We have stayed in this unit for one week every year since 2004 and can say that it has truly been designed to be a home away from home for the lucky families that choose to stay with there. From the minute you walk into the unit, you know you are staying in a place that the owners care about. The décor is beautiful and the furniture is comfortable and inviting. The kitchen boasts granite countertops that provide a little touch of luxury that makes it a nice place to be, even on vacation. Every appliance and dish you might need is provided and a new, larger dishwasher makes cleanup quick so you can get back to the business of having fun. Barstools at the bar and a dining table in the living room provide seating for eight. An in suite high speed/high density washer and dryer is available also. The pillow-top king-size bed in the master bedroom is amazing and the oceanfront view can’t be beat. There is also a Chaise in the master bedroom that can be turned to face the ocean while you read a good book in the air conditioning if you need a break from the sun! Each room has its own full bath and the master bedroom has a Jacuzzi tub. Little touches like nice soaps, shampoos, and lotions are a bonus for those who enjoy a nice long soak. The entertainment center in the living room is beautiful and showcases a flat screen television. The master bedroom and guest suite also have televisions. All three televisions come with DVD players and there are even a few dvd’s available in the room Wireless Internet is also available as well as a Bose stereo system—in short, you should have all you will ever need to entertain yourself if you find yourself facing the occasional rainy afternoon. The whole experience is relaxing. An oceanfront balcony off the master bedroom, an ocean-view balcony off the living room and a city-view balcony off the guest suite provides a shady spot all day long where you can sit and relax and you also get a front row seat for the stunning show nature puts on as the sun rises and sets. The owners work hard to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable and we appreciate and enjoy their efforts.

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Definitely worth it. Our best vacation ever!

(I should note that we did not stay in this particular unit, but in another unit owned/managed by Dennis & Carmen in the same property. However, many of the room features were identical to this one.) I just wanted to comment on how wonderful our time was this past week Working with Dennis & Carmen was really easy. I was a first-time condo user, so I had a million questions which they patiently answered. It was also my first time in Daytona Beach, so they were gracious enough to answer a few questions about the area as well. The financial side went smoothly as well. The rooms themselves were much more impressive in person than they were in the photos, and they looked really nice in the photos! Clean, spacious, plenty of seating, nice appliances, flat screen television, jacuzzi tub (amazing). The beds were very comfortable. Ceiling fans in each room were a big plus for us, as we like it really cool. The automatic icemaker in the refrigerator was also a nice feature. And the free wifi in the room was a big help (resort-owned rooms don't have this option). Oh, and the view . . . SPECTACULAR! We had an unobstructed, direct view out into the Atlantic from the balcony (and from the living room and the bedroom) every morning for the sunrise (you'll be able to take some really nice photos from there, trust me). We had read some negative reviews about the Ocean Walk property on another site (not about Dennis & Carmen, but about the entire property as a whole) -- specifically about slow check-in times, rude staff, slow elevators, etc. Our check-in process went very quickly and smoothly and all of the staff that we spoke with during the week were very friendly and helpful. Catching an elevator can be difficult at times due to the size of the resort, so be patient. As for the property, it was very nice. Multiple pools, lots of seating, lazy river, mini golf, activities for the kids (and adults) planned each day, arcade, gameroom. Just a very nice place. And security was a priority -- ID bracelets for residents, locking gates, security staff present all over. And you are directly on the beach -- easy access on and off. Set up your chairs, umbrellas, awnings and enjoy! Overall, we LOVED it and had a great time hanging out in the room, enjoying the property and soaking up the sun on the beach. Home away from home but better!

My family stayed in this condo this past March, 2011. We couldn't have been happier. Completely updated, clean, beautiful. We loved the decor and colors so much that we even want to decorate our home in this same style. The master bedroom with the unbelievable mattress, private oceanfront balcony, and jacuzzi tub was the best part. Two other balconies, the fully stocked kitchen, and flat screen tv with media library even made staying in special. Will definitely visit Daytona again and will only stay in this condo!

Dear Dennis, Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed your condo at ocean walk. It was perfect in every way. We would definitely rent it again. A few main things I liked were number 1 of course how clean and like new your condo was. The decor was very up to date and pretty. Everything we needed or wanted was at our fingertips. The beds were very comfortable and it was great to have plenty of blankets and great pillows. I love the three view from the balconies. The pools were the main attraction for our children and used often. The indoor pool was great the day it rained. They also enjoyed the arcade. It was just a great resort in which to stay. Just returned home from a week at the Ocean Walk. The 2 bedroom 2 bath condo was top-notch! Plenty of room for everyone, and with the kids in the "mini-suite" unit, plenty of privacy for parents! Views were spectacular from all three balconies. All the comforts of home, including washer/dryer, fully-equipped kitchen, and super-comfy beds!! Tons of activities for everyone, especially the kids who made all kinds of crafts and played organized games in the pool every day. We couldn't have been more pleased. Thanks again Dennis and Carmen, for "saving" our vacation
