Like crabs? You have found the place. Some of the best seafood restaurants in Maryland are located on Kent Island.Or,you can crab and fish from your private dock. Kent Island also offers boating, fishing, swimming,or biking and hiking trails. You can even launch your own boat at the ramp close by, or keep it at the marina just 1/2 mile away.Just across the bridge to Annapolis is Sandy Point Beach, or 4 miles South off Route 8 is Kentmore Restaurant which has its' own open beach. A new beach just opened at Matapeake, just 2 miles South off route #8.
The convenience of great sightseeing in Annapolis, Washington DC, Baltimore, and Saint Michaels, are all within 30 to 60 minutes. One local favorite is the Queenstown Outlets only 10 miles away. There are also several golf courses near by.

We spent three nights at this lovely home at the end of July. It was HOT outside but very comfortable inside with use of AC and fans. And most of the day was comfortable enough out on the deck/dock as long as there was a breeze. The pictures don't do the house or view justice. The kitchen/living area on the top floor are the the best indoor areas of the house. The kitchen seems pretty new and opens into the main living area. Really great for just hanging out and admiring the view. We got to watch some spectacular nighttime summer thunderstorms. Bedrooms and baths are all as described. Nothing fancy but very comfortable. The house is ideal for up to 3 couples (if you had a 4th, they'd have to sleep in separate twin beds). Or two couples with some kids. There is a nice playroom type area downstairs for kids. We didn't have a lot of time to visit local restaurants etc. but there is a grocery store very nearby and a great crab shack. We were visiting Maryland for a specific event this time around and don't have much reason normally to be in the area....but it was so nice that we might consider family get togethers here again...for no reason! Thanks to the Williams for sharing their lovely home.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

What a great place to stay. A great location, beautiful sunsets and Kent Island is a fun place to explore. 4 couples gathered here to celebrate a special birthday for a long weekend, and there was more then enough room. 1/2 hour from Annapolis, allowed us to tour the Naval Academy. Tried many restaurants. We went sea kayaking through Blue Heron Eco tours. But most of all, we just enjoyed sitting on the dock or the pier. The hot tub is a plus, too. Friendly neighbors, too! And owners are easy to work with to rent the house. A very nice community. We can not wait to go back!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

A perfect place to stay and explore the Eastern shore of the Chesapeake and Annapolis. The house is perfect for relaxation and comfort, and the view is amazing! We enjoyed just sitting on the deck, glass of wine in hand, watching the boats go by. We will definitely return!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, girls getaway.

Cozy and beautiful house with spectacular view of the bay and the bridge! We spent four days there. The kids had a lot of fun fishing, biking and site seeing. The grandparents liked to sit on the balcony overlooking the bay, and they really enjoyed the beautiful sunset. Very quiet, safe and friendly neighborhood. Definitely will go back.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We rented this wonderful house for a long weekend fishing/relaxation trip in August 2011. The house has a great location just minutes from the bridge. There are beautiful views of the water, bridge and Annapolis on the far shore. The house itself is in a quiet residential neighborhood. The owners are easily to contacted and respond promptly to e-mails and telephone calls. I hope that this house is available for our next trip to the chesapeake!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Matt, Thanks for the review. Hope you will visit us again. George

Thanks for a fun time. Our friends loved it. We just laid back and partyed (quietly). Too bad the hot tub was closed. We apologise for breaking a cup and plate. Please deduct them from our security. Can we contact you soon for a summer rental next year? The GirlsDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1
