Perfect Oceanfront 4 Bdrm ADA Accessible with Beautiful Views

This stunning 4 Bedroom house has wonderful views from all bedrooms and living space. Complete renovation just completed with new Maple hardwood floors, complete kitchen with granite countertops, new plaster, woodwork, windows, staircase and furniture. Two full tiled bathrooms with showers and the downstairs bath is ADA compliant. Each of the four bedrooms has a full size double bed.
Whether it is looking out the bank of windows facing the ocean or observing the Eagles that perch on a close by island, or watching your neighboring lobstermen's activities on their wharfs or on their boats; there is always something interesting to see. Located on Perio Point, you are in perfect position to stroll around the genuine and friendly village of Beals. This is an excellent place for a fall foliage, Thanksgiving, or Christmas getaway.
Purchase your ocean fresh lobsters from the fisherman who uses the wharf in your back yard, steam them with the outside lobster cooker, and savor them either on the picnic table by the water or in comfort inside. Whether it is Summer or Winter, sunny or foggy, warm (never hot) or chilly, once you cross the bridge from the mainland the rhythm of the tides (12') is hard to resist.
You will never lack for things to see and do. A short 5 minute drive takes you to the end of Beals Island to Wass Island where the Downeast Institute is located along with some of the U.S.'s best hiking, kayaking and birdwatching. Another short trip (about 5 miles) takes you to beautiful Sandy Beach, which is not only picturesque but great for sunbathing or a refreshing dip. Acadia National Park, Schoodic Point, Campobello Island, St. John N.B., Eastport, and Quoddy Head are all an easy and fun day trip.
From sardine museum to mustard factory to reversing rapids to tiny baby lobsters to giant whirlpools; you can see it all. And the world's best seafood. Lobster, Crabmeat, Scallops, Mussels, Clams, Haddock, Halibut, and Gulf of Maine Shrimp to either be prepared to your taste in the new and fully equipped kitchen or enjoyed at one of the excellent (and typically modestly priced) restaurants in the area.
For our guests who require handicap accessibility there is a 'to code' entrance ramp leading to the open downstairs living area. The downstairs tiled bath is equipped with a roll under sink, ADA toilet, an open shower with fold down ADA bench, hand control shower head, and grab bars. Downstairs sleeping accommodations are a full size American Leather sleeper sofa, purportedly the finest available.
The furniture has been selected for both attractiveness and comfort. There is WiFi, Dish Network Television, and a DVD player. And, of course, a game of Monopoly.

This property had the feel of home with excellent views out of every window - wish I had this living room in my own house. The house was recently renovated, in excellent condition and well appointed, including barbecue and lobster pot with charcoal and all the utensils. I loved the secluded walks on Great Wass Island just 3-4 miles south of the property. Lobster was fresh off the boat just over the bridge from the house. Campobello was a great day trip across the Canadian boarder - don't miss the chocolates at Monica's on the way. This was a great little remote get away.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.

What can I say Phil, your place is beautiful. We had such an amazing time... we can't wait to come back again... Phil and Pat gave us some great suggestions on what to see and where to eat.... Your home is beautiful inside and out.... we couldn't have asked for anything more... We watched the sun rise every day from the upstairs bedroom.... something we don't get to do often at home... John is still raving about Helen's pie.. it’s the best we have ever had.... Look forward to coming back again when they drain the lobster pounds…. Everyone who views this house should book it... just don't book it for the weeks we want to come...Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

This house is immaculate and has every amenity you need for a vacation. The location is fascinating and central for exploring Downeast Maine. We went north to Campobello, Eastport, Lubec, Quoddy Head Light and then south to Acadia and Schoodic Point. Everyone we met was friendly and interesting and we agree that the view from the house was very entertaining. Phil and Pat were perfect to work with: responsive and very helpful. They even gave us good information about Vermont, where we were before we got to Perio Point. Our security deposit has already arrived and we just left Beals Island on Saturday. You couldn't ask for nicer people to rent from. Book now for 2013, because this house is going to be in demand.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Beals. The house at 9 Perio Point was very comfortable for the 6 of us, including two children ages 3 and 5. The kids were particularly excited to each have their own big bed, and there was plenty of room outdoors for them to run around. The kitchen was very functional and well-appointed with pots and pans a cut above the usual ones you find in rentals. The views from all sides of the house were very engaging, and it was really interesting to experience the rhythms of the community: the boats going out and coming in; the church bell tolling, etc. We're from San Francisco, so it was a pleasure to really slow down for a few days. There are a number of great beaches in the area, and my in-laws made a day trip to Acadia National Park, which they thoroughly enjoyed. Can't wait to go back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children.

Our family immensely enjoyed a week at this very beautifully appointed house. We loved watching the sea roll in and loved the authenticity of the Beals Island fishing village and its very friendly people (a neighbor who is also a fisherman offered to lend our son his fishing equipment!) Because we like to cook at home alot we were also pleased to find the kitchen completely and thoughtfully equipped. A piano for our musician sons... sunny rooms with the sea at our doorstep, really we couldn't ask for anything more!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, age 55+.

The way to do it is to stay at this wonderful house. It is totally up to date, beautifully and confortably furnished, has all the amenities anyone will need to feel right at home. The views from all the windows are beautiful. Sandy beach is not far; great trails to hike on Great Wass nature preserve also nearby; if you don't want to cook, walk down the street for local "fast food" and ice cream. Highly recommended, and we'd happily return for another stay!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children.

We were the first user that needed the accessiablity. The property is very well done with no issues for a person in a wheelchair. The bathroom is all shower and is very large. It works great for anyone but especially suited for a chair user. The view is like a slow motion movie with no comercials. The tide is always changing thus the view is always different. The kitchen is well equipped for those that want to eat in as we did. Plenty of seafood close by that is the best Maine has to offer. If you are looking for bright lights and night life this is not your place. If you are looking for peace and quite and meeting some real nice folks this is your place. Most enjoyable. Remember to look for the Eagles.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, age 55+, adventure seekers.
