We rented this house to celebrate a 30th birthday with a group of friends and we could not be more pleased with our experience! The view is incredible and the home is spacious with every amenity you could need. Everyone in our party was blown away by our first walk-through of the home - it is even better than the pictures. The location is pretty much perfect if you're hoping to visit both Napa and Sonoma Valley wineries during your stay. When we return to wine country we will definitely stay here again!

The house is beyond spectacular. Wraparound distant valley views, spacious and very cool layout, tons of space, good WiFi and giant TV, very well-stocked kitchen, easy-to-use, warm pool that the kids went nuts over! On our first morning--a Saturday, and our wedding day--we were awakened at 7:20am by the sound of a gas-powered weed whacker outside our bedroom window. We asked the gardener to stop; the property caretaker was insistent that the gardener continue. We finally called the owner, who was aghast and apologetic and made the problem go away. There was no hot water for showers for the first two days. When the owner finally returned our call, she was, once again, deeply apologetic. She sent the propane company over to rectify the problem immediately, she offered us a late checkout, and treated our entire wedding party to drinks at the restaurant where she knew we were having brunch. That was a wonderful gesture. Assuming you don't run into these unfortunate one-time events, and as long as you don't mind the 10-minute, steep, winding road up and down the mountain, you'll absolutely love this place.

Owner response: Congratulations again on your wedding! It is rare that anything ever goes awry with this property so THANK YOU for mentioning how quickly we responded once we found out there was an issue – and it was our pleasure to set your party up with drinks the next day : ) To clarify one point, you said there was no hot water for two days but unfortunately you didn’t call us until the middle of the second day . . . we would have been able to fix it immediately if we had known sooner. To our future renters: as we state in the contract and in all our communications, if you ever need us for any reason you have the home AND cell phone numbers for two different people (including the owner) who are there to help make your stay nothing short of amazing. Thanks again and happy summer!

Treat yourself and rent this home -- its wonderful. Yes, it's a steep and winding drive up to the property, but so worth it. Four large bedrooms with ensuite baths, well stocked gourmet kitchen for group cooking and a large deck with the best sunset view in the valley. Taste during the day and treat yourself to a relaxing bottle on the deck as the evening slips away. This property will make your trip to Sonoma even more memorable.

I really don't want to say how amazing this place is for fear of not being able to get it for next year. We stayed with 4 couples, tons of room, amazing view, patio was to die for so don't schedule late tastings!! We will be back!

This property exceeded our expectations. Pictures on VRBO are only the beginning. At the top of the mountain with incredible views of the Valley of the Moon for sunset, moon rise and moon set in the morning. We had two families with 5 members in each. The house sets up perfect with separate wings for each family. The living area of the home is open concept with great amenities. The property was clean, sell appointed with all the necessary kitchen items to prepare meals for the group and enjoy the local wine. The owner was helpful and responsive. The location requires a switchback drive up the mountain but well worth it as Trinity Road turns into the Oakville Grade and takes you directly over to Napa from Sonoma. A definite return is in order and i would enthusiastically recommend to friends.

We had the incredible pleasure of staying atop Trinity Mountain. The home is beautiful, and perfect for 4 couples with 4 bedrooms, each with it's own private bath. The kitchen/living area complete with the 70" TV was the perfect place for couples to lounge and enjoy meals. Our favorite thing was to be back at the house in time to watch the gorgeous sunsets from the wonderful deck. It was as if the sunset was there for our exclusive enjoyment. This home is beautiful and well kept. The only thing to keep in mind is that the narrow, winding road up the mountain to this beautiful retreat is not for the faint of heart. We all felt this was the most beautiful, restful, peaceful home we have ever vacationed at. Now that we have returned home, viewing the wonderful, scenic pictures captured from this beautiful vacation home brings us back to that "Happy Place".

This is an AMAZING property. It is true the pictures do not do it justice. The view is insane. We watched sunrises, sunsets and the stars on the deck and couldnt have been happier. The house was well stocked. Sure the furnishings may not be über luxury but You will not even notice. The owner was so helpful in answering questions, providing a quick deposit back after our departure and more than enough info so we could get around! Thank you for an amazing stay!

