We have just completed extensive renovations to our two-bedroom, one-bathroom condominium located across the street from both the famous Waikiki Beach and Magic Island at Ala Moana Beach Park. Everything is new from floor to ceiling in this condo complex known as Ala Wai Terrace - a 44-unit condo just 20 minutes from Honolulu Airport (HNL).
Enjoy the views of the ocean, marvel stunning rainbows as they stretch across the sky before you, and walk to anywhere in Waikiki from this central location - only minutes from restaurants, Waikiki Beach, Waikiki Marina, Hilton Hawaiian Village, and the Ala Moana Shopping Center.
The spacious living room is influenced by modern design. Enjoy your 52' flat screen television (with basic cable) while relaxing on your soft, Italian leather sofa, which also converts to a Queen-size bed. Floor to ceiling sliding glass doors give you a breathtaking view and open onto your 120 sq. ft. lanai, where your outdoor living begins. Enjoy your morning coffee watching the sunrise or a romantic dinner as the sun sets over Makakilo. Enjoy the fireworks hosted every Friday night (7:45pm) by Hilton Hawaiian Village right from your lanai.
There are two bedrooms that share a full bathroom. Both bedrooms have Queen-sized platform beds, with 12 drawers for your clothes. The beds have Tempur-pedic mattresses and 700 thread count Egyptian cotton linens, guaranteed to bring a restful nights' sleep. The bathroom has a tub / shower combination with a full body shower system - a rain shower head, a hand-held shower wand and separate body sprays for the ultimate in pampering. The 60' vanity comes with plenty of room to store your toiletries.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need for entertaining your family and friends - full-size fridge and stove, built-in microwave, water cooler, lots of pots, pans, tupperware, glassware and dinner settings for six. The central air conditioning can be individually controlled in each bedroom as well as the living room. This unit has everything you need for an enjoyable winter or summer stay in paradise.
There is also an assigned parking stall on the ground level that is included at no additional charge. Coin-operated washers and dryers are located on the first floor for your convenience.
Owners live in Honolulu and are fully available before and during your stay to address and questions or concerns that may arise.

My stay at the Ala Wai Terrace 2 Bedroom condo was disappointing. The floors and bathtub was not clean from the 1st night that we got there. The toilet seat cover was broken . And also on the ad posted they did not mention that there is a service fee charged when you make your payment through VRBO. They should let renters know that on the ad. The good things about the place, was that is was roomy enough for 3 kids and 3 adults and that it was close to all the amenitys.Recommended for: Families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. We truly appreciate hearing from our guests! We were very sorry to hear that you were disappointed! We do our utmost to ensure our condos are exceptional in every way, and we do our best to accomodate all of our guests' requests, in order to help make their vacations truly memorable. Before and after each occupancy, we have a cleaning company come in and the unit is cleaned from top to bottom, adhereing to strict guidelines and checklists. My husband and I routinely inspect the units in between bookings, to ensure our guidelines are being followed and the condos and contents are not damaged in any way. We live on Island, and make ourselves available to address any concerns, or answer any questions our guests may have. We encourage our guests to contact us upon their arrival. If there is anything that they are unhappy with, or if anything is not working properly or damaged in any way, we need to be notified in order to remedy it. If we are not notified, we cannot correct the situation. Unfortunately, we did not hear from you until day 5 of your stay, at which time we received an email from you notifying us that the bathtub and floors were not clean upon your arrival. Although my husband had personally inspected the property the morning of your arrival, we immediately contacted you and offered to bring our cleaning company in and clean the condo again, at your convenience and at no cost to you, however you unfortunately declined our offer. The service fee you mentioned had nothing to do with your credit card payment, but was the damage protection insurance which is included in all of my VRBO quotes and is also in all of my rental agreements, including the rental agreement you accepted. The total you were quoted, is the total you paid. The Homeowners who use VRBO to rent their properties either choose this method, or charge a damage deposit (usually in the amount of $400-$500 per week) which is paid upfront and held until after departure when the property has been inspected for damage. The Damage Protection Insurance is a minimal payment in comparison and preferred by almost all guests over paying a large damage deposit when booking their vacation rental. We wish you the best, and truly hope you will come back and stay with us if you choose to come back to our beautiful Island. Dana and Christian Serino

Our family of 6 (2 kids, 2 parents, 2 grandparents) just returned from this beautiful condo in amazing Honolulu with the best experience one could ever hope for. The owners did their utmost to make our stay perfect. In two instances they went beyond what we could have expected, outside of the contract agreement, to ensure additions to our comfort! This condo is central to Honolulu attractions, shopping, dining, strolling, so the car is not really needed. It is across the street from the sandy, beautiful Waikiki beach. Grocery store is on the corner, a minute away. The condo is very pretty with nearly everything new; it fit all 6 of us comfortably; it has a big balcony with a great view of the ocean and the marina. The building is secured, the area terrific for strolling around. We wholeheartedly recommended this condo (and these wonderful owners) to many of our friends. We hope to go back soon.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3
