If you desire tranquility with an incredible panoramic view, then this is the place for you. Enjoy sitting out on the back deck while grilling your favorite foods and scanning the mountain side for a plethora of animals including mountain sheep, deer, elk and more! Just five miles away is the Stillwater Trail, which goes 25 miles over the Beartooth Mountains into Yellowstone Park. Along the way are scores of lakes stocked with fish.
The cabin retreat has been completely remodeled and is a perfect place for a weekend visit or vacation stay.

This is indeed a serene river setting. The cabin is very well equipped. We have rented through VRBO many times and this is one of the best places we have found. If you have any idea of a little outing up the Stillwater, rent this place. You will not be disappointed; everything is as advertised...and better!Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Ours was a quiet, pleasant stay; the well-decorated cabin had all the necessary comforts: full kitchen, comfortable bed, clean and modern bath, great BBQ on the spacious deck.. Walking distance to the Stillwater River and just minutes away from the super "watering hole" and gourmet restaurant called "Montana Jack's. Hiking trails into the Beartooth Primitive Area are just a short drive away also. Brenda was a gracious and very helpful hostess. We hope to be back again some day!Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin is updated and very cozy, has all the necessities, very clean and the bed is comfortable. Great place to stay for a weekend or a week. The only drawback is that there is no cell service and no phone which is great if you don't want anybody bothering you and don't need to stay in touch.Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

The cabin is just as it appears in the photos - a great getaway for a couple. It has a complete kitchen, great grill, and super comfortable bed with soft linens. The cabin is located in the Stillwater valley among the beautiful Beartooth Mountains. The Stillwater River is about 100yds from the cabin deck. Be sure to go to the Woodbine Trailhead and hike the trail along the dramatic falls. The cabin is a terrific place to relax, read a good book and listen to music -but no TV to bring you back to reality. Really enjoyed our time at Stillwater Retreat.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The cabin was fully furnished and tastefully decorated. Brenda was very nice and helpful in explaining everything about the cabin. The setting was beautiful. The only thing that would have been better was if the cabin was farther off the road and closer to the river.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing.

In a spur of the moment surprise I was able to secure this quaint and wonderful cabin. The owners were very gracious and made our "first time cabin rental" an extraordinary experience. The cabin had everything someone could want or need (the coffee pot was a GREAT hit with my mom)! We listened to records (a GREAT hit with my dad) and CDs while we played cards. I can't think of a better way to spend time with the family and will hopefully be able to book a longer stay next year. I would agree with the other review about a bit of shade for the deck but the early evening had plenty of shade.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.

We enjoyed our stay at the Stillwater Retreat. It is very clean, modern and had a comfortable king sized bed. It was a perfect getaway for relaxing and fishing. Only recommendation I have is to possibly add a little shade to the deck with a canopy. We loved eating our meals outside looking at the beautful scenery, but it was blistering hot so it we weren't able to use the deck as much as we would of liked. Great place to stay and great location. Thank you for letting us enjoy it for a weekend.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Brenda and Tom, We just wanted to take this opportunity to express how much we enjoyed our weekend stay at the cabin. As you are aware, the scenery is second to none and the Stillwater River makes a great back yard. Although the weather threw everything except the kitchen sink at us, we were comfortable and relaxed with the wood stove crackling in the background. It was great..... thanks again.