My family rented this property in July for a reunion. Getting the rental set up was easy, the owner is incredibly responsive and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. On arrival we found the house was beyond perfect in every way. Each bedroom had great views, plenty of room, and comfy beds. We had five adults and three kids in the party and with this rental, we all had space and freedom to spread out. The kitchen was INCREDIBLE!! Everything you could need was there. Including serving platters, Coffee machine, sharp knives, plenty of plates, glassware, vases etc. The property was beautifully landscaped up above the valley with spectacular views to the north, south and west. And the pool was perfectly situated to capture those views. The kids had a wonderful time cooling off in it during the heat of the Sonoma summer. The property manager lives right next door and is the most helpful person you could ask for. All my family fell in love with the place and it was so hard to leave....We will be returning here again soon I hope.

This house is just amazing in every way! First, the location of Sonoma County with beautiful weather, lots of amazing local wineries and restaurants and views to die for made for the perfect setting! Sonoma is not as much of a tourist trap as Napa thankfully and it helped make our decision to head here for a girl's weekend. But, the house on top of the location was a beautiful hidden gem on top of a Mountain, far enough from the crowds but very close driving distance (as long as you don't get too dizzy on the drive up!). Immediately we all walked in and grabbed our cameras since the view is so incredible on top of the cutely decorated but not overcrowded with decoration home (which is great for a rental so less stuff to remember where it was or crowd out your own packed bags!). Sadly the night we planned to spend some pool time, it was a little too chilly for the visiting East Coasters but instead we still got to sit on the adirondack chairs on the expansive deck and watch as the clouds rolled over the hills and eventually even engulfed us in a cloud as we sipped local wine! It has so much room to comfortably fit a big group of family and friends. It has all the amenities you need in the kitchen and a grill on the deck, lots of table space and a huge couch so everyone can always sit together, and lots of bedrooms so you can sneak a moment to yourself and still enjoy the view if needed since each room peers over the mountain into the rolling hills. I couldn't have even imagined a better place especially at such a reasonable price. This is the type of place where pictures of your vacation make people very jealous and helps make memories even more memorable!

What a drive up to the property! Stunning views and beautiful grounds. The house was well laid out and kitchen fully stocked. We had 6 people there for a company meeting which functioned very well for us. It made work a pleasure and we will do it again!

This is absolutely a five-star property – even better than the pictures. The view is spectacular but the house is private and secluded. The deck is the place to be to enjoy the view – any time of the day (morning tea is particularly nice) or night. The pool is beautiful, surrounded by olive trees and beautiful landscaping. It was the perfect spot for relaxing. We loved the open plan of the kitchen, dining room, and the airy step-down living room – all great gathering spaces. The house was spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and wonderful linens. The owners were so gracious and helpful. Oh, did I mention that every bedroom has a view? Definitely a first-class place – wonderful location for getting around Sonoma and Napa but also the perfect home to come back to. We hope to be back soon!

the pictures don't do the view justice. You have complete command of the entire valley. You could spend hours just sitting in the comfy deck chairs, sipping wine and waiting for the sun to set right in front of you. Kitchen was great for our large group and it has the sharpest knifes in any rental I've ever had. The open feeling of the house was great for hanging out, preparing meals, and watching a movie on the giant flat screen tv. Definately one of the gems, especially at this price range, of all the Wine country rentals with a view. It was to cold to enjoy the pool but its location and view would be ideal during the summer. The owners was always quick to respond and took the time to call to make sure everything was okay and ask if we were enjoying ourselves. Thanks again for a great trip.

Owner response: Thanks - it's great to be able to share this wonderful property. Next time you need to come when the weather is warmer so you can take advantage of the pool and the gorgeous sunsets. All the best - and happy birthday to your mum : )

This country home is ideal for families or several couples. The location is near the town of Sonoma and many vineyards. Yet it is situated away from the tourist areas so that one can enjoy to peacefulness of being nestled in the mountains with great views of Sonoma Valley. The facilities themselves are impeccably clean and nicely decorated. Everything you need to live comfortably is there, including wi fi, Blu Ray, large flat screen and cable. The swimming pool and the pool deck is delightful and very refreshing, especially during the hot weather. Robert, the family member and caretaker living in a cottage adjoining the house, is extremely knowledgeable about the area and things to do, and he is always helpfully available to help out in case there are questions or concerns about anything which comes up.
