amenities located here on VRBO. As always, potential guests are advised to read several or more reviews to gain a broader understanding of our quality, atmosphere, location, amenities, value and overall guest experience. A big THANK YOU to all of our guests: past, present and future. We look forward to your next stay with us here at Chateau de Sevres. Cheers!

Overall we were very pleased with our stay at the Chateau. We found the setting beautiful in all ways. The Chateau itself is lovely and the view from virtually all directions is absolutely breathtaking. We did have some trouble following the map and actually finding the Chateau but we were not familiar with the area and perhaps that had something to do with our confusion. An ant problem in the kitchen was a concern but it was quickly attended to by the owners and did not ultimately cause any real problems for us. We were disappointed to find a wad of gum stuck to surface of the bathroom counter upstairs, indicating that the counters had not been carefully cleaned. That particular bathroom also had other indicators that led us to believe that a more thorough cleaning was necessary. The rest of the Chateau seemed very neat and clean and we did enjoy our stay. It was great for our whole family to be able to stay together while we celebrated a family wedding at a local vineyard.

Owner response: We're glad you enjoyed our beautiful home and fantastic views. Please know that we have taken steps to ensure every room of the Chateau is cleaned to perfection and prepared for every guest upon arrival. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

When we arrived, we were in awe, we kept exclaiming as we walked into each room. And I'm not the type to be easily impressed. The chateau is sprawling, it feels open and full of light, with a comfortable elegance that comes with taste, practicality, and a lack of misplaced pretension. The structure feels like a Spanish villa, the decor has a great mix of old country antique, rustic industrial, and overall natural--materials are visible, sturdy, and well used. The kitchen is beautiful and all appliances work excellently. There is more than plenty of seating space in the couch/living areas as well as the gorgeous long dining table in the dining room, surrounded by French doors to the patio. The bedrooms are well furnished and lovely, we all slept very comfortably (we had ten adults total), and the bathrooms beautiful and very practical in layout. The back patio is the jewel, especially at night, and the photos on VRBO don't do it justice. There are several patio tables and chairs, two rocking, and a hammock. The chateau also has a fire pit in which we built a fire in the evening, wildlife came and went on the lawn around us, and we didn't want to leave.

This is a lovely chateau - and it is even nicer than the pictures depict! This is a huge home and even with 9 people we weren't cramped. The master suite is beautiful, spacious, and HUGE! There are a total of 5 bedrooms, but 2 are very small and don't have closets. The bathrooms are nice, modern, and well appointed. The house was clean and comfortable. If you have a large group, seating in the living room and family room will be a challenge. We never did see the microwave listed, but all other things in the listing are accurate. While not noted in the listing, the owners prefer you to not wear shoes in the house. Curtis, the property manager was great to deal with, and was always available when we needed him - which was only once! The notebook in the house is very helpful and contains all sorts of information. We wish there were a grill, but understand that the owners don't want to allow grilling. There were a few things that needed attention - garage door opener did not work, several lights were out, dishwashing liquid was almost out. Nothing major ... just some things to check when you arrive. While the chateau is off the beaten path, you are close to wineries, restaurants etc in Healdsburg, Cloverdale, etc. Don't miss Williamson Wineries just off the square in Healdsburg. You will enjoy the wine, the pairings, and the owner. It was a blast. The best restaurant was Dry Creek Kitchens. You will need reservations. And for the most classy and wonderful wine tasting, visit Jordan Winery. Breathtakingly beautiful - get your reservations early. We would definitely stay at this property again!!

We stayed at the Chateau for a weekend of wine tasting in the Healdsburg and surrounding areas. Five couples. We had a wonderful time. The house was well equipt. Very clean. It was nice to have meals at the huge dining room table. The views both day and night were amazing. There are only three things that i would recommend to the owner. A bigger television, more seating in the living room (tv room), and a BBQ. Everything else wonderful. All five couples would recommend this property. Thank you again for sharing.
