We stayed in this one-bedroom condo from March 1-7, 2012, originally signing a contract to do so 70 days before. At the time we signed the contract the property specified it had, among other things, “Dryer,” “Washer,” “Cable/Satellite TV,” and “Stereo System.” However, when we arrived none of these things were in the condo. We contacted the owner and she explained that she had made changes on the listing, eliminating these above items, since we had signed the contract. Unfortunately she had not informed us. The owner said she was very sorry, arranging and paying for us to wash our clothes elsewhere, and providing us with an amplifier that could be used with an Ipod. Luckily we did have an Ipod with us and were able to make use of the amplifier. In addition, and very significantly, the owner also reduced our total bill by 31%, which we very much appreciated. However, we never did get to see TV that week, something which we had very much been looking forward to in order to help us improve our Spanish . Despite and except for the above, the condo was otherwise very nice and we would recommend it to others who might be interested in staying in the area. With our rental car we were less than 5 minutes away from the very nice nearby Portezuelo beach and most other things (restaurants, grocery stores, foreign exchange offices, etc.) were no more than 10-15 minutes away by car.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.

My husband and I stayed in this condo for 5 days over the Christmas holiday and found it to be absolutely amazing! The entire complex is very lovely with flowers and plants everywhere you look. The condo is very clean and better than advertised. The Manager and staff are very friendly and do everything they can to be sure that your stay is wonderful! We are from the Dallas, Texas area, have traveled to many places around the world, and we do not think that anything we have seen compares to Punta del Este. We did have a rent car while we were there and recommend it so that you can travel the coast and see the other nearby beach towns and sites.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.
