  Had a blissful week in Sayulita and Casa de la Vida. Fully equipped with all that could be needed on holiday (insert cappuccino maker), and was equal parts private, spacious, safe and secure. Daytimes spent poolside and evenings spent admiring views of the sunset. And lounging in the hanging bed was enjoyed anytime of day. Sayulita & Casa de la Vida are worth a second trip!

  Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

  We had a truly wonderful stay at Casa de la Vida. The house is splendid. We admired its charming architecture and a great taste of the interior design (beautiful art work!). Our room was just fabulous, very specious and with an outstanding stone built bathroom! A very special part of our vacation was sitting on the gorgeous terrace with friends and a glass of wine watching the sun sets and the breath-taking view of the ocean. We loved the location of the Casa in a very quiet, exclusive neighbourhood (only a 2 minutes’ walk to the beach!). Thanks to the adventurous spirit of the owners we explored the area hiking the jungle trails, swimming in the ocean, going on excursions and discovering Mexican cuisine. My husband had a great time biking with Jim and I enjoyed the yoga classes with Anita who is an amazing instructor. I could also practice my poor Spanish with Azucena, a very friendly housekeeper. We recommend Casa de la Vida to couples who want to have a relaxing and tranquil getaway, families with young kids and teenagers (the swimming pool is great) and people keen on adventure like learning to surf. Yes, it is possible even in our age 50+… We did it! So, we highly recommend Casa de la Vida basically to everyone who wants to “carpe diem”! Thank you so much Anita and Jim!

  Beautiful view! Excellent location, so close to the beach! Azucena's cooking was excellent! This place is highly recommended.

  We had a great 2 days stay, perfect location for the beach also great views of the ocean. The outside living is amazing, we had 3 teenagers and it was perfect, the pool and activities on the terrace they loved. We will definately stay again.

  Our group of 8 friends had a wonderful time at Casa de la Vida. Anita was quick to respond to our emails, and was helpful as we prepared for our trip. The house is beautiful, and we especially enjoyed evenings on the patio, having dinner al fresco while watching the sun set - with entertainment provided by the geckos on the ceiling. The view from the patio or pool is fantastic - we scoped out the local surf break in the mornings before heading in, and saw whales breaching several times. From the house, you can be at the beach in minutes (although the main beach and surf break is about 15 minutes walk away). Downtown Sayulita is friendly and charming, and is also about 15 minutes walk. There are also some great jungle trails, just next to the house. Azucena (the housekeeper) was delightful and kept the house tidy. She is also a great cook, and with Anita's recommendation we had her cook meals for us several times during our stay. It was indeed delicious, and she was very gracious to accommodate our special requests (making part of the meal vegan/vegetarian friendly). If you want to cook for yourself, the kitchen is well stocked with all the dishes/utensils you will need, and there is also a gas barbeque for your use. We also really enjoyed eating in town - especially breakfast at Rollie's, lunch at Burrito Revolucion, and dinner at Il Vizietto (amazing pizza and fresh pasta, on the right before you cross the river - look for the swings!). The quarters were a little tight for 8 adults (families with children would probably be more comfortable at that number), but it worked out just fine for our group. If you are planning a large group, be aware that although 2 bedrooms are very spacious and have attached baths, the 3rd bedroom is small and has a separate entrance at the back of the house and no bathroom. Overall, we had a wonderful time! Thank you Anita & Jim for sharing your beautiful home - we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

  Our holiday to Sayulita was wonderful. The house is beautiful and located just a short walk to the beach. We spent time everyday laying on the terrace, cooling off in the pool and running through the waves. Downtown, there are several great restaurants for both a fancy night out and a fish taco to go. We went zip lining for a little adventure and had a great time. We highly recommend this excursion!! Azucena makes amazing salsa and guacamole and she keeps the house clean and fresh. We slept in the second bedroom. It is very large and the bathroom is amazing. The room was a cool place to retire to after a day in the sun.

  We loved it! Casa de la Vida is just beautiful .... my husband and I enjoyed the tranquility of it all, private setting with a lovely pool for those dips! Outdoor living at its best, gorgeous sunsets too! A short 5 minute walk brings you to the most beautiful beach ever not to mention 10 minutes into the village either on the beach road or on the beach. The fresh produce, which we purchased daily and the fresh 'catch of the day' - throw it on the grill and voila, dinner is served! There are many incredible restaurants to choose from as well with street vendors grilling up some amazing fish tacos! We can't wait to go back! We highly recommend Casa de la Vida! Check it out, you'll fall in love!
